Logitech G29 Driving Force Racing Wheel for PS4 &

I use the wheel and peddles for Farm Simulator, Snow Runner, American Truck Simulator and European Truck Simulator. The unit works well although some of the games have their challenges. This is a software issue on the game side and not the hardware side. The PS4/5 version of the wheel has slightly more controls than the X-Box version. I haven't used the hardware for an extensive time so I can't comment on build quality although my initial impression is that it is quite good for a plastic encased unit. Durability and reliability have yet to be determined.

Best Bang For Buck Under $500

Got this for $217 after tax. As a beginner wheel, this is great. I have Assetto Corsa with all the fancy graphic mods as well as casual driving on Forza Horizon 5, this wheel along with playing on my lg c2 oled 42in the first day I got it has been a blast. The wheel is on my desk lined up to the in game steering wheel exact size surprisingly. Now, I watched a lot of reviews before making this purchase and the opinions about the pedals were divided. Some said the brake pedal is too stiff, others said they want it stiffer like loadcell pedals. On LG hub I set the sensitivity of both the accelerator and brakes to 100 and these brakes feel great. Pros: The devices themselves feel great. Heavy and sturdy enough not to move around when used. The pedals lay on the ground and dont slip. The Wheel is sturdy and attaches to a table top sooooo easily and tightly via two very thick and ruberised screw up and down levers. No concerns at all about movement once attached. Whilst driving, some buttons might be too far away from your grip for smaller hands (children) but other than that it is laid out well and easy to use. The main buttons are laid out as per normal PS hand controls. It connected to the PS5 easily without any concerns and all buttons, linked themselves. No technical tinkering required. Good solid wheel with force feedback

Solid wheel, no complaints. Feedback in the strong wheel is cool and the pedals feel sturdy and well built. I've done plenty of hard braking in the month and a half since I bought it and they seem fine. Works well with PS5 and GT7, although I can't say I'm any better at the game because of the wheel. Mounts onto a small portable table I have because I wasn't trying to buy some specific set up for it. And then I have an old height adjustable office chair for seating. It could be more ergonomic I'm sure but it works and it's a lot of fun. Is this wheel as good as the more expensive Logitech wheel, probably not but for this being the budget option I don't think you can go wrong.

I didn't need/want to drag the console out into the middle of the room nor did I want to be so close to the 55 TV, so I had a USB cable extender I used to give me more reach. DONT DO THIS. The wheel was - I thought - working fine, but I noticed in Gran Turismo that when a preliminary auto-drive sequence transitioned to self drive, there was a hard bump to the steering that sent the car veering to the left. It was weird, but manageable. And then I played F1 and the flying laps or pit drive-out sequence would slam me into the wall when it switched over. It took a lot of searches to realize the USB extender was the root cause. Once I removed the extender the wheel works much better. The feedback is pretty good overall, but can be a little too exaggerated in F1 (maybe more recent releases of that game are better). Both games recognized the wheel and have their own mapping and configuration. The wheel feels fairly natural. There's a little play at center, but it otherwise has a shorter ratio that is fairly easy to adjust to. The pedals are pretty good - a little tight but still manageable. The brake is progressive but can only do so much. You really have to pay attention to markers, speed, and other indicators to know if you are coming in too hot. That said, it is communicative enough so you can tell the difference between feathering and standing on the brakes. Overall I'm really happy with the purchase although it represents only the first investment. Because if you see such a big improvement after buying a wheel, imagine the difference a cockpit simulator could make....

JUST BUY IT

This is an amazing starter wheel/pedal set, especially for the price. Everything feels very high quality, and there are so many metal parts that make it feel extra premium. The leather wrapped wheel feel so nice as well, much better than most other higher end wheels to be honest. The force feedback is also very impressive, I did not expect it at all for this price. It feels closer to a medium tier wheel force feedback, which makes the price even more compelling. Finally, the button positioning is perfect. The D-Pad and main buttons are all within your thumbs reach, which makes it so easy to add/customize additional functions to your wheel. This is something other, more expensive wheels like the T300 RS really miss the mark. This is highly immersive experience and I am recommending it to every one who seek the SimRacing or wants to save money on practice for driving license, as it is very realistic when you get the additional H-shifter. Combined with VR headset you really feel like in the car (G-force aside). The wheel is quiet comparing to early 2000's G25 or G27. The leather is really well done and 23 functional buttons can establish control within any sim-racing game. 900 of rotation is plenty and can fit into any racing game. I was concerned about their movement on my space, but they come with a very good rubber for solid surface and carpet grip extension if you have one likewise. The cables are long, but can be rolled under the steering wheel base for comfort. Overall the prize is well stated, for about 40 extra, you can get H-shifter to create the best setup for beginners and enthusiasts - it is more than enough to make you sweat after long race and you will sleep like a baby. So far I've done over 100hours of ride, even on 3/4 of force feedback the motors bearly warms up but this is a workout range. 2.6Nm may sound like nothing but it's more than enough.

Perfect Steering = ATS or Racing games.

Firs time I got this is worked perfect. I love it. You can make the 270 degrees turn. Just like a real car giving a precise accuracy to the road allowing precision driving. I usually use it for the ATS American Truck simulator. Gas and if you get the shifter it works even better. It will respond just like a car or Truck would when you make those perfect turns and the near-impossible turns that you don't get with the keyboard. The shifter will allow you to skip gears real quick in ATS and the Pedals will allow you to quick shift as you need it. This is more for ATS than a racing game but with the extra 270 you probably get more precision driving down to the last degree allow you the perfect edge on the perfect turns. If it wasn't I would not worry) The last thing, it is very sturdy and I would not pay a penny less for it as long as they keep the quality.

Prolonged my fun with gaming

Then got a 3090, started playing games again and really enjoying them, VR ones on Oculus and Steam. Then I got bored again, Oculus doesnt have many good games, so I thought I'd start flying sims, got some pedals and a X52 flight set, again played flight sims and start wars for 6 months loved it. Then as a last throw of the dice I got this set. Wow, this is absolutely crazy fun. Playing in VR driving sims if absolutely massive fun, also Truck Simulator is so addictive. The cheap ones are plastic junk, they dont feel realistic at all, and are really just a way for you to input signals to a game. This thing though, although not the best by any means, is just the right balance. It weighty, looks a bit daft, but actually gives good feedback and really tries to pull the wheel out your hands when driving. I must say though dont let your kids near it, the thing spins around, and has 2 sharp metal gear changers at the side of the wide, these also spin around really fast when you fist plug the USB in. I'm very surprised this is even allowed on the market, its lethal. But if your responsible with it, get it, its awesome.

Turned me on!

I love racing games - but rarely play them as I don't find controllers - or mouse and keyboard - feel 'right' but I finally couldn't resist and bought the G920. And boy! am I glad I did! Everything about it is far better than I was expecting, if I'm honest. The quality is really nice, both the wheel and the pedals are sturdy, and firm and best of all, the cables are really really long - so I can leave the pedals under the desk, and the wheel to one side, when I do other things on the computer. In game it feels realistic and responsive - I can honestly forget I'm playing a game at times. My son borrowed it to play a drifting game - and I can't get it back, now! So, what are the down-sides? Not really the wheel's fault, but setting it up for each game can be painful - I noticed more than one driving game defaulted so the pedals were reversed (like, pushing down on the accelerator slowed you down!). More a fault of the software developers, really - if it was easy to change in game, it wouldn't be too ,much bother - but it isn't, and it is. Clamping to the desk is a bit of a mixed bag - it just depends on your desk as to how well it will hold. My desk is hard wood, and quite thick, and I ended up putting some rubber mats between the desk and the clamps as it would work loose however hard I screwed the clamps. On my son's desk, on the other hand, it grips like a newborn koala! For the price I don't think it can be beaten - in fact I checked and I have spent more on racing games than I did on the wheel! Max
