I purchases the product about 3 weeks ago. The installation was easy and I had no problems except when I tried to upgrade to a newer version of the software. The upgrade is only for windows 7, and locked me out of the Logictech Vid program. I had to uninstall the software and reinstall the original software that came with the camera. The system then worked flawlessly.

This webcam installed so easy. I didn't realize when I bought it that it had so many resolutions. The image is super clear! The microphone picks up all the sound, even from behind the computer.I highly recommend this product. You can buy it with complete confidence!

I install drivers sometimes, but I never install the added software, I am never interested in most packaged software. Let's face it, most everything is plug-n-play so you don't even need it. (Unless you like the silly consumer fluff they package with items) Extra, often glitchy software, is usually why people have complaints about products.

Great video and mic pick up. Love the mounting bracket that came with it. It has a rubber mounting surface and I have it sitting on top for a 32' LCD so I don't worry about sratches. I installed the drivers only for the device and not all the other software. With free shipping and $20 rebate I just could pass up.
Great cam thus far. plugged it in & had it up on Skype in minutes or less & I am not a tech guy. Running Vista Home. clear video on the other persons end as well as mine. Didn't need the software to get it to do what it was purchased for. So easy I am sending the in laws one. Blessings.
This product meets or exceeds all expecations. Very clear picture and easy to use. Have had identical product on other computer for 7 months using Skype. That's the reason I puchased it for this computer. Terrific video results.
I've owned several cams, all Logitech, this is by far the best of my best. It is so clear, it can be overwhelming. It certainly captures what it sees, even what I don't want to see...lol
I bought this for my sister who is not electronic savvy AT ALL. She had this out of the box and setup in minutes (without even reading the instructions which she says she hates). We were talking over the web in about 5 minutes, literally. She clipped it right to her laptop and remarked that the picture and sound was great! I'm very pleased with the purchase.
Bought this for video-conferencing via Skype. Installation consisted simply of plugging it in and selecting it from Skype's pull-down list of video devices. Cheese, an application for taking video and stills, recognized it automatically. Seems fully Linux-compatible to me. Haven't tested it on any other OS, nor have I tested the built-in microphone.
Pros: Good In Low Light, Sharp Image, Great Extra Features, Fast Connection, Easy To Set UpCons:Other thoughts: I ordered webcams for our office and they are worth every penny! Not only was it easy to install but the quality of the image is really good. I'd reccommend this webcam to anyone no matter what the person's technical ability since installation was a breeze.
