Lodge - Logic Cast Iron Square Grill 26cm (Made in The U.S.A)

I never thought I would use this as much as I do! I purchased it from Costco and now use it several times a week. We leave it on top of the cooktop since it is very heavy. Since we live in New England we don't use our outdoor grill from October through April so this takes the place. We grill steaks, pork, chicken, fish and veggies. Cleanup is a breeze. Soak for a few minutes and clean with a stiff brush. No soap. You don't want to remove the seasoned layer.

A real cast iron skillet

This is just what I was looking for and came to the right place to find it. I thought it wasn't gonna work on an electric stovetop but it was amazingly perfect.Grilled my boneless, skinless chicken breast to perfection.Thank you, Walmart

Love it! My meats come out juicy and full of flavor. Ensure you follow cleaning directions. I seen comments on various sights regarding rusting. I have now used mine several times and no rusting. I wash after every used, dry with a cloth, set in stove with fire in low to finish drying, than spray with olive oil. Looks like new every time. Ensure you wash within a hour or so after use. Do not allow food to sit in pan over night.

Excellent product - good quality at a great price.

This is a very high quality cast iron grill pan. It has complete instructions, too, as to how to care for it. It seems heavier than most others I have had, but the quality of it is obvious. If one treats it well and follows washing and seasoning instructions, it is likely that it will last a good, long time.

Good quality, accommodates more than a round pan, great value.

Rather than using it straight off, I put it through several cycles of seasoning. Note that because of the ridges, with the oil collecting in the valleys, it took a while to get the seasoning even.Note that many people (including some of the reviewers) don't really understand how the seasoning works. The oils cook down to the point where the molecules act just like polymers. The more seasoning, the more solid the coating. When you wash the pan DO use liquid detergent. The detergent removes the thick gunk, while not being able to break down the seasoning beneath. The dry it, lightly oil it, and you're done (one ... MoreGood size, excellent product. As long as the pan doesn't get so ridiculously hot that it turns the seasoning into ash, it will become better seasoned the more you use it.As for the pan itself, I prefer the square 10.5 inch model over the round pans. While the round pans can claim a bit more even heating, as the iron distributes the heat, this is not much of an issue - not like an aluminum pan. The square shape lets you fit more food into the pan and it works better for things like kabob. I like the pan. I later ordered the matching tempered glass lid. I'm very happy with them.

Great pan for “grilling” indoors

This is a great pan for cooking steaks, or anything else you’d throw on a grill outside. Cooks evenly if you give it time to heat up and cleans easily by hand. Pan is pretty mheavy though, so I had to use two hands to transfer from stove to oven. I love it and use it a lot.

Great product

Cast iron is great. I got 2 of these because all the longer griddles didn't quite fit right on my camp chef everest stove. With these I can place each of them over the center of the burner so they heat more evenly. The handles are a little difficult to grip with the gloves I use but otherwise product is great.

Just what I've been looking for!

Attractive, classic, nice size grill pan. Great price, too. Used it to grill some salmon, onions and zucchini the other day. Can't wait to use it on hamburgers, hot dogs or grilled cheese sandwiches. Ridges within the pan is high enough to make the classic "grill" marks but the pan is easy enough to clean afterwards with some good quality de-greasing dish soap. Pan is a little bit on the heavy side (cast iron!) but overall, very happy with my purchase.

LODGE IS FIRST STRING ON MY STOVE NOW!

i bought this skillet many years ago form my local walmart.Finally, after just buying a new Lodge 10.5" skillet from walmart, i decided to write this review.i had just reseasoned this skillet 2 times the other day, when I did the 10.5 skillet.I used it today after the reseason. all i can say, is its amazing, no more sticking and just use warm to hot warter to clean. I also will use a medium brush to clean inbetwee gunk off the grill. simple to clean and reoilSo now im waiting on a 50, to 60 year old dutch oven i just found to be next in my collection.Did I say I threw the steel pan out? lol!lodge is now first string on the stove, or camping!

Typical Lodge Cast Iron (that's a good thing)

This reversible skillet is just another example of Lodge Cast Iron knowing their business. Perfectly seasoned right out of the package. If you have difficulty cleaning check Lodge's website for tips and care of the item. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a cast iron piece like this.
