Liquitex Basics Ultramarine Blue - I use alot of ultramarine blue, as I paint with a limited palette. And I love the Liquitex line of paints. You get alot of quality for the money. Even though the Basics is considered a student quality paint, it still has the same archival ratings as the same color in the professional versions. I U. Blue in the heavy body & the soft body as well. The Basics tend to be a little softer & sometimes a little more translucent than the soft body paints, so each has its best uses. #sweepstakes

Never received this tube of paint. I ordered it. They sent it to a store miles away which I planned on picking up. Then I received a text THANK YOU GOR YOUR PICK UP! I called the store numerous times and they never picked up the phone. Both stores. My store and the Southington store. So I wasn’t going to make a big deal of it for a tube of paint, and I needed that color, so I was in another art store and lo and behold, there it was. Buy one get one!! Bought 6.

I read about these tube crimpers a couple decades ago because they were mentioned in women's fashion magazines. The idea was to use them on tubes of cream in order to squeeze out every last bit in order to get your money's worth. Kept this in mind over the years but never bought one. Recently while looking at my tubes of paint and frustrated about the little amounts that cling to the inside edges and won't manually budge I remembered these tube crimpers. All I can say after using one is WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG?! These things are great (!) for getting every little last bit of paint out of tubes both plastic and metal. This crimper works just as well for tubes of face cream and facial scrubs! I bought the big set of all of the colors in the Liquitex Basics line to use for watercolor painting. Since acrylics don't re-dissolve with multiple layers of wash being added like regular watercolors do, I thought I'd give them a try. I was pleased with my first little painting, and I love the vast range of colors I had to choose from to work with. Even though the tubes are fairly small, it really stretches out the amount when they're used as watercolors. I like them and would definitely buy them again.
This has a deep context to the color without looking cheap and the final finish project dries nice And also drives nice with layers of paint as well. The viscosity is just right not too thick and not too thin. I’ve always been a fan of Liquitex And continue to be when other products in the market have altered the quality due to tough times in the last four years I can honestly say that this brand does not dilute in any form.
I recently purchased the Liquitex Basics Acrylic Paint in Iridescent Graphite and I am so pleased with the results. The paint is highly pigmented and has a great shimmering finish that really stands out. It is also easy to mix with other paints to create unique effects. The paint is also very durable and provides great coverage. I highly recommend this paint for anyone looking for a reliable and durable acrylic paint.
Liquitex Basics is one of my favorite "go-to" acrylic paints. I use many other expensive brands like Nova, Golden, etc, but have an ample supply of colors in the basics. My experience has been that the amount of pigment in these acrylics is VERY good!! You don't have to go broke buying paints! Buy these. :)
I bought this paint with several other colors when I anticipated needing larger quantities of certain colors for a big project than what I already had in the Artist's Loft bundle of acrylics I bought. I was extremely impressed with the richness of color and the body of the paint. It is thick and provides even coverage, and it mixes well with other colors and brands. I have been very impressed with all of the Liqitex paints I have bought so far, and I find them to be an impeccable value, all the more when they are on a sale promotion. I recommend this paint for its rich color, even, full-bodied texture, and its great price.
