Beautiful wool. I’ve made so many beanies and everyone is so impressed that it’s not itchy. Beautiful colours HOWEVER please be aware that all the green colours look nothing like the pictures above. Spotlight really needs to change this as it actually feels like you’ve been sent the wrong product however the names match up. I’ve found the other colours to be quite accurate though just maybe buy the green ones in-store.

I was very excited to get this yarn because I have a blanket that I want to knit. But the colors shown on site and app are vastly different from actual colors of the yarn. Magic Hour shows a very beautiful blue in pictures on app but the actual color of the yarn is more of a grayish brown. And the selection of yarns and colors at Joann’s is sadly lacking. It seems as if their yarn section is continually shrinking. Which is sad and frustrating. And I would really be happy to see chunky weight 5 and larger yarns in value skeins like other smaller yarns.

Ball of wool I was one bowl of wool short and couldn’t find it anywhere. Was able to order it online and while it came in a timely manner. I was a bit annoyed at how expensive the postage was given that it was one ball of wool and it was wrapped up in a spotlight plastic bag with some tape around it. No special express bag or anything like that so can’t quite work out. We’re all expense was it didn’t weigh very much that’s for sure and it was just stuffed in my letterbox so it wasn’t big.

I recently started a project using Hue & Me bulky yarn . Unfortunately I couldn’t get hold of one colour, “Salt “ The lovely, helpful staff at Joondalup WA found me the only supply in the state. It was at the Innaloo store. There was 40% off , marvellous!! . I dashed over. Unfortunately it was still in the stock room. I rang almost every day to see if the stock had arrived on the sales floor. But sadly, it stayed in the stock room for the whole of the sale period. Very frustrating!
I purchased SO many skeins of this yarn for my Fall crocheting queue. So far, I have used some for home decor pieces (stacked pumpkins), but will also use it for garments - several sweaters. This yarn has a wonderful squish and is not too scratchy for containing wool. I love the color palette and can’t wait to incorporate the items into my home and wardrobe. However, the yarn is very inconsistently spun even within the same skein. Some sections are almost individual strings and are frustrating to crochet properly without snagging. I hope this inconsistency is not widespread as I begin other projects.
The colour I wanted was a pre-order, so it took a little longer to get to me (due to holiday season). But so worth the wait. The colour Peacoat is even better than on screen. Just what I wanted. The yarn is knitting beautifully. I'm making a bulky cosy cardigan and can't wait to finish it for winter and snuggle up in it. Feels very soft and not irritating to my sensitive skin. Great value too.
I bought six skeins of the color Ozone. On the website, it looks like a pretty sky blue color, but in reality it's just plain gray. It's so off compared to the pictures that I assumed they sent me the wrong yarn. The pictures are horribly misleading. Now I have to go through the hassle of returning it and I'm afraid to order something else from this brand because I can't trust any of the pictures.
This is a chunky #5 yarn. I like it because you get the thickness minus the heaviness of other yarns. There are many colors to choose from. They are slightly muted with all colors blending together beautifully. I have made many cardigans, blankets, and hats using this yarn. One of the best things is that it is not too expensive. You can usually find it on sale at many of the popular place to purchase yarn, plus on the Lion Brand website.
I ordered on line as there was t enough on the stands at the time. Was there in 2 hours for collection. Service was great. And I was rewarded with a $5 voucher for using the order and collect service.I have since completed my project and am very happy with the yarn chosen, with the Hue & Me in Saffron a nice addition to my sofa on the cooler nights in front of the TVI made a cabled throw and it looks amazing in this thick yarn.
I actually really like the texture and thickness of this yarn. I'm using it for a baby blanket and it's coming out so beautifully. But I was very disappointed by the color. I ordered Fatigues online, and it was a grayish beige with a hint of green, not at all like the deep forest green shown online. I exchanged it with Artichoke, which is lighter than I wanted at first, but it's much warmer and not nearly as bright as it's shown online.
