Thia webcam from Logitech was a life changer in terms of attending work meetings and conferences. I had an issue with my laptop camera that's why I bought one of these since this is the cheapest amongst all Logitech Brio (great series of webcams based on Youtube reviews, check them out) lineups. It was great enough to serve as your webcam. The USB-C connection is a huge PLUS since all ports now on laptops are limited to that one. The Logi Options+ app I downloaded to support this webcam is somewhat helpful if you wanna shoot some creative content using this webcam, nonetheless, it is fine without it unless you are in a Logitech ecosystem like me, the app would be a plus. After weeks of using it, I have no issues encountered. I was clear enough to be heard. It does cancel out nothing to a minimal amount of noise, and the rest will depend on the video conferencing app you are using, or if you have noise-canceling tools installed as well. Overall, this is a great product and I recommend it for everyone who needs it for day-to-day work meetings and online classes.

Certainly an upgrade to any laptop webcam.

First, I commend Logitech for being environmentally conscious. While the camera’s funnel shape design and speckled color may not appeal to all, I’ve grown fond of it overtime. I found the design language is rather functional in many aspects but lacking in others. I certainly welcome the lid-based privacy cover which not all have. The mount is easy to place virtually anywhere on top of most screens, but unfortunately there is no tripod screw for alternate positioning. It’s also strange that the camera can only move up and down but not side to side, which makes one stay always in the center view. This camera has a USB-C only cable connection, and unfortunately does not come with a USB-A adapter, as some others include at this price range, so please keep that in mind ... MoreFirst, I commend Logitech for being environmentally conscious. This camera has a USB-C only cable connection, and unfortunately does not come with a USB-A adapter, as some others include at this price range, so please keep that in mind when considering. Also, the 5ft cable might be a bit too short, and can barely reach my under-the-table tower from my 32” monitor. The picture quality is decent. It is certainly ten times better than most laptops. The 1080p/30Hz cam does a good job in showing clear pictures in a well-lit environment. There is only minimal noise in shadowy or black areas. There is only a slight ghosting effect when moving fast. Unfortunately, there is a lot of graininess in darker environments, so I strongly recommend using a forward-facing light or lamp. If you place the light on one side, it can make the entire picture look washed out. The cam has good viewing angles for showing more than one person. Another thing to note is that there is no auto-focus at all, so one must keep at least 4ft away to stay in focus. The single mono microphone is rather good. While it lacks a bit of body and bass, it does capture voices very well and clearly -even above 10 feet away from it. Unfortunately, it also captures a lot of ambient noise, so be careful when pounding on those keyboards.I recommend downloading the Logitech Logi Tune app for your Mac or Windows PC. There, you can easily manage some basic picture controls such as brightness and exposure, as well as adding filters. In the end, I think this is a budget-friendly upgrade to any basic laptop webcam and works well with all major online meeting platforms. However, if you are looking for a more professional result, such as in streaming or webcasting, perhaps looking into a higher end set up may be a better option.

Great General Purpose Webcam for Video Calls

I have several Logitech webcams I've used over the years and this Logitech Brio 300 performs great among them. For some reason, I thought this camera was going to be bigger from the initial pictures that I saw. I'm glad I was mistaken. The camera portion is about 50 millimeters in diameter and about 42 millimeters in depth not counting the stand or cable. If you're counting the stand, it's about 50 millimeters again. The cable is non-removable from the camera, about 60 inches in length and is a USB-C type cable.Unfortunately, with my setup, that cable wasn't quite long enough to reach the USB-C ports on my desktop computer. However, I was able to purchase USB-C to USB-C female to female adapter for pretty cheap and able to use any of my USB-C to either USB-C or USB-A cables (as long as they are data rated) to extend with enough length to reach my desktop. The camera also features a rotating shutter for privacy and a nice bright white light for when it is on. The camera stand has a decent amount of articulation in two joints to help it hold onto a wide range of monitor thicknesses. The camera also has its own joint that allows it to tilt up and down by about 60-75 degrees. The camera does not rotate from side to side. The stand is also missing a tripod mount which I think it unfortunate. The quality out of the box is quite impressive. I found the picture to be crisp for a 1080 webcam. The audio isn't fantastic, but I normally just use my headset to provide a little privacy. Low light performance of this camera is very good compared to some of the cheap cameras I've come across. This Brio 300 is compatible with multiple video conferencing platforms including Zoom, Microsoft Teams and Google Meet. It is well suited for my work calls. On my own PC, where I can freely install any software, I was able to install LogiTune to adjust the settings of the Brio 300. From the LogiTune App, you can adjust the Brightness, Contrast, Saturation and Sharpness and turn on Auto Exposure, Auto Light Compensation, Auto White Balance and Anti-flicker. There are also a small amount of filters. One of the draws to the LogiTune App is the ability to connect to your digital calendar in order to manage meetings and meeting notifications from the LogiTune App.However, I'm a bit disappointed in the Preview controls within the LogiTune App. It's a rather small window, especially on a 4K monitor. The preview image comes to be about 2 inches tall and less than 4 inches wide. That's not enough to really see how your image adjustments are making a difference.I think all the above features make the Logitech Brio 300 a great general purpose webcam. Since the LogiTune lacks some maturity and the mount lacks some flexibility, I don't feel this is the best option for Streamers.

Great picture, very unsteady mounting

In my work-from-home setup, complete with dual widescreen monitors attached to my laptop, I was always having to turn my head to review information on a big screen. Since my webcam is built into the laptop, this meant my audience was always looking at the side of my face, plus, I wasn't speaking *to* my audience when I was presenting. I wanted to get something that could be mounted on one of my widescreens so I could simultaneously face the camera and still have my information in front of me, so I got the Logitech Brio 300.Getting into the box was a challenge from the start. I wanted to get something that could be mounted on one of my widescreens so I could simultaneously face the camera and still have my information in front of me, so I got the Logitech Brio 300.Getting into the box was a challenge from the start. The packaging helpfully had sealing tape applied to the 2-way tab that keeps the box closed, but the set-up instructions are graphically printed on the box flaps. Tearing them was out of the question. Luckily, it's a simple USB-C plug; it's literally a 1-wire install. After retrieving the webcam, I then had to hunt down a USB-C port. I had a spare on my docking station, but I did experience a few moments of panic when I thought I had a product that wouldn't work with my setup. I would caution users to double check that they have this port, or some type of adapter to a different port. And that was it! Once plugged in, it simply started working. I didn't get the usual "your device is being installed" messaging, but I did start to see that cam as an option in my conferencing software. The picture is phenomenal, and I've had several people comment about how clear and detailed it is. It's so clear, I've had moments where I thought, "is that what I look like?" One of the downsides, though, is that there's a bright LED on the front of the camera. I'm not sure if this is to illuminate me for a better picture, or if the aperture of the camera is deep enough into the case that it creates its own shadows and needs additional light. Whatever the case, it's definitely a bright white light that is more distracting than not.My biggest complaint, however, is the mounting. There's a lip on the base that's designed to hook over the top of the monitor screen to keep it from falling backwards, and an adjustable "leg" with a wide pad on the bottom to prop it against the back of the monitor. And that's it. There's nothing to actually secure the camera. If the leg were spring loaded maybe, it would create some tension to keep the camera in place. But, each time I go to flip up the lens privacy cover, I'm always afraid it's going to fall, which would be extremely distracting at the worst possible time. The thing didn't work, at all, on my curved monitor, as there was no place for that padded portion to actually grip. Each adjustment made the camera front-heavy, and it did continue to fall forward. I ended up with it mounted on my non-curved monitor, but, as stated, there's not a lot of confidence that it will remain there.Overall, it's one of the best webcam pictures I've ever seen, so if that's what you're after, this one is hard to beat. But, if you don't need any more distractions, the bright light on the front of the casing, and the extremely loose mounting will probably just add to it.

Very good camera in this price range. Out of the box experience was less than expected, but after visiting the Logitech website and reading through their material, I found that you also need to download Logi Tunes. I found it only after looking up the Brio 300 and scrolling down to a panel that talked about downloading this additional software. There is a link in the box describing the free software. At first, I tried to do a search from the main website and it returned zero webpages, so you will have to dig a little. I waited for the update to finish (about a minute) and then you have a control panel that really opens up the capabilities of this little gem. There are several preset scenes from bright to cinema to black and white. I left mine on the standard setting and it made a world of difference from the just the out of the box camera settings. There are many other settings to make nearly infinite adjustments and eventually I will get around to playing with them to tweak them a bit. But for now, this software package makes the difference between a two star and a five star rating. Audio is very good for a camera in this price range, but is not as good as my Logitech Blue microphone and I did not expect it to be. For everyday conference use, the clarity is good, it does a good job of suppressing background noise, and everyone says I sound almost as good as through my expensive microphone. Really good performance both audio and video. Not sure how they managed that in a package as compact and inexpensive as this one.For conferencing use and everyday communications, this is a real winner, especially at this price point. You will not be disappointed.

High Definition Visuals and Sound
7 August 2023

The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite is a professional quality Webcam that does not take you to the bank for a hundred dollars or more, while providing a high definition video picture with sharp and clear sound. When I first plugged the Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite into my computers USB C connector, there was no response on my screen. I then downloaded Logi Tune and opened it and the light came on the Brio 300. I was instructed to install the available new firmware update. She told me that the video pixilation does not drag from side to side as my previous Webcam video did. The Full High Depth picture comes out crystal clear in 1080P. The sound does not give off that robotic metallic sound either. Vocals are clear and crisp and understandable with no negative feedback. She was so impressed on how I looked in the video that she asked if I could give it to my Grandson as a birthday surprise. The Logitech Brio 300 Webcam – Graphite is an impressive device to video call on.

Passable For Video Conferencing
4 August 2023

The Logitech Brio 300's focus is on video conferencing, where it does okay but is not really suited for anything more, such as content creation. It does have a handy feature that lets you connect your Google or Outlook calendar to display upcoming video calls on your schedule. While the camera is 1080p, it's hardly impressive. I found that the picture was noisy, and appeared over processed. Color was off, and while some improvement was found by playing with the settings, it was still underwhelming.Overall it's usable for videoconferencing, but noisy, over processed video and an overly sensitive microphone that sound echoey keep it from being much else.

Perfect Choice For High Audio and Video Fidelity
8 August 2023

I have found myself needing to do more video conferencing as of late, so I decided to get this camera instead of relying on my lower resolution laptop camera. I am very happy that I did because the difference in audio and video quality is a night and day improvement. I will be using this camera exclusively now for all of my video conferencing needs. The 1080P resolution really makes a difference when compared to the 720P resolution cameras in my laptops. But as important is the high fidelity noise reducing microphone. This mic effectively suppresses background noise and allows sounds to be transmitted loud and clear. Much clearer than any of my laptops.Installation was easy as it is completely plug and play. Much clearer than any of my laptops.Installation was easy as it is completely plug and play. The camera sits securely on the top of the monitor using the built in stand. Once connected go into the camera settings of Windows, select the Brio 300, and it is ready to go. It has an attached USB-C cable and Logitech recommends connecting it directly to your computer. However I connected it to my hub via a USB-C to USB-A adapter, and it worked perfectly. One thing I noticed is that if you are using Windows Hello for facial recognition, my laptop defaults to the internal laptop camera. This is likely a security measure, and I could not find a way to change this. This is not a problem for me though, because I am using this camera for video conferencing exclusively. The Logi Tune App is available if you want to fine tune the camera settings. The App works well, but I found that out of the box the camera is properly configured. Also Windows has available settings to adjust the camera settings.I highly recommend the Logitech Brio 300! Its high audio and video fidelity quality make it a perfect choice..

Simple webcam that does its job
24 August 2023

The Logitech Brio 300 is a solid, basic web cam that can be used across a variety of applications on both Windows and MacOS machines. In fact, they boast a number of such apps on the box in which the camera is housed in, so you'll know that this camera will work with pretty much everything.I tested this camera on a MacOS device. As a testament to the ease of setup, the only thing I had to do was download a Logitech app that directly ties into the Brio in order for any settings to be changed and for me to otherwise control the camera. While there are a handful of video resolution settings to choose from, I typically allow the application I'm using -- whether Google Meet or Zoom, for example -- to set those for me.In all honesty, whether it comes to smartphones ... MoreThe Logitech Brio 300 is a solid, basic web cam that can be used across a variety of applications on both Windows and MacOS machines. However, once you get used to how the lens flap works, it's not a huge deal.Overall, if you're in need of a USB-C-terminated web cam, this would be the one to get!

Solid HD Webcam and a Great Value
8 August 2023

The Logitech Brio 300 is a great webcam, especially when factoring in the value. Much like how even a simple soundbar can improve drastically upon a TVs built-in speakers, a simple external webcam can make a resounding difference compared to built-in laptop webcams. In this case, the Brio 300 provides a full HD resolution coupled with features like auto-light correction, noise reduction microphone, Logi Tune app support for custom image calibrations, and a privacy shutter for when not using the webcam. In all of these regards, the Brio 300 succeeds well. The picture is crystal clear, the auto lighting works great for cleaning-up dim light situations, and built-in mic works well. In all of these regards, the Brio 300 succeeds well. The picture is crystal clear, the auto lighting works great for cleaning-up dim light situations, and built-in mic works well. If you want to sound your best however, I still would absolutely recommend getting a dedicated microphone, as this won’t make you sound nearly as good as it can make you look.I really only had one gripe with this webcam, and that is the actual mounting mechanism. It doesn’t really tighten or feel very secure on your monitor. The hinge is flexible, which should allow it to work with a wide variety of monitors (in my case an Ultrawide Monitor), and because of the looser fit, you can move the webcam easily up and down and side to side without much issue. However, I also wouldn’t trust it to not fall off if bumped or shaken in any way. In most cases, this isn’t an issue, but could be worth noting if you have kids or animals that tend to run into your desk a lot. Honestly, I don’t think it is much of an issue. The webcam itself is very light, and while it feels a bit “cheaper” that is more down to the use of recycled plastic than anything else. The size is good, without being too large, and overall I have had no issues with software, or hardware, in my time with the webcam. I primarily use Microsoft Teams, and the webcam has integrated seamlessly. Really no complaints here with overall usability.All-in-all, if you are looking for an easy way to upgrade our laptop web-cam, without breaking the bank, you can’t do much better than the Brio 300.
