All in all, this is a great mouse for any workstation.

This is my favorite desktop mouse because the battery lasts forever and it feels very ergonomic. The only problem this has is the scrolling wheel misbehaves and will be very jumpy sometimes. It's a very common problem with Logitech products. Otherwise one great thing is you can use one battery or two battery with one battery being lighter and still lasts multiple months. It's not gaming mouse accurate but it's middle of the pack. The price is also really good and I have four of these mice.

Logitech has been making a wide range of incredible mice and keyboards for as long as I can remember. Every so often, one of their mice becomes an instant classic, whose general form is reused in later designs for years to come. The wireless M705 Marathon is a great example of exactly that. It’s inherited a sturdy and ergonomic design that’s been used for several different Logitech mice lines, for several release generations now. It’s truly wireless, which makes it great for computing on the go. It’s gentle on battery-use, so the twin AA batteries will last for months. The tilt-wheel can be clicked in either direction on a horizontal axis, which smoothens and quickens productivity. And, unique to this particular line, the wheel can be set for rapid-speed mode scrolling.

Awesome size for small hands
23 January 2023

I have been using this mouse for over a decade. It's feels great for smaller compact hands and great for on the go. The shape of the mouse feels great. I like that the mouse curves out resting your ring and pinking finger more naturally to the side versus forcing them to hug the other side of the mouse to follow a concave shape. The placement of the side buttons are just right even for smaller hands to click the correct buttons. I don't have to check if I'm reaching the furthest button. They have a nice click sound and are very precise. They don't have too much give into them. These buttons are super convenient. One of my favorite features are it's scroll change button to be are more robotic so you can see everything passing by or friction-less to quickly get to ... MoreI have been using this mouse for over a decade. I wish more mice had that feature. I also love the side buttons. This mouse works great for gaming too. Awesome for hours of causal PC gaming. The side and scroll button are great for quick actions.I've tried other Logitech mice but this one still standout as the best one for compact hands and slow or quick scrolling. I hope this mouse continues to stay around over the years because I'll definitely purchase another one.

Feels great in the hand, but button failures persist. Do not recommend.
1 June 2023

I've purchased two these already and the second one is failing just like the first one did. They feel great in the hand BUT after two years or less of normal use, the primary button fails. It either registers two clicks when you click once, or it drops an item in the middle of a drag, essentially the main button becomes intermittent and unreliable. Extremely frustrating when attempting to drag out a simple marquis selection. I will NOT buy another. I need a replacement, but I've had nothing but issues with any Logitech mouse I've purchased.I did some digging online and evidently this is a common issue with Logitech products. I'm not sure what brand I'll try next.

I bought this mouse to
13 January 2024

I bought this mouse to replace and identical mouse that I had had for years when it finally started to behave weirdly.I was disappointed to find that this newer version of the same mouse was not the same as my old mouse because it has lost a few functions. It lost a couple of buttons on the left side of the mouse near the bottom. For some odd reason this mouse no longer allows me to scroll to the left or to the right. To make it a little weirder sometimes the right-left scrolling works but most of the time it doesn't. I'm pretty disappointed with its performance, especially in the right & left scrolling.

I honestly do love the mouse

BUT I did not get a 3-year life like it is advertised. In fact, the batteries in my mouse corroded and my whole mouse went down the drain. I adore Logitech products because I work many work-from-home jobs. But I'm tired of having to go out and buy more and more. My stuff is only used in the office, I have headsets, keyboards, mice. Honestly, the keyboard and mouse I carry around with my laptop for years is still going, that's what made me stick with the brand. Those have also been dropped, knocked off couches, ect I could understand why those wouldn't work. BUT these that I pay nearly $50 a whop for any piece of equipment to not work within a year or two is really beyond me. I also checked for warranty so I could register my products to cover future me, but none ... MoreBUT I did not get a 3-year life like it is advertised. It fits my hand very well and works wonderfully
13 December 2022

This is my first mouse that I have bought. I learned that it is best to hold a mouse in your hands before you buy it. And you shouldn't buy them unseen in a package or over the Internet. At Power, you can pick up the mouse before you buy it! It fits my hand very well and works wonderfully. You have to make sure that you really understand everything that has to do with the mouse. For example, the USB receiver is in the mouse. Or you can change the way the scroll wheel works with the small button on the mouse. The instruction manual could clearly be more detailed and also printed larger so that it is easy to read. Logitech saved in the wrong place here. But otherwise - the mouse is absolutely great and I can highly recommend it if it fits your hand size well.

I purchased this mouse to replace an older one that is essentially the same design but wired usb that was failing, apparently one of the wires was worn in two right where it goes into the mouse. Could probably cut off 3 inches of wire and fix it, but decided to go with a wireless version. As best I can tell it works just like the older one. Funny I got sent a request to put in a review on the device just a few hours after I knocked it off a 3 foot high workbench onto a concrete floor. It hit pretty hard and survived that. I am still in the habit of adjusting the mouse cable at certain times, even though it doesnt have a cord. I've been using it about 3 weeks or so. Ask me again in 5 years whether it is a good mouse or not. I have used a few others that came with pc's and others at different work places. No reason to look for anything other than Logitech. Just keep making good stuff for a good price and I will keep buying your stuff.

The mouse M705 is of dubious provenance. It looks brand new, but I am not sure if it is 100% brand new. It arrived in a box, with batteries inside the mouse and the USB connector loose in the box. The USB connector usually comes inside the mouse. When I plugged the USB connector into the laptop, it did not recognize the mouse. I had to download the Logitech software and the connect the mouse selecting the right model.Note: I had to download the software on my personal laptop because my work laptop is blocked to download software.
