Logitech C310 HD Webcam

I was looking for an external webcam that will only go as far as where my shoulders are and this one's perfect! Laptop user here, by the way. So if it's too close to your liking, you can easily set it up somewhere farther behind your laptop or literally just tape it to something which is what I'm doing lol. And I saw a review that said it sometimes gets disconnected when you move the wire, it was true for me but it was with an older usb splitter. I tried banging the splitter on my table (not too aggressively) and alas, the camera would temporarily disconnect. So if something similar is happening to you, you might want to check if your ports are the one causing the disconnection.Maraming salamat po!

Camera works well but instructions were confusing and no CD for software setup

The camera seems to work fine. The instructions were very confusing (not well written in my opinion). Instead of providing a CD with the "Logitech Webcam Software" (to adjust camera settings, etc.), the instructions directed me to a website that ended up containing generic Logitech product software download links. There was no link for "Logitech Webcam Software"! So, I Googled "Logitech Webcam Software" and the top link ended up being a 3rd party site disguised as an official Logitech site. I downloaded and installed the software link and it ended up checking ALL of the drivers for all software on my PC. Some drivers were changed and this basically corrupted my hard drive to the point that I could not reboot or recover the Windows software. Pros: Plugged USB into my PC in and it worked straight away. The picture for video calls is much better than on my old laptop. Works ok in dim light. Sound quality fine for video calls (I'm in a small private office). Balances fine on top of my PC and is adjustable so I can still see the top of the screen.Seems good quality and a fair price.Cons: Been using it for a week, no complaints or suggestions for improvement so far.

Does the Job exceedingly well

I am exceedingly pleased with the C310. I only wanted a camera which produced better quality videos than my laptop webcam. The C310 really does do that. I'd read mixed reviews of this camera and wasn't totally sure of what it would be like on my system (Win7 64-bit, 6GB RAM, 1.6 GHz dual core), which is old and never was top notch but the C310 serves admirably. However; I would not bother using Logitech's own video capture software except to use it's Motion Activation feature. It only records in Avi or maybe WMA as well, and is not particularly controllable ie the preference settings don't have many options - not as many as I would like. Also; being mostly AVI, the output video is very large considering the overall quality. I would suggest looking for an alternative ... MoreI am exceedingly pleased with the C310. This camera's picture quality is Very good, and the built in microphone gives an excellent sound recording. As said; I only wanted to record videos for youtube and wasn't looking for something that danced a jig and played the fiddle at the same time. For the Brilliant price of 22.99, this is a Great little webcam.

Great Camera, Great Price

I purchased this camera for work-from-home online meetings, and it's awesome:It plugged right in without having to download any software. I frequently unplug it from the dock in order to charge my Bluetooth headset, and it works fine each time I plug it back in; no error messages or rebooting.The lens is normal, not fish-eye, so there's no distortion in the picture. (My son's work recently purchased a camera for him, and it's a fish-eye. Great camera at a great price!

Works great with Microsoft Teams. My computer and Teams immediately recognized it as an option for both video and microphone. The microphone is clear even from about 3 feet away. I have been told that if I move from side to side, the camera view changes to put me in the middle of the frame. Video quality is great. The mounting is acceptable and adjustable, but doesn’t clamp tight(not spring loaded). The camera also swivels 360 degrees, which makes it easy to adjust right where you want it to point.

Great little plug-n-play camera

Needs to be at least 2-2.5ft from the subject or it's just your head in the frame. This device doesn't have any zoom functionality so if you're too close to the lense you'll be huge in frame. For example at a desktop a 2 foot distance can be a little far to get the framing of your face right. Simple to set up, logitech camera software is light and easy to work through, connected to desired apps as expected, no issue. Logitech makes great tech from simple for n00bs, to complicated for pros. I think I need to look a little more professional on my work calls so will be looking for a more sophisticated device but this one def works fine.

While its auto-focusing and image quality aren't the best out there, the 1080p resolution proved to be a decent balance between clarity and not putting too much strain on the internet capacity.The compact design makes it really easy to stow away everyday and quickly prop up when needed.A downside to its form factor though is the inability to horizontally tilt the camera, which in my case often means I need to swivel my entire monitor to get the desired horizontal angle. The cable is a bit of a chore in my use case.From my admittedly non-expert experience, the logitech in-house software (called LogiCapture or something like that) is pretty simple to navigate and has useful functions, HOWEVER the software becomes recognised by the PC as sort of a virtual camera as its own entity and can easily make your browser/meeting software confused and unable to access actual footage. So it takes some effort to understand the technical arrangements arround that IF you choose to use the software which, as mentioned, has some useful extra features like exposure or image size adjustment.Overall though, it's quite handy for its price, especially for someone like me who has occasions that absolutely requires a webcam yet do not need it everyday hence justifying a higher price investment.

bad quality, software doesn't keep saved settings

I've had this camera for about two years now, and it's given me nothing but trouble. The quality of the camera overall is pretty bad, most of my coworkers use their built-in cameras on their laptops and look much better than my video coming from the c310. Additionally, on my mac, the software defaults to a very zoomed in view and I have to use the camera settings software before every meeting to change it to widescreen. I contacted support about this and was told that it might make it into a future version of the software to be able to save settings. For the price, I guess it's ok.
