Good quality, no fuss, no frills food storage container. The 'wings' on the lids make for a tight closure keeping contents secure and fresh. Would not go so far as to claim these containers are air and water tight, but the best I've come accross so far for the price. Purchased for use as lunchboxes in which to freeze leftovers, then transport, defrost and reheat as single portion meals for work - the 1lt rectangular size is perfect for this purpose. Experience has taught me to be wary of writing reviews before the product has stood the true test of time, which this product has not yet done.

Fantastic product. I bought a couple of these containers ?2/3 years ago. They are still going strong. They look & feel identical to the new products. They stack well & look smart & feel substantial. I use them for storing home made biscuits, but bought them specifically for storing cakes that were baked in a 2lb loaf tin as they are a perfect size for these. Cakes & biscuits store well as they are totally airtight in the container. I always wrap the food in tin foil first just to ensure they don't pick up any flavour of plastic, not that I have ever experienced this problem... I found Dunelm were selling the items at the lowest price, & the online service & collection in store was faultless...

Very happy with the Lock & Lock 1.8L (HPL813) rectangular containers. Strong hard-wearing plastic and airtight with the rubber sealing rings in the lids and the four securing clips. Handy size for the kitchen cupboards and shelves. I like to keep my flours in their packaging and was looking for airtight storage containers that will hold each 1.5kg flour bag still in its packaging. These 1.8L HPL813 containers did just that with a tight fit. One of my unopened 1.5kg flour bag was a couple of cms too tall for the container, but I was able to squeeze the other two unopened 1.5kg flour bags (Sainsburys plain flour, and Carrs w/meal flour) into two of the four containers that I'd purchased. Quality product. Good Value for Money. I couldn't find the same anywhere for the same price. Took a little while longer than expected to arrive. But I blame Royal Mail.
I have a number of these boxes used for storage in my fridge and food-cupboard. They are strong and seal tightly, enabling powerfully-flavoured of scented foods to be stored together without flavour-contamination. Their stackability and the variety of sizes also makes use of all the space available right to the edges of my shelves, and even fragile foods get neither squashed nor bruised while cooked and uncooked foods can also be kept safely separated even when in close proximity. Thoroughly recommended.
We use these for any time we need to store food! I'm sure the name has changed but they still do a great job. They are bigger than our old ones - which isn't a problem - but just as good! Great for taking a packed lunch to work or school. They also get used to take food on a fishing trip, the smaller ones are used to take tea, coffee, sugar etc when we go camping. All in all, very useful food boxes!
