The bottle lists MB approval number 235.0, not 235.61, meaning that it is approved in general but not specifically for passenger vehicles. The three kinds that do appear under the 235.61 specification for hypoid gear oils are both expensive and difficult to obtain; so for me this will have to do. The bottle has a wider mouth than most domestic gear oils (e.g., Valvoline) and therefore may not fit your pump dispenser, but the Liqui Moly does come with an extendable straw that is somewhat useable.

Used this on my '06 C230 W203. You're going to want to grease those elbows because this oil is T-H-I-C-K. Takes a little effort to pump that nozzle to get it going and keep it going. Had a little difficulty getting the suction started as well. The bottle also had its own sucking mechanism inside so I had to pry that out in order to fit the pump into the bottle. As always, great stuff FCPEuro, you guys rock!

From what I understand, this is a high quality hypoid oil, and the price was just right.
Used this Liqui Moly gear oil in my VR commodore diff which has a slight whine between 60-75 kmh,whine still there but significantly reduce using this gear oil over other spec brands,happy with the result and ease of application with the inbuilt filler tube.
The pumps worthless. You will need a good tool to pump the fluid into the diff. This is not the right tool. If you don't want fluid leaking all over your garage floor. You are better taking it to indy shop to flush and fill it for you.
Happy to take out the old rear differential fluid and put in this premium fluid. They are great with Liqui Moly engine oil so it was a no brainer to use there product of diff fluid in my SL550. Great price and high quality product A++++
Used on my 2006 C350 Sport. Easy job and the car feels a bit livelier with fresh gear oil out back. Make sure to crack open the fill plug first so you aren't stranded if only the drain plug budges and so that the fluid doesn't glug on the way out. Doesn't smell as bad as the original stuff, haha.
I run this in a 1993 Volvo 240 differential. (Dana 30). The gear oil meets stringent specifications: MIL-L 2105 D, MB 235.0, ZF and of course API GL-5. I’m confident running this for 20,000 miles, the Volvo spec change interval.The telescopic pouring tube is a plus. Makes filling the diff easy and mess free.
The pump works great. It screws on to the top of the bottle securely. I put it in a Ziploc bag after I was doneto keep out dust and dirt. Tip - the tube moves around a bit as you work the pump, so there is a chance itmight pop out of the fill hole as you pump. Use your free hand to hold the tube in the fill hole. (The ideahere is to get the gear oil inside the diff - not all over the garage floor )The kit contains more gear oil than my car actually needed. I'll use the extra on a different car.
