This is a good size farm for toddlers and younger children, with nice bright colours and it is quite robust. It comes with some nice chunky farm animals which are easy for little hands to hold. The farm is hinged so can be opened out in play and closed afterwards. It has a grain silo with moving pieces and a hayloft slide the figures can go down, so is quite dynamic and encourages imaginative play. It has a light and sounds, which our youngest loved but they stopped working after a couple of months. Having checked the batteries and any parts I could access, I couldn't get it to work. The retailer I ordered from were out of stock so I couldn't get a replacement and everywhere else was much more expensive for it. I reached out to Mattel and they responded quickly but ... As I didn't feel I should have to pay extra to another retailer for the same item when we had had a faulty one we just kept it although the little one wasn't as interested without all the features. We kept trying to get the light and sounds to work again and eventually, several months later they suddenly started working again! Happy wee one again - for now, at least.

Fisher Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm Playset is a great imaginative interactive toy. I really under estimated how much enjoyment our son would get from it. It’s lovely to see how our two year old is developing whilst he’s plays with it. He’s started to repeat the phases, making the animals sounds and he is very happy just play with it on his own. We have since bought him other animals and a tractor to expand his play with it, plus to increase his ability in sharing his toys with others. It has three levels of sound interaction which you can adjust with a switch on the underneath. It comes with four animals (horse, cow, pig and chicken), a farmer and two plastic feed pieces. It’s recommended for toddlers and preschool kids ages 1 to 5 years. The toy ... MoreFisher Price Little People Caring for Animals Farm Playset is a great imaginative interactive toy. As with most Fisher Prices it’s well made and quite sturdy, we are happy with our purchase.

I was going to get this for my grandson for Christmas and when I went to WM to purchase it all three they had on the shelf were defective, On all three the blue button that opens the gates and make the animal sounds was broke. Two of them the button wouldn't push down so it did nothing (gates didn't open or play sound) and on the other one after you pushed the button it made an animal sound and opened the gate but kept making a loud static/hissing sound after the animal sound played till you turned it off turn!!! Turn it back on and it didn't make that sound till you pushed the blue button down. I then did an internet search for other reviews of this farm set and found more than I wanted of people having issues with the blue button. I ended up getting the ... We got this this 3 weeks ago for my daughters their birthday. Within a week the middle button that makes the most noise and flips open two barn doors is stuck down. I reached out to customer services almost 2 weeks ago and have not received a response. My girls love all of their Little People toys and were really enjoying this toy until it broke. Now they hardly touch it. I would really appreciate if customer service could reach out to assist. I'm giving average review for fun and holding child's interest because my girls were having so much fun with this up until it broke.
I purchased this for my child’s birthday and within the first 5 minutes of getting it out, the front button (that controls the front gates and plays sound) got stuck down. This means that the gates are stuck open and there is no sound made from that button. I packaged it back up and took it to the store for a replacement. After getting the second farm home and playing with it for just 30 minutes, the button got stuck again. That makes two toys that both had the same issue and makes the toy not work. I have a request out to Fisher Price for a solution, but at this time I would not recommend.
Wish I would have read these reviews before purchasing this toddler farm. Everything said in the one star reviews is right on point. The defective red button gets stuck within 15 minutes of playing with it. That renders the barn doors useless and the button can no longer be depressed to make sounds. Only the chute generates interactive sounds now. Bought this for my one year old granddaughter who relishes in being able to press buttons and get reactions. Thanks for disappointing her and me, Fisher Price. Add to that the barely functional corn silo and "hatching" eggs and, well, you have lost the wow factor you may have one had with your products. Poor quality. The problem is, she had enjoyed it for 15 minutes. So I ended up ordering a replacement and am returning ... Poor quality. The problem is, she had enjoyed it for 15 minutes. So I ended up ordering a replacement and am returning the first one. However, it sounds like every one of these farms will suffer the same defect; all except the free ones that went out to your paid reviewers. Those seem to magically work just fine. I'll add another review once the second one arrives and is unboxed.
This is a great toy in design. My 1-year-old son loved putting the figures down the chute and listening to the fun sounds. For a couple weeks. Then the button got stuck. I was able to finagle it a couple times, but it appears to now be stuck for good, rendering it useless. We bought this toy early for my son’s birthday and didn’t open it right away, so I’ve missed the return window. Disappointed in the longevity of this really fun toy which only lasted a couple weeks fully functioning.
Deducting a star for overall durability compared to price. It was broken when I got it out of the box. I paid $40 for it....It is displayed with the stalls open. Be forewarned, the button on mine to hold and release the stall doors was broken upon opening the box. Deducting a star for having to fix the button right out of the box. Which involved me unscrewing all the screws on the bottom and reassembling the button mechanism to function. Finally 3rd star deducted for my daughter only playing for 30 min and button has already malfunctioned again. My 2 yr will still play with it...but for $25 I could have bought the cheaper one and saved my money. I will probably buy some proper springs to try and salvage the item. Pen springs would probably be more durable than the ... MoreDeducting a star for overall durability compared to price. It was broken when I got it out of the box. I bought this for my one year old granddaughter, she spends more time with this toy than with her many other toys. This toy has many parts for keeping children happy including the opening and closing of doors and windows, the many farm animals included. This toy provides very happy playtime with interaction with the farm animals, has encouraged my granddaughter to learn the names of the animals and and being able to pronounce their names improving her vocabulary skills. Overall a very well made , sturdy toy that keeps my granddaughter entertained for ages. Definitely recommend this toy!
Cute toy but there are some weird design aspects to it. Also, the main red button on ours broke less than 1 month of receiving it. It’s stuck down. What a bummer. The corn thing on ours doesn’t move the kernels up and down, just around a little bit so that’s not interesting. The cow and horse are too big for the stalls and it looks like their heads should poke up over the stall doors but they don’t. And then if you put the corn or carrot things (which are weird??) in the slats on the stall doors, you definitely can’t close the stall doors with the animals in them.Overall I’m pretty disappointed in this toy. I loved the retro version from my childhood and wish we would have gotten the new version of that.
