Although I did quite a bit of research on the product, there was a limitation that wasn't made in clear in the various reviews I'd read. Although you have 9 editable blocks in the signal chain, you can only use 4 to add in effects of your choosing.2 are reserved for volume/wah pedals, 2 for amp and cabinet and a final 1 for an equaliser. However, there is also an effects loop for adding in external hardware effects. One more thing to consider is that the signal processing chain is linear - you can't split it like you can with, eg the Helix Floor or LT.Not deal-breakers for me, but should be considered if you're thinking of getting one.The unit itself is solidly built and the interface is pretty intuitive considering the complexity of the system. Updating the firmware (which added a number of additional effects) was easy - download the Line 6 Updater software, connect via USB, and it'll do it all automagically. The other bit of software to use with it is Pod Go Edit, also available for free from Line 6's website. Pod Go Edit is basically a computer-based version of the Pod Go editing facilities which lets you load/edit/save effect chains and, if you have your Pod Go connected with USB, any changes made will be immediately reflected on the hardware itself. It's all very easy to use.The effects themselves are brilliantly modelled, and there's a LOT of them. There's a wide variety of presets included so you can have a good play even before you get into editing things yourself.Great bit of kit overall.

This did not disappoint and sounds as good as helix and other way more expensive units. Limitless possibilities with custom ir loading and awesome effects. Plenty of people are making great presets you can load in. Some of the factory presets are pretty bad considering how good you can make it sound. Using it for recording and it is the best in its price range. Before this i had a nux mg300 and it also sounded great but with a lot less features. This was a major upgrade in functionality. The effects are great and the only drawback is the limit on how many effect blocks you can use at one time. There's plenty of room to make great sounds though. And the effects loop lets you potentially route a whole pedal board or effects unit and assign those effects to a switch. ... MoreThis did not disappoint and sounds as good as helix and other way more expensive units. Anyone who says this is complicated just doesn't get how it works. I hook it up to my laptop and it has a huge display and is super intuitive. You choose your amp and cab and the effects going before the amp lime od EQ or whatnot and put reverbs and delays after the amp. Just like you would do on a real amp. Tweak your settings and press the save icon and confirm and its saved how you want it. I think good ir is better than their cabs by a little but the cabs sound great with the right mics etc for the sound you are after

I'm blown away by this pedal, I wanted it for the amp sounds for recording and live and these sound incredible with a very good selection to hand (or foot)Some really nice go-to pedals to choose from like verbs, delays, compressors and EQ and also some strange FX which gives you loads of space for creativity.Unless you need absolutely everything the Helix offers I see no reason why you would'nt opt for the Line6 Go.Wireless performance - amazing, no issues with this. The fact that this comes integrated into the pedal is amazing for the price. You can still go old school and cabled if you need to so best of both worlds.Delivery and service from PMT was first class as expected.Extra pros - the pedal is very light and really easy to use - some exceptional basic ... MoreI'm blown away by this pedal, I wanted it for the amp sounds for recording and live and these sound incredible with a very good selection to hand (or foot)Some really nice go-to pedals to choose from like verbs, delays, compressors and EQ and also some strange FX which gives you loads of space for creativity.Unless you need absolutely everything the Helix offers I see no reason why you would'nt opt for the Line6 Go.Wireless performance - amazing, no issues with this. Been playing 6 years now probably have had 15 different amps and this one by far has got to be the easiest to use once you get it dialed in. Plug and play very consistent and extremely versatile. I've made probably 50 patches over the years with this to sound close to real bands and lot of people can hardly tell a difference. Pushes you to be a better player because of what it's capable of doing. Highly recommend this amp.. downfall would be that you need external speakers and a computer to edit the profiles easily but if you have those you'll be set. It has a wah pedal built in but I leave it on my desk and just control it with my hands. Never use the wah pedal but it can also be used as many other things such as volume etc. 10/10 my best amp probably going for the ... MoreBeen playing 6 years now probably have had 15 different amps and this one by far has got to be the easiest to use once you get it dialed in. Being a POD branded product, I had my doubts. After watching reviews and demos of this device I decided to pull the trigger and grab it. I have been consolidating my gear down to something I can easily plug into my speakers and just play. I don't play gigs and don't do much playing with others except a few jam sessions here and there. So having all my gear downsized to one pedal is a plus. The ability to go into global settings and set the amp out to bypass the cabinet automatically is a plus too as I can just plug into the rear power amp input on my Katana MK2 with a 212 cabinet and go from there. This unit is no helix but it gets the job done for what I need. Far superior to the older POD devices from Line 6.
I was pleasantly surprised by the features and versatility of the Pod Go.The range and possibilities for different sounds is amazing. And that is unfortunately where I take a star off for Use/Operation.Because it is rocket science - there are so many possibilities that it will take a few days and a lot of practice to become familiar with and use all the functions properly. The online manual is of some help here. All in all though, a great product that allows non-cumbersome setting and fine tuning of and switching between sounds and is ideal for use at home or live performances. I would definitely recommend this product for other interested guitarists looking for just that perfect sound.
I can't explain how awesome the POD Go is. Line 6 has gone a long way as being recognized as one of the pioneers of affordable modeling technology. I initially wanted a Helix for recording music and upgrading my current equipment as I am a longtime user of a BOSS ME-80. Once I heard of the POD Go, I did my research. Although it lacks processing power of the Helix (meaning you have a limit to how many effects and add-ons you could have in one preset), my use for it wouldn't require much anyway. The POD Go does mostly all what the Helix does minus what was mentioned earlier. If you are new to modeling, are curious about it, or you are looking for recording hardware, the POD Go is definitely a solid, affordable option.
Really can't fault this product. Even though this is the entry level when compared to the Helix, this is versatile and the tones stand up as professional sounding.I bought to come away from software based guitar effects, so I would have more portability with my playing. My worry was after being spoiled at the choice I previously had, that I wouldn't be happy with the list of effects on this. After a few weeks, I still haven't tried every effect out properly.I would recommend to any guitarist. Also loving not getting tangled in guitar cables. I won't go back to having cables coming out of my guitar again!
The "half-size Helix" is everything you want it to be and more!I found i could dial in amazing sounds very quickly (although I'm used to that having used other digital platforms for years eg Bias FX - positive grid). There are also amazing free & paid for Presets and IR's including the infamous Michael Britt (famous for his Kemper & Helix profiles). This is perfect for home & live & ironically it didn't fair so well in the Andertons Digital shoot-out, but I went for it as it met my needs better than the other products (e.g. headrush not the setup I wanted for live playing) & I knew it had amazing IRs, Presets etc as well as an amazingly flexible and visual (on-board & on-computer) interface yet with capabilities of great depth! This is very much an affordable, more ... MoreThe "half-size Helix" is everything you want it to be and more!I found i could dial in amazing sounds very quickly (although I'm used to that having used other digital platforms for years eg Bias FX - positive grid). This is very much an affordable, more compact version of the Helix floor with everything I (& I'd say 90% of guitarists) will ever need!
This thing is very cool. But... it is not easy to use out of the box. I got it and hooked it up and was confused. I watched some you tube videos on it and everybody was like "it's so easy and a simple platform". I beg to differ. Maybe I'm just getting old and looking back at the good old days of just using a few pedals, but unless you are experienced in digital processors, this one might not be right for you. Again, it is a great processor. The possibilities with sounds are pretty much infinite. But just be aware you'll be pushing lots of buttons and turning the knobs A LOT! I would buy it again. And I do recommend it for folks recording at home or just couch riffing. I can also see it being a great piece for studio recording. I can also see it being used in a live setting if you really figure out how to create pre sets to switch back and forth from swiftly. But there is a learning curve. Buy it, be patient on that learning curve process and you should really like it.
