Been playing about a year, so my review is from the perspective of a complete newbie. The things I like-Lots of presets, mobile app functions, computer interface, and loads of user created effects available.Nice and loud, but no real basis of comparison to say if clarity is better or worse than other comparable amps.Don't likes-The micro-usb interface. I had to get an adapter and it's just not as good a connection as nearly anything else would be. IMHO, micro-usb is far too flimsy.Connecting to PC is far more problematic than just using the spider mobile app. It's probably a little more complicated than it should be for a beginner, but it's feature rich for the money.

A fine practice amp. Lots of effects. Good tone. Included tuner. Needs a factory cover, but Line 6 doesn't make one. I haven't hooked it up to my laptop, but that's an option the Fender doesn't have.

While the amp isn't one for filling a large space or venue, it's perfect for practice at home. It has a solid build quality although the jack socket can come loose and fall back within the amp if too much force is applied when plugging in a guitar lead. This is easily fixed by opening the amp up from the back after unscrewing the backplate. The effects are brilliant however and the amp is very good value for money from a good brand of guitar amps.

Face it, at 20w power, this is a practice amp. But, don't let size deceive you, this little amp can get loud! This amp replaced an amp I had that was at least 15 years old, so the new one has a lot of effects built into it that was not available 15 years ago. I like that. I have not used the program that comes with it(I read people were having issues with that, and I got this amp for practice). Even though I'm not hooked up to the internet the pre sets offer enough variety of effects to keep me happy(sample settings: Clean, Chunky, Insane, Ambient, Vibe, Bass, and Acoustic). Now, you may be wondering, all this good stuff you're pointing out, how come only 3 stars? There is a harshness to the sound I just don't like. I can Tone it out with the amp or my guitar, but ... I can Tone it out with the amp or my guitar, but then it sounds dead. I have had this amp for 4-5 months and I can't find that sweet spot that would earn this amp another star, or two. I do recommend this amp for practice but I wouldn't take it "as is" to a small gig(maybe there's a pedal that would help?) because of the harshness.
Absolutely hands down cannot beat the value for the price. Bought this for my son to start playing with his own equipment. Absolutely loved it. Tried all other amps in price range and he fell in love with this one. I personally have a line 6 spider v 240 and this little thing is still awesome. If you're new to playing or just need a small practice amp you can't go wrong here.
Its a good practice or beginner amp. BUT what sucks is that you cant use a Line6 floor switch like the older models. And the "app" you use as a controller is the worst. It hasnt been updated and both Android and Apple OS have constant issues with it.
Amazingly good sound, compact, lightweight. But a number of times in pressing the SAVE button things locked up and I couldn't make any more changes or change presets until I powered the amp off and back on. Performing a a factory reset didn't help. Rturned to MF for replacement. Made in China.
All good, arrived on time, good price, much cheaper than Amazon. Interesting.Took me a bit of time to get used to which settings work best with which guitars. I am now getting pretty good blues and jazz tones out of it. It is quite sensitive to the drive and volume setting combinations. It is much easier to move about than my big Marshall.I have not yet mastered the effects. That will have to wait till I have a bit of time to look at properly. Great little amp very versatile. Only limited by speaker size. You can't have compact and light as well.
I live in an apartment where I cannot play super loud at any time I'd like. This amp doesn't lose sound quality when the volume is lowered. I love the headphones jack, I can just play in and play without bothering anyone if I so choose. The multiple preset knob is fantastic for quick easy playing.Negatives include: Complicated programs needed to download in order to use the amp to its full potential. It says "looper" effect, but it doesnt specify that you need an amp and phone in order to do that. If your phone or cable doesn't support Micro USB, you can't use that function. My specific phone is USB C style on both sides, so I cannot hook me phone up to this device without having to purchase an adaptor for my phones cord, all just so I can use a looper effect and ... Also the recording program that comes with this amp, seems like a nice program for recording and editing my music, but it didn't come with any form of tutorial in the program, (*That I can find) so I have yet to figure out how to connect it to the amp and actually record.,
Ive owned this amp for a year and a half, and Ive tested many tones on the amp. I find that most tones (if properly set up) sound great for it being such a cheap amp. I love the clean sounds on this thing. Plus having many effects at your disposal, as a beginner, is awesome. I would say my only two complaints would be that the high gain sounds dont offer a lot of punch, and just sound computer generated. Also, using the line 6 app can be difficult at first. Those two thing definitely dont take away from the fact that this is an amazing beginner amp, and even a nice backup for experienced players.
