A cotton/acrylic mix, good weight, muted colors. All pretty good attributes. The acrylic prevents the cotton from being too stiff or dry on the hands. The 4 weight makes it easy to work with, and work quickly. The muted colors are appealing, but I'd prefer bolder colors and a wider color range.

I've loved using this brand of yarn for a while now, and was so excited to see a few new colors added to the collection. However, I just received a few skeins of the new colors, and the quality seems subpar to the original colors. The packaging says it's the same weight and length, but the new colors feel a lot thinner than the originals. Not sure if this is a quality control issue, or if the new colors are not made to be of the same weight and thickness as the originals. This would make it annoying to use new colors with old ones in a single design.

I love this Made With Love yarn, especially in the Indigo color. I just started learning to crochet and was having a problem seeing my stitches and the yarn I was using was splitting. This was perfect! I didn’t have either problem with this yarn and the color was gorgeous! I got a few other colors too and am looking forward to using them.

I am drawn to this yarn!! Lion Brand’s Made With Love yarn by Tom Daley is a great product, fun, whimsical, retro, soft, easy to crochet however, one manufacturer’s knot is too many - I’ve yet to get through a skein having less than two (2) manufacturer’s knots with the majority having three (3). Three (3) manufacturer knots in one skein (184 yrds/169 meters) is absurd . One skein I purchased had two (2) knots within TEN (10) inches of each other!!I am a seller of handmade clothing and accessories. I went all-in and purchased at least six (6) of each available color at the time (Lion Brand has recently released several additional colors) so I invested in a minimum of 72 skeins and each of them had manufacturer’s knots - do better please.
Charming cotton blend with unique texture - after researching cotton blends for an affordable option to crochet summer into autumn open-weave tops and shrugs - Tim Daley’s Made With Love yarn was everything i wanted and worked up lovely!! i am also enamored with his color palette - gives me a warm fuzzy feeling. my only disappointments to speak of are the knots throughout the skeins (one actually had 2 knots in the 185yd skein) and not having the complete collection colorways available … though it must be said LionBrand.com doesn’t have all the colors available either.
Love the color and the feel of this yarn, it drapes very nicely after the project. I crochet a tank top and feel and look of the project was perfect for summer. The yarn is easy to work with. I will definitely be using this cotton blend for future projects.
I absolutely love this yarn. I have it in almost every color and I’m so excited for them to hopefully make more colors in the future!! I typically prefer cotton yarn, but sometimes it can feel rather stiff, as I tend to make clothing pieces. This yarn is the perfect cotton blend for my projects :)
Tom Daley Made With Love 🧶 is a fun soft, squishy medium 4 yarn; 60% cotton 40% acrylic; with retro (‘70’s) color vibe which I just love!! I am currently using this for some summer-to-fall tops and shrugs. Made With Love works up into a smooth, almost suede napped finish. My one disappointment is the likelihood of a knot popping up at the most inopportune time … not as if there is a great moment to get a knot in a skein - this is unfortunate.
I bought this online not knowing this yarn, but needing this colour. So pleased I did. It is extra soft and so easy to knit. It pulls out easily (I was trying a new pattern and not understanding the stitch!) Will be investigating other colours for my next project.
I'd probably consider my knowledge on yarn to be beginner level, but I like working with the yarn. It's got a nice texture, and almost looks like a soft rope rather than a spun yarn. I'm using it to make a Regency-era inspired reticule (drawstring purse) and it's perfect for it!
