I have used the mouse for about a month now, so none of this is long-term. The mouse feels very nice, and there are no problems with the buttons or scroll wheel. The clicks feel good, and the side buttons feel really nice. I have not had the sensor mess up except for once, but that was because there was a hair on it. I highly suggest switching the AA battery for a AAA battery, and using an adapter or just some tinfoil (I'm using tinfoil), as it feels much nicer and less back-heavy. I have not noticed any major battery life loss so far. Doing this has made the mouse called a "cheap g pro wireless," but I have not tried one, so I cannot say. The software is relatively easy to use, and the DPI setting is obvious and easy. I wish you could set a mouse button to be simply "ButtonX," however, as it has to be set to a button or key. I've set my side buttons to F23 and F24 respectively as a replacement, which does effectively the same thing. I like how there is an option to save on onboard memory so I can continue using the same settings even at a computer without G Hub installed. The mouse only has half the max DPI of Logitech's flagship sensor, coming in at 12k DPI, but let's be honest, who actually uses more than 4,000? This is not really a downside. TLDR: Good mouse, but you should replace the AA battery for a AAA. In my opinion it is a good deal.

I love the current shape and finish.- Scroll wheel does not have a clutch to disable the tactile-clicky scrolling. In longer documents and websites, clicky wheels are way too slow. There are ways to customize your scrolling in the software, but it's not as intuitive and doesn't feel anywhere close to the super spinny scroll wheels on other Logitech options, like the MX Master and MX Anywhere series.- The G logo is visually brash. I wish it was gone. If this mouse were stealth, it would be probably be the best candidate for most people in most settings. This is nitpicking, and should not discourage buyers. I'm sure the logo will wear off after several years of use, but as it partially wears away, it'll look pretty gross. It would have been better as an etched area or slightly smoother texture than the rest of the mouse, with the same body color.

Normally I don't need the 1ms polling so I leave it at 8ms of endurance mode and just... get to work! The AA battery that comes with the mouse lasts a REALLY long time in this mode, many months now. My original black one unfortunately suffered some damage on the receiver from use but I simply had to buy another one of the same model, this time color lilac because it was cheaper (and pretty too!). The responsiveness of the mouse is simply on point and it's great for my work, which is as graphical designer. I don't need any of the RGB LED features and, lacking that, I think the battery life was improved greatly too! Rarely need to charge and all I need to do is keep another one charged and replace if needed to get back at work. The mouse is also nice to let me know if a battery is almost ran out by flashing a red LED on the mouse itself and give an estimate battery level on the computer itself (I run Linux), so it will never catch me by surprise.

Excellent value, basic wireless mouse for those looking to get into wireless peripherals
22 June 2021

Really enjoy this mouse more than any other mouse I've had prior to it. While certainly not the top of the line, this mouse has everything I need. It fits perfectly in the palm, and while a bit smaller than something like the Razer Deathadder for example (which may be an issue if you enjoy a bigger mouse), that's one of the things I love about it. It is not however, something like a cheap laptop mouse in the sense that it's really tiny. I really enjoy the click of the two main mouse buttons and have had absolutely no issues with double clicking or missed clicks as of so far. The scroll wheel has very satisfying tactile feedback and works reliably. There are two side buttons that are really nice for navigating back and forth when web browsing for example. The adjustable DPI is a really nice feature and will come at 800 DPI out of the box, but can be configured up to 3200 DPI using only the DPI selector switch and up to 6400 DPI in GHUB. Personally, I set it to 1600 DPI and that is more than enough for my needs, but you can really go overkill if need be. The incredibly accurate sensor is what makes this mouse such a great value and it is perfect for gaming. Battery life is really solid for just a single AA battery, you'll probably get a few months of usage on a single batteryin endurance mode, but obviously less when using in performance mode. Haven't had any connection issues at all and latency seems to be on par if not slightly better than my old wired mouse, with the included dongle being simply plug and play on windows. Honestly, if you are fine without the bells and whistles of RGB and insane macro control, as well as being comfortable with a slightly smaller size, this mouse really cannot be beat for the price. I got this mouse slightly used and aside from a few barely noticeable cosmetic blemishes, you wouldn't know that this mouse wasn't new. This is a great introduction into wireless peripherals if you don't want to spend $100+ and will be great for the grand majority of people who do both productivity and gaming. I highly recommend purchasing this mouse.

Good Budget Mouse But With Some Caveats
4 March 2022

This is a good budget wireless mouse, gaming feels good, great accuracy, great customization of settings in the Logitech software, but there are somethings that you will need to keep in mind if you are deciding to purchase. There is an issue with double clicking as the mouse gets older. Within 2 years, I have gone through two G305's. The first one last about a year and a half, while the second only lasted roughly three months. That's because eventually both mice would begin to register one click as two, and as the problem began it would get gradually worse and worse to the point the mouse was no longer useable. One other issue I personally found is battery life, it isn't as great as advertised. 250 is what is advertised, which if you're sitting for long play ... MoreThis is a good budget wireless mouse, gaming feels good, great accuracy, great customization of settings in the Logitech software, but there are somethings that you will need to keep in mind if you are deciding to purchase. One other issue I personally found is battery life, it isn't as great as advertised. 250 is what is advertised, which if you're sitting for long play sessions like I do (4+ hours of playtime per session), that's roughly 60~ days (maybe 30 if you're taking general everyday use into account). However, I was finding myself replacing the battery usually once per week, which got very expensive buying new AA batteries very fast. I'd chalk it up to the first mouse being a lemon, but both G305's I've owned have had both these issues, so I highly doubt it to be a lemon for both. I'd chalk up the double clicking issue to the mouse living it's intended lifespan, if it weren't for the second mouse only lasting 3 months before the same issue popped up, and extensive internet research telling me that double clicking is a common issue with this particular mouse model. If you're just getting started with PC gaming, or just need a cheap holdover until you can afford a higher quality mouse, then the G305 is a good choice, as when it works it works really well. Otherwise, you should consider saving up $20-$30 more and buyer a higher end mouse. My recommendation is both yes and no, but Best Buy only let's me select one or the other.

Good full size mouse
11 January 2023

One of the best full-sized mice I've owned. Falling under the large palm demographics, even some full sized mice will tire my hand because of the curvature my hand needs to keep while resting on the mouse. My default model is the M510, so compared to that this is slightly smaller (length) by less than a quarter of an inch and slightly lighter, probably because it only uses 1 AA battery in comparison to the two the M510 uses. The movement capture is very smooth for the most part. I have, however, had some difficulties adjusting the wheel for a smooth scroll. The buttons are a little more sensitive in comparison to the M510. Also, trying to get the usb receiver was very frustrating. The space around it is not made for larger fingers and the receiver itself is very smooth, lacking any dimples or curvatures that would help getting a grip on it. Overall these are minor issues, and I would still recommend this item.

My G203 started to register ghost clicks after that amount of time, specifically with the right click. I play a lot of FPS games so it's likely that's how it started double clicking.Overall though, if you're new to the mouse market (whether it be for gaming, school, or work), this mouse is great for its value.

Nice gaming mouse

First, let me qualify this review by saying I'm not a hardcore gamer. Someone who is really into gaming and lightning response may disagree with me. But I find the Logitech G305 LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse to be more than adequate for my needs. It feels very responsive and hasn't given me any problems up till now. It boasts a 250-hour battery life which I have yet to confirm but based on past experience with Logitech wireless mice I don't doubt the battery life will be exceptional. The DPI button allows you to cycle through 4 different DPI settings. I had recently purchased a Dell Alienware x17 R1 laptop and had also purchased an Alienware gaming keyboard and mouse to go with it. I was very disappointed in the mouse as it continually registered double mouse clicks when I only clicked once, and the scroll wheel didn't work all that great either. But my new Logitech mouse works flawlessly. So far, I am very pleased with my purchase.

Not good for FPS

I had a SteelSeries wireless, maybe an Aerox before this and an old Corsair wired. It has some weight to it, the SS is way lighter and the Corsair was about the same. It was much harder to click and scroll with this one. I have tendonitis and it really hurt it after a short time of use. Unfortunately the return window for BestBuy is pretty short and it was a couple days out before I realized I could not use this mouse anymore. I need one that's easy to click, smooth movement from the trigger button, scroll wheel and moving the mouse and this did not have any of that. Battery life seems good and it hasn't disconnected. after a few months it is beginning to wear out on the top and that is with me switching to my old mouses when it gets too difficult to use. Overall this was a waste of money for me for gaming.

Solid Gaming/All Purpose Mouse

I am on my third G305 mouse in the last half decade between home, gaming and office use. I went through two pretty quickly that developed middle mouse button issues. At this point I decided to spend some extra money and upgraded to a Logitech G Pro Wireless. While this was not a perfect end experience I came back to this mouse because it is so good and the price is right even if it needs replacement eventually. I took the third to my office a little over two years ago and it has been a rockstar ever since. It is light enough and runs at a high enough resolution to keep my FPS side happy and never, ever has issues. It just works. For a gaming setting I still recommend it so long as you expect to replace it once every few years with hard use. This has been consistent, reliable, and worth the money when used in the office setting. You cannot go wrong with the G305.
