Bulbs suffer from an issue in the firmware where if they are left connected for too long, they have DNS hostname connection problems and effectively 'soft-brick' themselves (go back to being dumb lights) and they have to be reset.

Great globe, brighter and better colours than other globes and great whites, easy to use with the LIFX app. It doesn't require a Hub and simply connects to the home Wi-Fi.
Fantastic colour saturation and brightness. Setup can require a little troubleshooting depending on your network but otherwise a great product.
Using theses smart lights with Alexa in our living room and when the movie starts all lights dim to the colour of your choice. Excellent bulbs with many colours and brightness levels. Must have if you are into the Lifx echo systems.
Issues with one bulb loosing WiFi connection, also minor flickering , had to unscrew bulb multiple times for default reset. Still working on how to fix this .Otherwise when not connected to WiFi can be used as normal white lights with no issues.
Purchased on special, easy to install and works well with Siri HomeKit. No additional hub required, just insert into light socket and connect to local wifi. If you’re running your home wifi with a single network running dual bands of 2.4ghz and 5ghz with the capability of WIFI 6 standards. LIFX globs will have drop out issues showing disconnect through Siri and take time to resolve network connectivity with WIFI 6 standards on. For easy fix, disable the option of WIFI 6 in you router. For best network setup, separate your network into two SSID’s running 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks and configure devices to the networks according to wifi mode. All configuration and testing have been done with using the ASUS ZenWiFi XD4 mini mesh network with Apple HomeKit for voice commands.
I mainly bought these lights to adjust the whites temperatures, with some added fun colors thrown in. All colours are distorted somehow - your skin looks bright red and you can tell the difference when walking into the room. They also don’t sync up all the time, one drops out frequently.
We bought another pair about a year ago and they worked perfectly which is why we went back to them. Unfortunately I need to return them as one works with our Google home and the other doesnt. Its not operator error either lol believe me.
