Purchased this for Christmas for our 18 month old. My husband put it together. He said directions were good and was pretty simple to do. Took about 10 minutes. Our 3.5 year old plays with it as well. It’s a cute little set. I like that it has the cabinet on the bottom to store future tool toys in. Price was really reasonable as well.

Do not order this unless you have power tools or if you are someone who is stereotypically "handy." I am a single mother with only a basic screwdriver at my disposal and I thought I'd be fine just following the instructions. Well, imagine my horror when I realized that many of the holes meant for the screws don't exist, or exist in the wrong place, making it impossible to assemble without drilling new holes. I had to call a friend over to help me finish the project. When all was said and done, my son did enjoy playing with it for a few minutes. He is only 16 months so his attention span and imagination skills aren't all there yet. I should also note that the saw and vice look different than what is shown in the photo. The saw is not really serrated (it's just a circle with a serrated design on it) and the main part of the vice is only solid red, no grey accent color. This experience has made me skeptical of the Little Tikes brand and I will try to avoid it in the future.

I would love to give this product five stars just because my 2 year old son loves it. unfortunately, the reason I'm only giving 4 stars is the fact that the Little Tikes logo at the bottom wasn't properly secure , so it looks like I bought it used even though it was brand new. And there isn't a way to just pop it in place because the plastic doesn't have a hole where the logo could pop in. the top blue piece that goes above the tac board, didn't have a place for the screws to go through in the back, to keep it in place I just made my own holes (I believe there was an issue at the factory where the holes didn't actually puncture through) . the instructions were easy to understand which is a plus and my son "helped me" put it together. that was a great bonding moment. ... MoreI would love to give this product five stars just because my 2 year old son loves it. unfortunately, the reason I'm only giving 4 stars is the fact that the Little Tikes logo at the bottom wasn't properly secure , so it looks like I bought it used even though it was brand new. I was worried about how short it was but when it got here I was shocked at how much my son could grow into it. I wasn't impressed with the vice just because it doesn't really go in and out the way it's supposed to. also there's a yellow piece that's supposed to guide the piece of wood threw the "saw" but there isn't anyway the yellow piece actually stays on the bench itself so I was a bit disappointed about that. on the flip side though, my 2 year old loves it. And it's a great learning opportunity (like pick up your tools boy, and hang them up), he is fascinated by the doors (that is the main reason I ordered this one versus the competitors), and I love that there is a spot for the fake screws and nails right on top of the bench in the right hand corner. over all I give it 4 stars because of the inconvience of the factory molding messing up, and the somewhat cheap aspects of the bench. I want to give it 5 stars though because my child LOVES it, and plays with it every single day.
So i purchased this not realizing thats its not real wood or wood at all. my kids are like to break all their toys so i thought with how pricey this one was, that it was at least wood and not plastic. something more sturdy. Was very disappointed when we opened the package. The kids had already broken the doors off of it. Its smaller than i thought it was going to be as well.Moral of the story here, make sure you check out an object 100% before purchasing. it is cute though. just not meant for my wild kids.
This Little Tikes Tough Workshop is just what my 2 toddler grandsons needed to occupy their time, while busy "helping "Grandpa in the basement. The realistic detail gives them the opportunity to be like Grandpa. This is a safe, well made toy built to last and provide hours of playtime.
As always, a great kids product. Bought this for our 2.5 year old granddaughter who loves tools and gadgets, and she's loving it! Every item is age level and size appropriate. Easy to put together, too. She has it outside next to her Little Tikes pink princess house. Lol! The only issue we had was it not being up against a wall caused her to push it over every time she tried to put the tools on the hooks. Oops. Absolutely a great toy!
Bought this Toolbench for my Grandson. He loves to imitate his dad with his tools. It was not very user friendly putting together and it could of been a little sturdier. Could of come with more tools but will be keeping it since grandson enjoys playing with it!
If you do not have a power drill, don’t buy. The instructions say that only a screwdriver is required and a drill is recommended but its nearly impossble to screw by hand. There are no screw holes and you must make your own, the angles in which you have to screw is nearly impossible, and the instructions are not clear. If you call Little Tikes they tell you that you must email them and they can take up to 2 days to respond, so no immediate over the phone help. And to top it all off its not even the same color as the picture. It isnt as vibrate and the “wood” color is almost grey. This is my first and last Little Tikes product. I would return it but unfortunately I have it half way built and my son looks excited so I will keep it for him. But I am extremely disappointed
It is tough make sure the lil one doesn’t try to climb all over it the only real souls that a few of the holes were not pre drilled . So you do need a power drill. The size is good . Child can learn twist the screws hang tools and pound the hammer pretty simple 50$ good value
