Hydraulic Sealant

The Loctite 577 Sealant is one of the best high pressure sealants I have used, it seals both water and oil fittings and it does not form a solid seal which allows easy fitting and removal of the connection. The resealable tube allows for easy application with no mess or wasteage.

Great for gas and water never have a leak again with this I used so many different compounds and had leaks many times since using this I have had no leaks its expensive but worth every penny with knowing I will not have a leak also great for them problem taps that dont seem to stop in the correct position this stuff you put say the tap straight but still loose to move and this sets the tap rock hard in that position so no need to struggle adding loads of say ptfe to try and get it in right position great stuff !!!!!!!

Loctite 577 Thread Sealant - 50ml

saw this item reviewed on a facebook post or you tube video and gave it a try.have used it on radiator tails which have been very neat finish. it really comes into it own when you have the shower outlet threads that need to tighten up in the correct angle as this can be left at hand tight as he seal is left to cure. used on overhead showers heads the same no fuss great results . not cheap but saves loads of time so will use again and have.

Loctite thread-sealant

This is the best thread Sealant i have used,I have used it on parallel and tapered threads up to 35mm. It sets in the thread very quickly for testing. What you muss not do is move the joint once set because it will leak.

Perfect Stainless Steel thread sealer.

I love this product. Stainless on stainless is difficult to seal. Typical Teflon tape has a 50/50 chance of sealing. This product seals 100% every time. Unlike 567, 577 has a built in primer for stainless, no priming needed. Good for potable water after it hardens, we love this product.

Sure Joints

Good for important joints and those where valve orientation is important. As a friend said, if you have a leak after using this, there is really no hope for you doing plumbing !

We use this a lot

We are a fleet maintenance shop and have been using the Loctite 577 for a couple years now when doing hydraulic repairs. Works great for sealing and locking lines and cylinder components and will easily come loose when adding a little heat to soften it. Great product!

Works under pressure!

Pros: Fixed leaking threaded joints in water pipes. We have very high water pressure (even with the main only just cracked open) and the usual method of using tape was just not good enough. Cons: The nozzle on the tube does the job, but it is not a great design.
