Absolutely love my lifx bulb for the bedroom! It's set to automatically turn on in the morning, as well as change to a red at night before lowering brightness and eventually turning off at bedtime.Will be buying lots more lifx products!

Easy to set up, straight forward app to download. Works with Google and Alexa. Bright colours, and I mean bright. Red is normally dull, but this is bright! If you want a simple smart light bulb with colours, it's worth spending the money for LIFX. Plus it is way better than the other popular overrated smart light.

Pros: Does all the colour change stuff and moods as advertised.Cons: Lots I don't like. It doesn't always remember settings or it reverts to bright, and it is really difficult to get out of mood or colour mode. There seems to be no cancel setting and simply changing to ordinary light doesn't shift the mood or colour setting. I had to shut down, disconnect, and reconnect to get out of colour. And it wouldn't even change colour. It kept reverting to the one colour. They haven't refined this enough yet to charge the amount being charged. NOT HAPPY.

Bulbs suffer from an issue in the firmware where if they are left connected for too long, they have DNS hostname connection problems and effectively 'soft-brick' themselves (go back to being dumb lights) and they have to be reset.
This is the 5th bulb I have , I have 4 new ones and one older one, the older one is not quite as bright/ white on the ice white setting, but other wise its just as good. They all need to be programed to work only with the 2.4g signal even the new ones.It is much easeyer to turn of the 5g signal whilst setting up, I had to turn of the 5g signal and call it a different SSID name while I got them all working then I made my router so that the 2.4g is not visable to outher equipment , then I turned the 5g back on with a different SSID and re set up all my other wifi equipment on the 5g wifi. I am using a Virgin Media Super Hub 2 for the conection. Another point when setting up more than one light is to just turn one on at a time make the conection give it a name, then turn it of and do the same with the next one, this makes it a lot easyer to follow the set up sequence through The set up is messy and a lot of faff, but once it done it works brill and very effective around the house.
They were very easy to connect to our Wi-Fi and work well. The LIFX app on my phone makes it very easy to control the globes singly or as a pair. Or from our Logitech smart remote.
I now have over a dozen Lifx lights spread across 2 homes, as well as a strip. No hub required and the app is a breeze to use. I'm planning to get a couple more strips and then some switches so I can also use the app to control some other dumb lights. Love the colours and love the easy scheduling.
Pros: Beautiful spectrum of colours at your fingertips and integrating into your home could not be easier. At a time when most 'smart' products need a controlling hub, the hubless LIFX range really help keep the home wire free (which is why we are doing this right?). Would most certainly buy more, subject to obtaining a large overdraft to fund purchase! Cons: Price is an inhibitor for Lifx - competitive pricing on other products means, especially for your first purchase, this is a real leap of faith.
Given that I'm only new to smart lighting that's fair enough but I won't be keeping these and going with a different brand. One bulb buzzed which was worthy of replacement anyway but then I was only able to link and control one bulb, despite being given to codes to scan the Lifx App kept telling me I had already added it as though both codes were for the one bulb!
I just got these Yesterday so don't yet know long term how good they will be. On first impressions though- they are amazing! The app is great. So many different ways to customise everything. However there is one thing I haven't seen any smart lights achieve- brown. They cant make brown!
