Essentially, two structural carbon "wings" span the helmet, providing the strength and opening the doors to tweak aerodynamics and ventilation. The pyramidal surface of the longitudinal ribs reduces the impact pressure as its better able to cut through the wind while the reduced thickness allows for easy air intake and improved circulation inside the shell. Furthermore, the helmet's extended tail decreases air resistance by allowing for a gradual detachment that prevents turbulence.
