Best Macbook keyboard hands down, here is why
First and foremost, it has the same layout as the built-in macbook keyboard. This is huge. I've liked other keyboards in the past but then would be in pain when I need to use the macbook's own keyboard. This is why I always defaulted to Apple's external keyboard. It's not a coincidence that it matches the builtin keyboard, almost exactly. Apple knows how important that is.Second, the features: multiple devices is by far my favorite. You will know if you need this. If you don't think you have that problem then you probably don't.Third, the build quality is really good. Great feel overall and love the colors of my white, is slightly grey tinted. Will look great next to a silver or a space grey. Someone definitely didn't cut corners here.Well, there you go, a lengthy but detailed review of what to expect when you receive it. I will be sure to update this after I get some mileage on it to post any problems.... Show more

Elegant Keyboard and Excellent Typing Experience - color scheme isn't as it appears, though
This is less of a problem and more of a complaint. I've been waiting for a version of the MX Keys that matched my workstation color scheme, which is primarily white with some aluminum components. When I saw the MX Keys S in Pale Grey, with what appeared to be white or off-white keys on an aluminum base, I thought I'd found the keyboard I was looking for. However, I was disappointed when I pulled the keyboard out of the box to reveal pale grey keys on an aluminum base. The keyboard I unboxed doesn't resemble the one on the Logitech or Amazon sales pages or even the photos in third-party reviews.A Logitech customer support rep attributes the difference to background lighting, but I'm not sure. Even some of the third-party reviews show the keys being closer to white than grey. One major PC site described a "white-on-aluminum colorway" which is what I expected, and the picture he posted looks like that.Another major PC site describes “the Pale Gray unit's white buttons." These reviews and the pictures make me wonder if this unit I received had something happen to it in the manufacturing process.I did a lot of research before I bought this keyboard, and having it look different than how it was described and pictured in several places, including third-party reviews, leaves me a little frustrated. The design is elegant, and the typing experience is excellent, which primarily matters. Still, I'm disappointed in the mismatch between the promotional and third-party images and descriptions and the real thing.... Show more

Excellent keyboard for a multi-device workflow!
Overall:This keyboard has been an absolute lifesaver for me. I work from home but use my personal PC and work laptop with the same monitors at the same desk. With the MX I'm able to connect to my laptop (M1 MacBook) while the lid is closed and my home desktop PC (Windows). Whenever I want to switch it's a quick tap of the device switch button and it switches instantly and allows me to wake up my laptop and/or PC. I use this paired with an MX Master 2S and it really makes the WFH flow much better!Pros:-It has a great sleek design and awesome build quality (good heft!)-The keys are silent to press, so no clicking and clacking that bother roommates or family.-Wireless with great battery life, I think I end up charging it once every 3 weeks to a monthCons:-The ... It constantly disconnects and doesn't recognize my keystrokes, or recognizes them all at once and repeats the keys I entered over and over again. I ended up buying a new PC with Bluetooth to connect it, which fixed the problem-The Logitech options software used to customize the keys and lighting was also contributing to weird key issues, like delay between pressing a key and seeing the input. It even had a frustrating bug that caused the volume key to get stuck either increasing or decreasing the volume, which is obviously problematic if you're wearing headphones. I ended having to uninstall it, so I lost some functionality there.... Show more

Good features, lacks the durability I expected
I began using this keyboard at the beginning of 2020. The performance and features were great and I was mostly happy with the keyboard. The keystroke has a nice feel to it, the nearfield backlighting worked well (though I wish it had an always on feature), and connectivity was never an issue. I also wish that the keyboard could be connected via USB, as it would add a level of simplicity for when needing to rapidly plug it in to another computer (and eliminate any potential response issues).Unfortunately, the keyboard started to degrade after about 18 months of use. The nearfield backlighting stopped working, and the keyboard now only illuminates if a keystroke is made. The nearfield backlighting stopped working, and the keyboard now only illuminates if a keystroke is made. The backlighting failed altogether around the caps lock/shift/a/s region, so that area is mostly dim permanently. The black paint on the keys has started to chip off in places, letting the backlighting shine through. Occasionally keystrokes don't registered, mostly in the area where the backlighting has failed. I'll note that the firmware is up to date and I've tried to take relatively good care of the keyboard. It is disappointing, really. I acknowledge that I am a relatively heavy user (work from home and write lots of reports), but the keyboard is advertised as premium and has price tag to match. I'm not going to pay that much for a keyboard that seems to be a three-year disposable piece of hardware, especially given that other keyboards in the price range don't seem to suffer from the same defects. I've been a Logitech user for over a decade, but the quality seems to have fallen off quite a bit. The logi mouse I use registers double clicks with a single mouse press and the scroll wheel creaks like an old chair. My advice to those contemplating this would be to consider other keyboards in the price range as well, as you may find something more durable.... Show more

Nice Keyboard
I'm coming from an older full-sized Logitech keyboard. I wanted to get a keyboard that was a little more ergonomic, since I never used the numeric keypad and my mouse hand was usually angled pretty far right. It took a few days to get used to the size of this keyboard, but I really like it. The keys feel pretty nice when pressed, and they have a nice, but short travel feel to me. I turned the backlighting off, since I don't really care about it, and the battery is lasting a very long time for me. The keyboard also feels pretty "solid" and has a pretty nice premium feel.My biggest gripe is that it doesn't work super well with my MacBook Pro when connected via Bluetooth. I read the same complaint in other reviews, so I ordered a Bolt Receiver at the same time. It works great with the Bolt Receiver, but it's a ridiculous extra cost and the receiver should be included with the keyboard like the older Logitech wireless products. Also, Logi Options+ should really be able to update the keyboard through the receiver and not only when the keyboard is connected via Bluetooth.... Show more

It does not come with the new compatible Logi Bolt receiver that was released recently and this keyboard will not pair or work with unifying receiver. So, if you are planning to purchase this to use with your unifying receiver you are out of luck and may need to purchase the new Bolt USB receiver. Connection via Bluetooth is simple and uses Bluetooth low energy and is compatible with windows 10 or Mac or iOS or iPad OS or Android OS. Just go the settings and search for available nearby devices after turning the switch on and select the MX keys mini to get connected. You can connect max of 3 devices and switch between them with the tap of the easy switch keys located on the top row. Very seamless and fluid switching between devices once configured and connected. To connect different devices after connecting one device, press and hold the another easy-switch buttons on top for few seconds until it blinks to complete the setup process for other device. Once configured, just with the tap of the easy switch keys you can navigate to different devices. For my setup, I have my work laptop and personal gaming laptop connected to the Samsung 49-inch G9 monitor on a sit stand desk and this new mini keyboard paired with MX Master 3 works great for productivity. You can customize this keyboard with various functions by downloading the Logitech options software and setup functions keys and setup voice to text dictation. By default, the first row of 3 keys is assigned with easy switch keys to switch to various devices (1 to 3), decreasing /increasing brightness for backlighting for keyboard, dictation and emoji keys, screen capture keys, mic off keys and multimedia keys (play/pause, volume mute, volume decrease, volume increase). All these keys can be easy switched between Fn keys by pressing Fn+Esc and all this without holding the Fn button.Keystroke is perfect with the keys shaped for fingertips and is very comfortable ergonomically. Batteries will last up to 10 days on a full charge, and it again depends on the usage and the backlight brightness. If you need more than few months of battery life, suggest turning off the backlighting in the logi options software or reduce the brightness to save battery. This mini MX keys will definitely save desk space and when paired with MX Master 3 it can switch and operate multiple computers on the same network seamless using the Logitech flow software.Overall, if you are looking for a productive, compact (space saving), performance, comfortable, portable (easy to take anywhere you go), wireless, multi device connection keyboard without losing the full keyboard functions and have no need for dedicated number pad then this is the keyboard for you and won’t regret the purchase.... Price Reflects Quality
This is an excellent keyboard in my opinion. It's easy to type with, given my preference for low-profile keyboard. Unfortunately, my G915 model is called "low-profile," but it has too great of travel time and is too high off its chassis in my opinion (makes sense since it's it's mechanical unlike this). The difficulty I found in typing with it motivated me to purchase this keyboard. Could use some G/macro keys in my opinion, and being autistic, I can't look at the keyboard when it tries to connect. I would also argue that its lowest backlight brightness is too high, but just at the edge of comfort. I was initally anxious over my experience with cheaper blue tooth keyboards, because they lag and chug through gameplay, and this also lacked a proprietary receiver. Not only that, but it doesn't appear to use the cord for anything other than charging.I was happy to find out, however, that it suffers from none of those aforementioned issues. Even in high-end "AAA" games, the keyboard functions so well. Awesome work again, Logitech. This keyboard fortifies my love for its brand. Might even pick up the full-sized version in future.... These are the least used actions. Not to mention that there is a native shortcut for emoji in Windows.I don't understand why Logitech decided to ruin such a great keyboard idea with a terrible decision for absolutely terrible keycaps that just not suitable for Windows experience. Offer a dedicated Windows keyboard or supply the keyboard with 4 replaceable keycaps for Start, Alt Left, Alt Right, and Ctrl Right. Mac's prominent marking kills the experience.... Show more

Seamlessly switch between up to 3 BT enabled devices
The Logitech MX Keys Mini blows my previous bluetooth keyboard out of the water. The compact size, backlit keyboard and ability to connect up to 3 devices and switch between are my favorite features. I keep the backlit feature turned on and charge this keyboard every Sunday and have been very satisfied with the battery life. The backlight does turn off quickly if your fingers aren't immediatly near the keys which I presume is to maximize battery life. The keys are responsive and very quiet on this small footprint keyboard making it easy to take on the go and yet still convenient to use at home. The keys' design is comfortable to use.
