Fantastic webcam. Handles just about every lighting condition without any need to faff around with settings. Can handle bright sunlight without blowing out the image, and best low light webcam of the lot. Ive tried loads of other models. If you want, you can still alter the settings with no less than 3 different Logitech applications, LogiTune, G-Hub and Logitech Camera Settings. They all do pretty much the same thing, though only G-Hub lets you change the image size and frame rate. Comes with a generous 70" USB cable, and the screen clip is decent too. My only criticism is that it doesnt always remember settings between re-boots. I cant comment on the sound, as I use an external microphone, but I think most webcams are pretty much the same for sound - rubbish! Ive given it 4/5 for value for money, purely because it's so expensive, and massively inflated at the moment due to Covid home working demand.

I bought this model webcam to get the Windows Hello support, and it works brilliantly, quickly logging me in to Windows using facial recognition. The picture quality is great. It took me a while to work out what software to install for it, as there was no information provided, and a lot of on-line information is outdated. I would recommend you install Logi Tune (current version 2.213.108). It allows you to set up your webcam's zoom level, field of view, color adjustments, autofocus, PAL/NTSC, etc. It can also link with your calendar and display scheduled Zoom meetings, making it a doddle to join a meeting. This camera is not cheap, but I believe it is worth the expense for all the features. I'm certainly very happy with the purchase.

I use this in my home office, which is often a little dark because I don't have a light in the ceiling, so it's usually just the monitor screen that is on and maybe some sunlight from the window. I come out perfectly bright, in fact sometimes I have to close the shutters completely because it can get too bright. Which is great, I think. Image quality doesn't look as great as marketed but it's pretty good. I have a HD 1080p logi cam at my work office and this one is only a little better. So is the extra cost worth it, maybe not. But the product itself works great.

Great image quality WHEN/IF it works
1 August 2022

My company purchased this camera for me to help ensure that we provided professional-quality video communication with our clients while we all worked remotely during the pandemic. I will give this camera at least some stars because the video quality of this camera is quite good for a small, screen-mounted camera. However, after a full year of use, the negatives far outweigh the positives and I would personally never purchase this camera. And yes, I have stayed fully up-to-date with firmware updates (which is actually one of the issues). 1. However, after a full year of use, the negatives far outweigh the positives and I would personally never purchase this camera. And yes, I have stayed fully up-to-date with firmware updates (which is actually one of the issues). 1. Within the first few months, it started occasionally not being recognized by Teams or Zoom, so I would need to disconnect/reconnect in order for it to be recognized. Within 6-ish months (and still to this day), it ALWAYS disconnects in my first 1 or 2 video calls of the day, and requires repeated disconnecting/reconnecting and/or turning video on/off in Teams/Zoom. 2. When it's not disconnecting, it's freezing. This is not a Zoom or Teams issue as it happens with both, it does not happen with my coworkers who don't use the Brio, and it is resolved by again disconnecting/reconnecting my camera. 3. Will also occasionally invert all colors or only show certain colors (everything will appear only blue and green). Resolved with disconnect/reconnect, but not the most professional delivery when you're trying to lead an executive decision-making session for your clients. 4. The vast majority of the time, Windows Hello face ID will not work through the Brio, even though the description claims that it will. It will blink furiously as it tries to work, but nothing ever happens (except for when it miraculously started working last week for the first time in ~6 months...but this week it's back to not working). Unfortunately, Windows Hello settings are poorly designed, and it forces you into using whichever external camera is plugged in, which means that the Brio has effectively disabled Windows Hello on my machine. 5. Zoom setting won't stay fixed. I set the zoom on my camera to be slightly tighter to provide a less-distracting background on video calls. It resets automatically at random points throughout the day, and requires me to reset it manually. 6. Logitech's channel for distributing firmware and software updates is really confusing. When you go to the page for updates for this particular Brio camera, it's really hard to tell whether the updates are for the camera or one of it's numerous apps that they try to get you to install in order to manage various Logitech peripherals. You end up accidentally installing apps that have nothing to do with this camera. And so far, the software and firmware updates haven't corrected any of the above issues. Also, it would be nice to get notified by Logitech when updates are available. I basically just randomly check their site to find out if they've fixed anything yet. I am using a Surface Pro 6 with Windows 10, fully updated (Windows updates have not seemed to make any difference with the Brio's performance). I have kept both the Brio's firmware and the Logitech Camera Settings app fully up-to-date to try to alleviate these issues, but nothing has helped.

I have like FIVE of these!

Okay, maybe I lied just a little - I only have four of them in my studio. (To be fair, I said like, which makes the statement less precise.) Let me see, what do I use these babies for? One camera is mounted with a light less than a foot from a chromakey mat. It performs its duties masterfully on screen, with the reliability of a star in a leading role, despite being relegated to wholly invisible duties most of the time. The third camera captures a wide studio view for my Patreon supporters, as a secondary behind the scenes feed. The image quality mean it captures a professional and crisp image. The fourth camera is used for B-roll, whether temporarily mounted to a microphone stand or some other protruding fixture, or handheld on a mini gimbal. I think it's time to buy a fifth one! What I'm trying to say, is - if you need something that can handle 4K quality in all sorts of lighting conditions (and /professional/ 4K quality under professional lighting conditions) - this is my go-to camera for anything and everything where a sub-$500 camera will do, and it's not even half that price!

I like this webcam

The Logitech Brio was easy to set up on a Mac. I just plugged it into a USB A port on my Ben Q monitor and attached it to an articulate arm. Then I connected the articulate arm to the stand of my Ben Q. It all works great. I do not use the microphones as I have an audio interface and external microphone but the camera is clear, sharp and does a pretty good (but not perfect) job with color (bright saturated shirt colors or very dark shirts etc will throw it off a little, just like most webcams I've tried, but it's not too bad.) I use a LumeCube Go Panel over top of it on a separate articulate arm and another LED photo light in the room, so I can't really speak for how it works in low light, but with plenty of light it's great. As I indicated, I bought this model because of its USB A cable connection into my receiving device (monitor) and also because of the 4kUHD resolution. I haven't really checked to see if the 4KUHD is actually running during Zoom conferencing (I suspect it tops out at 1080p) but it it looks great on my end and even on a 31.5 inch monitor. I am very happy with this webcam and so far have no complaints.

Not for everyone.
20 September 2022

The video looks fine. It doesn't seem to look much better or worse than my previous Surface Studio built in camera. What I don't like about this camera is the mechanism for mounting it to the monitor. If you bump or move your monitor the camera is not mounted very tight and you seem to have to adjust it periodically. Even when I close the safety flap to cover the lens it moves. I would have returned this but didn't want the hassle and I needed something until I can find a suitable replacement. In all fairness this could work better if your monitor shape is different. I use it with the Alienware 38 and the back is slightly curved so it proves to be a tricky angle for this type of attachment mechanism.

Nothing but problems
6 September 2022

I would love to write a positive review, but I don't have one here. If you are a Mac user, please take deep consideration if you want an unsupported product. Camera is great when it works, but I've had nothing but problems with multiple Macbook Pro's and months of headaches. It's atrocious the level of hassle it is to get this working, and there is little hope. OS support doesn't keep up - MacOS 12.5.1 is out, and some of the Logitech Download products support MacOS 10's, and 11's, and one for 12.0 (which you don't even specify what is required and what is optional). It's a small piece of hardware with entirely inadequate, trip-over levels of support.

Video is so-so because auto-focus doesn't really work on a Mac
5 October 2022

I've been using this for several months now - firmware is up-to-date, latest versions of control software installed (although I find it confusing whether I should use LogiTune or Logitech's Camera Settings - I've used Camera Settings mostly). I'm on a Mac running Monterey. Consistently I find that the webcam doesn't autofocus correctly in video conferencing software (Zoom, Webex and Teams). I have to run Camera Settings in a separate window and adjust focus manually. It's a shame because when you get the focus right, it looks great. But for this price, there's a lot of faffing about that feels an expensive waste of my time. I would not buy this again.
