I purchased Liqui Moly Fuel System Cleaner to clean the fuel system in my carburetted Kawasaki ZX9R 4cyl motorcycle. Water & fuel varnish / gunge from hi-octane 98Ron fuel had caused the bike to stop running. After draining float bowls & manually cleaning the carburettors whilst on the bike (not full strip down) I added required amount of cleaner & fresh 91 Ron fuel. After riding about 100km & using about 1/2 a tank of fuel some of the poor running issues (missing, hesitating, not revving past 4000rpm) had improved. I parked the bike for a week & took for a longer ride. I added required conditioner to next full tank of 91 Ron fuel & went for a Sunday blast through the hills. I went in to SCA looking for a standard injector cleaner and was persuaded by a staffer to get this. Had to say I was a bit cynical that the extra $20 or so would buy me a different result, but after about 200 km of normal and freeway driving I'd have to say I'm impressed. Whatever it's done, my car has better zip when moving off from lights, on hills and really any time I accelerate. It sounds a little smoother and fuel economy seems better too (although that could be imagination). This is on a bog standard 2012 Corolla.I wouldn't do this more than once per 10,000 km (as recommended on the bottle) owing to the expense, but it's definitely going to be part of my routine from now on.

I bought an 06 TJ Jeep Wrangler about 4 years ago. Ever since Ive had it the car has always been sluggish. Ive done many mods to this vehicle including replacing the coil pack rail, spark plugs, fuel pump, placed decent headers on it, put 2 1/2" cat back exhaust, larger throttle body, high performance cat, enlarged the air intake and force feeding the air into the manifold. I am stoked with the results and the more I drive the car the better it seems to run. I cant wait to add another bottle to the tank but I will do it with the next 10 thou service. Off road the low range performs smoother and the car is more responsive (touchy on the throttle) as well and no more pinging or shuddering. Very impressive. I definitely recommend this stuff over any other injector/fuel cleaner. $33 dollars well spent. Do yourself a favour and use this german engineered product. You will be surprised how good it is. Added bonus is that it doesnt hurt any components in your vehicle. Even my Mrs is now happy to drive my Wrangler. Shes says its like the difference between day and night. For even better performance and fuel economy I now run Dino Tabs which ups the octane levels dramatically. I know the TJ's are renouned to be crawlers off road but I now have one that performs well on the road as well. Its not a drag racing machine but for a Wrangler its impressive. Will now run put this in my 06 KJ Cherokee 2.8 CRD and see how that improves the vehicles performance. As we all know modern diesels are a nightmare with their sensors getting fowled up with carbon and the like. Will be interesting to see how it goes with this product. Look out for my next review.
Like all of these products, it works best in older port injected engines. I have used it in my BMW 330i 2005 model and it removed all shudders and hesitancy. Similar results for an old Pathfinder - even more marked improvement. I use it prior to each oil change and notice the difference mainly after about 200km on a full tank. I have used it on a direct injection diesel with no noticeable improvement -so if you have a later direct injection model, this is probably not for you. After first use, please change your oil, as you will notice significant carbon ends up in it.
Used the product in my Turbo Charged track vehicle Honda Civic which had some noticeable carbon build. After approximately 250km of mostly freeway work noticed smoother acceleration and idle. Removed spark plugs and used bore camera to inspect cylinders. Carbon completely gone.
I recently bought an old 1996 Honda Civic that wasn’t looked after as it should. The engine wasn’t sounding that good, fuel was going fast and the exhaust you could hear (popping), among many other dirty engine problems.I did a combo of this product and the CRC Airflow Max. With 100 to 200km after that it was visible the difference. The system got cleaned, the engine got back to a healthy sound/work.I think every car should use it eventually every 10k I would say.
There is no product you can buy on this planet that cleans fuel system, all the way from the tank to the injectors better than this one. I have a second hand 2007 M4 Aqin 50 cc 4 Stroke scooter that has lain idle for about 8 months through the cooler weather. It just refused to start. It was obvious no fuel was getting to the business end, so I used a compressor to blow out any physical blockages. It finally started, but would not deliver any power. Into the 5l tank I poured about 150ml of this stuff and left it idleing for about 40 minutes. I then toook it around the block. The first km or so it coughed and stalled and spluttered as usual and then all of a sudden - vroom ! I am actually getting another 10kph faster than before. I'm now going to run it through my old MGs to see what happens.,,
