I have used this in the past 40 years with total success. I once worked in a garage where it was kept in supply in the parts department. From that experience is where I learned it's effectiveness at keeping bolts and nuts tightened securely with no worry of them becoming loose until it became necessary to remove said nuts and bolts. I loved it's effectiveness back then and I still depend on it today to keep things tight.

This stuff is useful for more than locking bolt threads. This time was to hold the new shift lever on my Honda Fit into a slip-fit collar. It also works as a thread sealant for oil and coolant, not gasoline. If you don't use it for a while, shake the tube before applying, the ingredients can separate in time.

Secures bolts and helps protect against corrosion

This good for securing threaded fasteners when vibration or twisting is a concern. The coated threads help protect the fastener from corrosion. The tube is small. You only need a light coat to make the threads secure. Loctite Threadlocker is VERY fluid, so it's hard to control out of the tube. Waste is a problem if you aren't very careful. The product is good but a bit expensive.

Temporarily Lock it Down
14 June 2024

I bought a cart with pull handle steering that mounted to the art via a welded bolt. For attaching it only had a flat washer and nut (nut type with the locking plastic ring in it). In short order it would loosen and I’d have to get a wrench and tighten it. So I asked a staff member about loctite and he explained that I should get the non-permanent type in case I ever need to take the handle off. The Loctite helps a lot but after quite a few uses it loosens just a little. I’ll be adding a little more loctite as I may not of put on enough. Also a lock washer I bought (a separate survey done) and am confident the combination of the two will keep the steering handle locker down.

Threadlocker easily applied & keeps fixture tight

exactly as expected. used this product industrially for years. Much better than the no-name brand from the competition. Not cheap, yet you do get what you paid for. Latest use was to eliminate hardware loosing within bathroom fixtures. All remained fastened with this product

[Rewarded Review] Good threadlocker!

This is handy for around the house to lock in screws for wobbly door handles, loose bicycle or lawn mower screws, or anywhere where a meta screw meets a metal part. This doesn’t work with plastic parts. It sets in 10 minutes and cures after 24 hours. I don’t know whether it prevents rusting like it claims, as I haven’t used it anywhere where moisture is present. I took one star off because it’s such a small tube. Even though you don’t need much product per screw, it would be nice if the tube were a bit bigger.

I am familiar with most of the Loctite products. I've been a fan for years! This came at the most perfect time for us. After the Arctic freeze last month, our pipes, my daughter's pipes burst. Thank goodness we had this, it doesn't have to be saturated either. No issues with clothing and fingers being glued to whatever you're working on. Believe me I've seen some situations with other thread lockers..we can laugh about them now lol. This is definitely going to be part of our emergency kits. Thank you

Thread locker blue is a very common product in our automotive shop. My husband will not start a rebuild job without knowing he has at least two tubes. It only takes a very small amount to keep those nuts and bolts from backing back out, but can be removed. As a mechanics wife, the worst fit throwing comes when he can’t find his thread locker blue. I have learned to buy extras. This product is amazing and holds up like a champ! Thanks Threadlockerblue!!!

Great stuff. Have been using it for years in critical applications on automobiles, firearms, and other equipment. Purchased to secure the front brake caliper bracket bolts on my Ford Focus ST. Ford used it (or something similar) when the car was originally assembled so I decided it would be a good idea to use it when I recently replaced the brake pads and rotors on the car. Plenty left over for future applications.

[Rewarded Review] Works Great!
25 January 2023

I've been using Loctite for many years for various things. I recently got the Threadlocker Blue 242 because one of the tiny screws on the toilet paper holder in my kids bathroom kept coming loose no matter what I did. It hasn't come loose since using the Loctite! And since I was at it, I tried in on the hand towel holder on the wall. I didn't think this would work since it's holding a towel and gets lots of use, but it's held up so well and hasn't come loose again! I like that the tube itself is small enough to handle for small projects like this. I also like that it's blue and super easy to see when applying to the screw. My best advice is to make sure to leave it to "cure" for a day or so. I really think that has been the best trick.
