Pros: Good overall cross trainer for $599. Very quiet to use. A wide range of work outs and resistance to select from. Programmable time, calories, distance, etc. Looks solid and durable (I hope).i'm happy with the purchase. Cons: Took 3-4 hours to assemble (instructions could have been better, parts labelled, etc), very short aux cable supplied, on-board speakers sounded tinny like my mobile phone speaker. Handles seem a bit high for me to reach. Notes: LED screen is controlled by single dial knob in the centre (you push it and turn it to set and select things). Runs on mains power. I found the stride and feel isn't as smooth as one would expect when compared to the more $$$ cross trainers at the gym (but you get what you pay for).

I'm a big guy, and small things just don't sit well with me even when you talk about a cross trainer. It was always an uncomfortable experience with cross trainers because most of what I tried was with a rather small stride length. The X-41 impressed me the moment I tried it for the first time. It was such a relief, thanks to its big 42cm stride length. Also very impressed with the amount of resistance I can get out it. I still use the same cross trainer after about 8 months, and I'm super happy.

I'm quite impressed with this product. It was relatively easy to put together. The programs are great and easy to choose what you want. It's quiet and smooth with a good stride length. My only negative comment is it can be a little clunky when holding on to the long arms when there is little resistance/load bearing.Overall I think it is good value with the electronic programming with many training options. The Fitlink app is a bonus with your phone.

Item as described, does take some time to put together as expected but instructions had it covered, would suggest having your own tools to make it easier than the small tools provided. Not noisy, great size, does what its supposed to do and has programs or manual options. Does require power and you may require an extension lead. Happy with the purchase and the price. Have bought Lifespan before and will continue to do so.
I was able to put the machine together myself in a few hours, it wasn't as difficult as expected based on other reviews I'd read. Have used a couple of the different programs, seems to have reasonable resistance and is pretty easy to use. Looking forward to trying all of the programs and getting the full benefit from it.
I was a bit confused during assembly till I realised the instructions only covered one side of the machine, you obviously then have to assemble the mirror image on the other side.I strongly recommend getting some grease and lubricating the axles as you build it. I had to pull it apart after a couple of weeks to lubricate the moving parts as it was very squeaky.I'm about 77kgs and it wobbles a bit when I get going, I wouldn't want to be any heavier on this machine. But I do get a very good workout and it's really convenient being able to jump on anytime. Definitely satisfied with the purchase.
I am very happy with the X-41 cross trainer. It does take time to put together. My partner and I took a few hours. It would be good to have 2 people putting it together but it's worth it. Happy that I have something while the gyms are closed! I think the quality is very good.
Very happy with the Lifespan x41. Has everything I want in a cross trainer. You can choose your own workout or use one of the preset programs. Bonus being able to plug in iPod. Took about 2 hours to put together but was pretty straightforward.
I have had this for about a month now and am finding it really good. It has many different programs, so far I have only used the beginner but plan to increase to the other levels. At this point I am using 2-3 times per week and it is going well. It took my husband a couple of hours on his own to put together. I leave it set up in a spare bedroom but it could be moved around easily if required. My only pick at this point is the power cord isnt very long. For me to have the cross trainer on the side of room I prefer I need to use an extension cord to reach the power point.
Says can take 120kg. I'm 95. Feels flimsy with my weight and strength. Can't go in reverse mode or it stops registering that you are still using it. This is a replacement. 1st machine had a structural problem that made assembly impossible. HN should warn about the amount of assembly required. Not that it's difficult, just time consuming.
