Little Tikes TotSports Easy Score Basketball Set

This is a awesome set up. zour daughter had this growing up and now our grand daughter's do too! We just picked one up for a great deal at Christmas from Walmart.com and thry love it. Our neighbor saw it and loved it so much she got one for her daughter as well. Pink was sold out for her so she got the blue. We put them across fronone another and make it a full court and our toddler's have so much fun together. Easy to dribble and catch. Soft enough that there isn't any stress or frustration when passing to one another. I need to call thr company to see if I can get another ball, just so they both can have their own. Inpurchased some white sand to place inside the base to help keep it study.It took 1 minute to assemble and 10 minutes to thread the hoop. I worked with children after school outside. This little hoop was one of their favorites! My favorite thing is that it’s adjustable so it can grow with older kids or even give bit of a challenge to smaller kids. It’s sturdy, survives well in weather conditions, and easy to assemble. I wish the balls had a storage area though. Those things went missing the first week it was in use haha!

Disappointed

It works fine. Rim is bent forward too far. But the colors are wrong. The backboard is gray and the post a dark blue. It is not they same colors as the photo on the box or on models I have seen before. I’m not sure why the colors changed but it should be explained.

Love the hoop—making it safe was a major headache

We bought this hoop for our son's first birthday (a little below the recommended age, but we're a basketball family). Six months later, he still uses it ALL the time. We started at the lowest height setting and now we're on the third. We like it to be a stretch for him to reach the rim but still low enough that he can dunk it without dropping the ball on his face.Overall, we love the hoop and the memories we've built using it, but filling it with the recommended 40lbs of sand was a major headache that took about 2 hours of frustrating manual labor. We also bought a 40lb sandbag from Lowe's. Even though it was a brand new, unopened bag, the sand inside was slightly damp so it didn't have a great flow. We had to carefully scoop about a cup of sand into the funnel, then ram it through the funnel with a metal rod, and then tip the hoop forward and bang it on the ground to move the sand away from the hole so we could fit the next cup. Ultimately, the base was completely full after using 3/4 of the 40lb bag.After all that work, our 18-month-old son is still capable of pulling the hoop down on himself if he tries hard enough. It's almost crashed down on him once or twice already. We keep the hoop inside on cast-in-place concrete floors, so it has a smooth flat surface to rest on—I guess he's just pretty strong. I feel like there has to be a better solution to make the bases of these hoops safe.

Love this toy.

I have bought this in the past but it was years ago. I loved how thw height could be adjusted so it grew with the child. I loved its endursance and that it will last until y our child outgrows it and you pass it on to someone else. to enjoy. I now have a great grandson who is geting this as a birthday present.

Minor issues

I was unaware that this goal only came with one basketball. I have 2 kids and a husband who might as well be a 3rd. 1 ball is obviously not enough, I had to order extra balls separately and now we're playing the waiting game until they arrive. It would have just been nice if somewhere in the description it mentioned number of balls included. Also, just want to note that in the pictures of the product the backboard is white, ours came in gray. Not sure if this is a mistake or knockoff but its working fine, just seems odd.

Must Have Toddler Toy

Bought this for my younger son’s 2nd birthday. This is one of those all american toys every little boy has growing up. My brother had one growing up, my oldest son had one a few years ago, and now my youngest has one. My son loves it. We keep it indoors for him to play with. He enjoys playing with his siblings or sometimes by himself. It will definitely grow with him as it has about 4 different height levels. Right now he prefers to have it at its shortest setting as he likes to touch the basket as he dunks. I looked at getting it used, but honestly, for the price and convenience of having it shipped to me, it was worth just buying new.

Positive

Order came quickly and intact. Price was perfect. The box was open, so I was concerned. But I think the tape just broke. You can’t beat Little Tikes brand for this type of toy. Bought it for my 3 year old’s birthday. Dad snapped it together and she started shooting. Thanks WalMart.

Sturdy and adjustable basketball set for toddlers

This basketball set was really easy to assemble. It's sturdy too. My nephew is an active kid and he enjoys playing with this. He's five years old and set at the highest height, it's perfect for him. He is able to shoot baskets with confidence. It is adjustable (with 4-5 grooves, I think), so it will grow with your toddler. I'm thinking this won't last much longer as he will soon outgrow it but he plays with it almost every day; it was worth the reasonable price. It is advised to fill the base with sand to add weight to the structure. I wish I had known this piece of info, because I didn't have sand when assembling it. If it had been mentioned in the description, I would have ordered a bag of sand with the basketball set.
