Absolute rubbish. If you do not use Apples Homekit it takes 20 minutes to connect the globe to the Lifx App. Once I finally had it connected it constantly disconnected, about twice a day. I have multiple types of smart globes in my house, Mirabella and Brilliant which are half the price of the Lifx globe and they are easier to setup and do not disconnect. Avoid Lifx globes, there are better and cheaper globes out there.

Pros: When it works, the light effect itself is pleasant. Very helpful help desk and customer service. Cons: Setup can be troublesome and it only connects intermittently. Other reviews highlighted similar issues. The simulated sunrise alarm didn't work at all despite several attempts by the help desk to resolve the issue. A lovely idea and design but very badly executed and not fully ready for the market.

Pros: East to install. Linked to my Echo Dot for voice control and my Harmony controller. Cons: You may need to buy a US screw thread converter although it fits out IKEA lamp well..

Pros: Being able to connect to Amazon Echo and telling Alexa to turn on/off or dim is great. Also like the fact that you don't need to link them to a separate hub to get them to work, as you do with Philips Hue. Cons: They are pricey. Set up through the app is a bit tedious.
Pros: none Cons: I am fairly computer literate but frankly this item, which I cannot get to work, is unacceptable complicated to get working. I have followed the dire instructions which give no detail, make assumptions about your knowledge and provide NO guidance at all. How this product could be released onto the market in this condition is beyond me. If the Smart home is the new "consumer" product then it has to be suitable for the general consumer. This is not. I would AVOID until they sort themselves out. This is NOT consumer friendly. Don't waste your time. I have worked on this for 4-5 hours straight and it is STILL not working. I should have taken heed of the other reviews which mention this. The instructions at not instructions. The app does NOTHING beyond tell you your bulb isn't connected. You have to come out of app and link through networking (Surely this should be what the app does?).This involved leaving wifi connection. Will be sending back if I can't get it to work next attempt.
After I upgraded to Virgin Super Hub 3, worked like a dream, connecting the light to your wifi and then to Alexa can be a bit drawn out - especially if your not Tech Savvy, if your happy just to control from your smart phone, then the process is much easier. Beware! some Broadband Hubs don't work with this Light - check the internet before buying. It didn't work at all with my Virgin Super Hub V1 - but for 14 I was able to upgrade to the latest Virgin SuperHub, which was then fine. Once working they are just great - very well built and very bright.
My first smart bulb. I utterly love them. Hope they will have a big sale soon so I can have them in all rooms.
I initially bought philips hue smart globes for the same price without realising i would require the hue bridge and other accessories. I exchanged for these instead at the same price and was very happy with the result. Set up took me less then 5 minutes and connecting to google home was extremely easy. So far the lights have worked with no issues and can dim very low. If do any other rooms I'll be going for these first instead!
Pros: Fab product, I now had two of these bulbs, they're easy to connect up and the range of colours is amazing on them and it really makes an amazing difference. Cons: With having two bulbs ( one white bulb and one multi coloured bulb ) I can't seem to have them individually on the app... something I must work on...
Pros: Easy to set up and a good starting position for Wireless lighting as these do not require a bridge. Works well with the android app and Amazon Echo. Cons: Same a the Philiips Hue neither of these manufactures offer a E14 solution for small wall lights just E27? All Ikea lights use E14 fittings so someones not doing their marketing homework.
