I bought this play set for my son when he turned 1. The idea is good because you have bowling, basketball and soccer in one. It has music and a screen that keeps score when playing. The problem is that it’s very small. It was too short for my one year old. He played with it a couple of times and that’s it. It falls easily and ended up breaking. It’s not worth the money at all.

Cute idea, poor finish.

My son can stand and will once in awhile actually dunk the basket. That’s the extent of what you can ask for his age. We haven’t mastered rolling although he knows throwing, So he will push the pins down with his own hands. The buttons to push them back into place are also difficult for a toddler since it requires some effort.

Disappointing!

This looks great on the box, but was very disappointing. It is extremely small, and our 20 month old daughter towered over it, making the basketball hoop redundant. Due to the small size, the soccer net is actually difficult to kick the ball in to. The bowling pins seemed to 'stick' in pairs or twos rather than coming up or down individually. The buttons are also quite stiff and hard for the kids to push down. It looks very plasticy, and the noises and voice became irritating very quickly. I would say it's more appropriate for 8-18 months. It's a lot of money to spend on something that doesn't quite hit the mark. At $120 it is most definitely overpriced for what you're getting.

Doesn't stay put together

This toy is awful. It's a good idea in theory, but so poorly excecuted. Any force put upon it makes it topple over, which makes no sense since it's sports themed and you obviously put some force on it to play. The basketball hoop constantly pops out of the base, which means the sides fold in, and it just falls over. Super frustrating for my toddler.

Entertaining but not without flaws

My 18 month old was so excited when he saw this, and he has loved pushing all of the buttons and especially loved the lights on the basketball hoop. He definitely doesn't get the sports part of it (I showed him how to throw the basketball through the hoop and throw the bowling ball at the pins, etc) but I'm sure he will as he gets older. There are definitely a few things that need adjusting, which is the reason for the three star rating. The number blocks on the top of the bowling pins are too hard for my son to push and that frustrates him. The unit overall feels very flimsy; it has almost fallen over when he was standing next to it and leaning on it, and he is small for his age. The age range listed for this product is 12-36 months, but my 4 year old loves to play with it too. This is great but since the unit is small, I wouldn't say it's good for multiple users. If one child is standing in front of the basketball hoop, it's hard for another child to throw the bowling ball at the pins or the soccer ball at the net. Also, the sounds are rather annoying, and the only sound settings go from completely off to loud and then really, really loud. I do appreciate that you can fold it up for easier storage. It would be awesome if there was a specific place included on the unit to store the balls. Overall, I think this is a nice toy to introduce young kids to a few different sports, and it does keep my kids pretty entertained.

I received this free for my honest opinion. I'll start with the colors, they are bright and appealing. It is light weight and easy to move. It folds for convenient storage and all 3 balls have a storage space. The bowling center has colored and different shaped buttons that light up. It says several cute phrases as you bowl. The lit buttons then have to be pushed to put the pins back down. It says the color and shape of the buttons as you press them. The basketball game is fun and has several phrases during gameplay. The screen for the basketball lights with different numbers and shapes. It also counts how many baskets you make up to 10. The hoop adjust up a few inches. There are buttons to change what sounds it makes as well, like music or phrases. The only problem ... MoreI received this free for my honest opinion. The only problem I've had with the basketball is that one of the lights on the screen went out within half an hour of play. The soccer game isn't as interactive. It does make some sounds when you score but not a lot. The "net" is like a plastic screen that lifts slightly when you score and that's where the sounds come from. For amount of time and fun, I'll start from oldest to youngest. My 7 year old son loves the bowling, mostly because the ball is shaped like a coconut and he gets to throw it. The coconut ball is hard brown plastic. He played for over an hour the first day and atleast a little while every day for the 10 days we've had it. He's played basketball with his baby brother and not been all that interested in the soccer. My 4 year old daughter likes the bowling and plays for a while every day. She doesn't care for the soccer or the basketball. My 3 year old son likes the bowling and the soccer, but not the basketball. My 17 month old son likes to play with all 3 games but likes the basketball the best. We have the VTech soccer/basketball center, but they prefer the Little Tikes. I would definitely buy this toy. It's fun and entertaining. I prefer this to the VTech as well. I definitely recommend this toy.

I have two children - a 3.5 year old son and 1 year old daughter. They were both very interested in this toy when we first took it out of the box and had lots of fun playing with the different "zones." However, my son lost interest after about 30 minutes and hasn't really played with it since. My daughter loves pushing the buttons that make the music and pushing the button on the basketball hoop to make the numbers count. She doesn't really play with it as intended, however. We did have friends over that have a 1 year old boy that really enjoyed playing with it. The toy is on the short side, even with the basketball hoop fully extended. I wouldn't expect anyone over two to play with this frequently. We contacted Little Tikes and they very quickly responded and sent us a new one (we had to destroy the broken one). Great customer service from Little Tikes!

Little Tikes... Made for LITTLE ones

I was not aware of the Little Tikes 3-in-1 Sports Zone until receiving one through the Viewpoints sampling program right around the time of my son's second birthday. My son and his 5 year old sister really enjoy the soccer ball that came with this, and it has been great for my son to practice kicking the ball into the net, his coordination and spacial awareness has already greatly improved! My two kids have also gotten much better at sharing and taking turns playing with this toy.My biggest problem with this product is that it is rather small and made of flimsy plastic, unlike other Little Tikes products, which tend to be sturdy, weather resistant, and lacking any real assembly when purchased. This was less than what I expected, as far as craftsmanship goes, but I think it would be great for a slightly younger child, as I would have preferred to introduce this particular toy around 12-18 months.I was most impressed by the games featured. I love that the Sports Zone has three modes, as well as the three sports, encouraging following directions, counting, and learning shapes and colors. I am glad that this doesn't continue to make noise very long after my son loses interest, as well, since I am a parent who does not enjoy noise-making toys and games very much.

Not for 2 year olds

I love the idea, but my 26 month old plays basketball with the bigger hoop so this one is not durable for her. If she tries to dunk, the hoop will break & the sound no longer works. Soccer net doesn’t come off when she plays but she’s ready for the bigger goal since she kicks bigger soccer ball. She adores the bowling though so I will be returning this for bowling set instead. I think it’s great for babies who can walk on their own to 18 months though.

No damage, pretty easy to set up (came in 4-5 parts) make sure you have a screwdriver and batteries. But overall, fun toy! My nephew like the sounds, shapes and colors. Theres a volume adjuster in the back of the screen for loudness. Each button worked and had a different game to play. Sound effects for each sport played well.
