Disappointed
This is not a Blick issue. Great company!I saw the Liquitex ad on Facebook, many of them. Definitely thought this would be a great fit for me. This paint is thinner than the fb ads leads it on to be, which wasn't a huge issue. But it dries MUCH faster than any other acrylic I've ever used, which makes is extremely difficult to use. I tried to put a slow drying medium with it, but it's already so thin to begin with that it just makes it runny. When you pay a high price for paint that dries before you can use it properly, it's not worth it. When I originally bought it I saw the price was steep, & that was okay with me if it turned out to be as amazing as it looked in the Liquitex soft body video ads, but it didn't.As for the only pro, the pigment is AMAZING!!! ... Really incredible pigment!Maybe use it as a base background color on your canvas before starting a painting?... Show more

Excellent paint-great color saturation
A class required these soft body acrylics. I usually use heavy body acrylics and wasn't sure what to expect. The colors are as rich as heavy bodied, and go just as far. They may become my new go to medium as they offer a smooth finish that mimics fine oil paint. Well done, Liquitex, and a good assortment of colors to use for mixing.... Show more

Great for layering
This blue is stunning. Very dark, but I like mixing it with a bit of matte medium and a bit of water to make lovely washes/glazes. The only reason I've given it four stars is that it is uncharacteristically tacky when it dries, even when not used with mediums. Not sure if it is just a quirk of the pigment or a fluke bottle.#sweepstakes... Show more

Great Product for Line Art
All of these paints are wonderful. There is a lot of pigment in them andvery little binder. They are smooth and the colors are bright and dense.I have used these particular paints since the 1990s and have foundthem to be very helpful given my linear style.... Show more

It's good, not great
This particular color seems more translucent than the others. Uncertain why. Using these as part of a workshop I am participating and so far really like those that come with a optional sized spout which this color did NOT have.. Some of the bottles have this and some do not. You can cut the nozzle to a big or smaller opening per the stair-stepped nozzle. It's a nice soft body product if you didn't want to have watered-down heavy body acrylics. Liquitex in general does a really good job making a quality acrylics. Like I wrote, for whatever reason this one is a bit thin.... Show more

Liquitex Soft Body Paint
Liquitex Professional soft body paint is an excellent choice for a smooth brush application and when mixed with Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic, I can adjust the degree of texture I want on the surface of my canvas. The design of the container is genius bc the top pops off with a gentle tug and a small funnel-like applicator allows me to squeeze a tiny or large amount of smooth flowing paint onto my pallet. The size of the bottle is easy to handle and the quality of Liquitex professional paint is the finest I have ever used. I have used Liquitex throughout my career as a professional artist and teacher. It is the best choice for me and offers artists a great deal of versatility in creating their work.... Show more

Liquitex soft body paints are reliable and easy to use.
I'm a fan of the Liquitex Soft Body paints. Liquitex, an old and trustworthy paint company, has authentic color formulas. The colorsare reliable and consistent. The pigments are dense, even when a medium is added, the pigments give full coverage. The artist acrylics are professional level paint. I prefer the soft body paints. They flow on and mix easily. I paint on wood and canvas and the soft body paints just flow on with creamy thick coverage. I have never had the paint peel or separate. I rely on Liquitex.... Show more

New favorite blue
I've typically avoided paints in the cobalt family due to toxicity issues, but since the cerulean doesn't have the same toxicity levels I decided to try it. It is my new favorite color and I intend to keep it in my palette. I am careful to keep it off my skin--it can be toxic in that regard, but otherwise it has proved a wonderful addition to my collection.#sweepstakes... Show more

This is a repurchase for me. I started painting ju
This is a repurchase for me. I started painting just recently (in December). I knew nothing about painting or the supplies I would need. I started with some cheap paints I got in a set at Walmart. I watched videos and I didn't know why my paints were not performing like theirs. So I started experiencing with paint types. Liquitex basics (these are ok just thick and dry fast). I tried fluids (to watered down), I tried these soft body paints and loved them. They are thinner but pigmented (unless you get transparent colors). I do add a little bit of retarder to my paints to give myself more work time before they dry. I will continually repurchase these paints and increase my color selection.... Show more

Top Tier Heavy Acrylic Paint
I was recommended this paint brand (Golden) by a peer; I have never been so immediately impressed. If you enjoy a thicker, opaque, slower-drying acrylic paint, look no further, regardless of the higher price. Worth every penny.... Show more
