This is a great mouthwash if you need to care for your gums. I don't have gum disease or gingivitis that I am aware of but I do have issues with wisdom tooth that has only slightly grown out and my dentist has advised me to use a mouthwash that will help with gum disease. I felt this did help keep my mouth and gums clean and protected. It helped my mouth feel really fresh too. I recently bought a water flosser as well that did irritate my gums and made them bleed slightly when first using it, I used this mouthwash and it seemed to help them heal really quickly and also didn't sting at all. I like that the bottle is 50% recycled plastic and can also be recycled but higher percentage than that would be preferable! I received my parcel from Amazon with my free test. I used mouthwash now and again and normally enjoy the freshness. The bottle was like all other Listerine bottles. This liquid and bottle were a grey colour (maybe the liquid was clear, taking on the overall colour of the bottle).I used the required amount on my first use. It nearly blew my head off. I rinsed my mouth, but the burning sensation remained. Yes my mouth felt fresh and clean...i think that was at the expense of a layer of skin.I tried again later that day with a much smaller amount. Better, but still strong.I love the freshness, but i think in future i would opt for a alcohol free version - for me this was just too strong. I did feel, however, that it was killing all the nasty germs in my mouth.

They bleed regularly when brushing and I have previously used similar mouthwashes in the past to try reduce this effect, however they are not very pleasant to the taste.This Listerine definitely tastes better compared to other brands, however it still leaves my mouth quite dry after using it for a few days. I like the fact that this product targets the gums as I have had gingivitis recently and this does help in my recovery. Packaging is similar to the other Listerine mouthwash flavours, with the secure cap which I appreciate. My only complaint is that the taste is quite funky. Its not like a refreshing minty taste and it's hard to describe. But the taste doesn't linger too long. I would purchase this in the future if Listerine improves the taste or if I have gingivitis again, but I'm not too keen on it for everyday use purely because of the taste. I much prefer their other flavours that gives a more refreshing mouth-feel
I was extremely happy with the results of using Listerine Advanced Defence Gum Treatment Mouthwash which I used twice a day inbetween my normal toothbrush routine. I occasionally find my gums bleed and this mouthwash left my mouth feeling fresh and minty. On first using the mouthwash it feels quite stimulating on your cheeks and tongue, but it definitely leaves your whole mouth feeling invigorated and fresh. Infact, it feels as good as when you get your teeth cleaned at the dentists. It is at a reasonable price, the bottle is easy to use and the instructions are clear. I will be using it again and I will be recommending it to friends and family.
The product is a clear liquid and for a mouthwash I was not used to this, but actually it most probably means no colouring which is a positive.The taste is not overpowering like some mouth washes and the taste is quite nice.I used twice daily and my mouth felt fresh and clean. My teeth had a lovely smooth feel to them when I ran my tongue over them. My breath was fresh and gave me confidence during the day.The product is very easy to use and having the added benefit of being proven to treat gingivitis is a must for me.I will certainly continue to use this product and would highly recommend it to others.
I was shocked at the strength of this mouthwash, wow!, it has a bite. I found it difficult to use the stated volume as the sensation given in my mouth was too much for me if I did. Reducing the amount made it a little more usable . Having said that, I have only been using it for a short time I have noticed the difference in my mouths feel, around the teeth, gums and generally and in the freshness of my breath. I can say only that it appears to be doing something but it is unlikely that I would continue t use the product as I find the after taste and bite to much for me. This discomfort puts me off using it long term. This is my opinion, I have balance effectiveness against the discomfort and the discomfort has won. Try it for yourself and see you may not feel as I do.
I get gingivitis fairly frequently in the same spot on my gums and have often had to use expensive products that I never fully use as they only cure the problem. This Listerine is not only great value, but it seems to prevent the issue coming back so I hope with regular use this will become a past problem for me. I had only been using this a few days and the soreness and redness in my gums was no longer there. I have to say this isn't the most pleasant tasting mouthwash, but it is not unpleasant either and most importantly my breath is noticeably fresher afterwards. I don't know if I would need to use this long term but I will be using it for the medium term to ensure that my gums stay healthy.
I used Listerine in the past but hadn't used it for some years (many years even). As soon as I used it again, that distinctive dental Listerine flavour and feel were still there behind the mint. Nice to know they've been true to their instincts and have stuck to their guns.The Listerine Advanced Defence Gum Treatment mouthwash is minty but I do quite like the way it feels as if it wouldn't be out of place in a dental clinic. By that I mean, it has a cleansing, stripping, slightly burning and even numbing effect in the mouth, and you feel like it's doing some good. I've used it twice a day for several days now and my mouth feels really clean and my breath fresh.I can recommend this mouthwash, having enjoyed using it.
I’ve tested this product and compared against a cheap supermarket brand and in all honesty, the difference is like night and day.Although previously, I had a minty taste with my mouthwash, that was it. When testing this Listerine mouthwash for the first time, I was hit by not only the taste but a “zing” in my mouth, it actually felt like the mouthwash was doing something. After using, I was left with a really fresh feeling that lasted for a really long time.I’ve used a specific gingivitis wash previously too, which didn’t taste anywhere as nice as the Listerine product either.I’ve seen no flare up with my gums, it tastes great and lasts. I would absolutely recommend and will purchase again.
