My elation when first connecting these to home kit was short lived as the beam angle is very wide and it cast ugly shadows on my walls and ceiling. Most people probably wont notice or mind but if your place was architect designed to have lights with a specific beam angle you might not be so pleased with these. The other lifx with the slightly narrower beam angle are still flush to the ceiling (no hood) so will also have this issue. Especially if you have sharp corners in the ceiling or dark walls. Otherwise the product is fantastic which makes this small detail even more disappointing... quality and features are exactly what you want! It's just this one issue of lack of options for beam angle and hoods to control how the light is cast.
