The mouse showed signs it was cleaned off with a disinfectant wipe, the plastic that is there to keep the mouse from getting scratched showed signs it was removed and put back on, the twist ties that held the wire showed signs it was undone but done again in a way to try to hide it and the separator that held the mouse but kept everything else away from the mouse was ripped. All in all, I'm disappointed with my experience with this mouse and will be returning this mouse for a refund.

Pros• Zero noticeable latency relative to the wired counterpart. Absolutely none it's mind-blowing how good these are• Very ergonomic, I use it for hours on end without fatigue• More shortcuts through the programmable buttons + multiple profiles than you'll know what to do with. It's nice to know I have always have the option of switching out a CMD+S with a mouse click if I wanted to, although I probably never will.• Excellent battery life, I could have done with 24 hours too since I charge everything else everyday anyway lol but the rated 48-60 is ridiculous and much appreciated.• The packaging is superb, I honestly felt like they put effort into designing it and making sure the customer feels special while opening it. Almost like an Apple product.• The plug n play nature is fantastic. I plugged the USB receiver in and bam, mouse works! No need to ever open G Hub if all you want to do is left click and right click (although if you're spending $150 on a mouse I should hope you intend to do more than that). The DPI out of the box was quite slow for my taste but all it takes is a couple of clicks to fix it.• I love G Hub, there seems to be a fair amount of hate for it in the community but the UI is fantastic (the UX is more of a con, listed below) and the number of options is mind-blowing. I love personalization, and I love being able to make the mouse completely my own, tailored to my work/gaming needs. I use it more for work funnily enough, it is fantastic from a productivity standpoint.• There is an option to add weights if you think it's too light, once again love the configurability.• Powerplay compatibility means if I want to shell out another $100 (and sadly I likely will) then I can use the mouse forever without having to ever charge it. It's a definite luxury not a necessity, so I appreciate them giving us the option.Cons• Only for right-handed, they don't make a left-handed version• I managed to chip it a little on the inside while trying to remove the cover, it should be slightly more resistant• I don't like having to read the manual for G Hub, I prefer that such software be intuitive enough a layman could figure it out. I'm a software engineer and still took a while to figure out how to use multiple profiles while not in onboard mode• The G4 button is ridiculously uncomfortable to get to, I'm not even sure why it's there except to boost the number of programmable buttons lol. I would have preferred a button on the right I could push with my pinky.• The elephant in the room, I could probably have gotten similar performance out of a $50 mouse nowadays so $150 is pricey for sure, but for the plethora of button shortcuts available and the sheer joy of knowing it is absolutely perfect in every way is perhaps worth it.• The G logo is hidden by the hand most of the times so I would have preferred there to be RGB effects elsewhere on the mouse as well, but eh.• The stepwise scroll wheel feels really wonky to me, I always use infinite. Perhaps because I'm on a Macbook idk• It's only available in black, which is not a deal breaker obviously since it delivers in most other ways but continuing the trend of configurability I would have liked to see some color options, perhaps even engravings on request. I don't ever intend to sell it to another soul, so why the heck not :D

[Rewarded Review] Excellent Choice
13 April 2024

Classic Logitech gaming mouse. I love this mouse. My favorite aspect is the large button on the side by your thumb. Using the Logitech software, I’ve mapped this button to several different functions based on what application I’m usingIn the age of ultra light mice, this is quite a heavy mouse. I am not using any of the included weights to keep its weight as low as possible. The RGB is nice. If you set three DPI options and set the highest one as your default, the three lines representing which DPI setting you are using will always be on. I like that.Overall, you don’t care about wireless or weight, this is an amazing choice. I e also seen this mouse on sale for $35 quite regularly, so you can pick it up for cheap too.

31 May 2024

This is only my second gaming mouse and I’m not a heavy gamer but I found this mouse to be extremely responsive and very smooth. My first mouse was a wired Razer Basilisk. That was also a great mouse but this one is noticeably smoother. It’s highly customizable from the lights to the buttons. The pc app is designed to automatically set different profiles for different games. Don’t know if that’s normal but it was very easy and intuitive to set up different button layouts for each individual game I have or just use default settings. Good battery life. Comes with weights that fit inside if you’re into that. Overall great purchase

The scroll wheel is an improvement over the old metal scroll wheel, and I prefer the physical release button to switch between click and free scroll over Razer's electronic release.Using this mouse feels like the old G502 Hero, but a little better.Everything fall apart when you start using the software, though. G Hub is just a pain to use, unless you only ever play one game. But if you're like me and you like to play new games somewhat regularly, you will have to set up a new game profile EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. As much flack as Razer gets for Synapse, they did this right. You can set up a few profiles and add as many games as you want to those few profiles, and they sync across computers, so if you have a desktop and a laptop, they both work the same way. G HUB requires you to create an individual profile for each game. Technically, you can copy a profile from one game to another, but it isn't a straightforward process, and there is nothing in G HUB to indicate that it is even possible. I had to find someone on the internet to describe the process.PLEASE Logitech, invest some more of your resources in making G HUB the gaming software worthy of your hardware, and you'll have a loyal customer for life.

More buttons was nice, but it took quite a bit of trial and error in games before you developed the muscle memory to actually use that many buttons. This mouse seems like a pretty perfect number of buttons to quickly and easily set up in whatever game you’re playing and then actually get used to your layout. The scroll wheel feels amazing, whether you unlock it for velvet smooth scrolling, or lock it in for a more click type scroll. The button just behind the scroll wheel allows you to switch back and forth on the fly.You can also very quickly and easily change the resolution of the mouse with the two buttons to the left of the left click button. This allows you to snap back and forth between a finer slower movement and a faster bigger movement. The Logitech G hub software is ok. Nothing special, but it gets the job done. Here you can change the lighting of the mouse as well as create and save profiles for the games you play.I would definitely recommend this mouse to anyone looking for a great wireless mouse. Obviously great for gaming, but also great for anything else you use a mouse for.

[Rewarded Review] Worthy Successor

The OG G502 and the G502 Lightspeed are my favorite mice of all time. They performed well for most games in my experience and for general use. Extremely comfortable, conformed to my grip and hand size perfectly, and durable for the most part. I really loved the free scrolling wheel as well as it was useful for many things. The main flaw with those mice however, was that they were prone to double clicking due to the switches Logitech used at the time. For this mouse, Logitech changed the switches being used in M1 and M2, so double clicking should no longer be an issue. Though compared to the G502/LS, the mouse clicks feel a bit hollow and have slightly more travel. It's also a bit lighter which I definitely appreciate, but feels a little wider which could either be a pro or a con depending on your grip and hand size. It retains the free scroll wheel and the overall performance of this mouse is great. The new sensor is very accurate and the battery life is great especially with this being the non-rgb version.Overall, this is a worthy successor to the G502/LS. Improvements have been made while retaining the qualities that made the G502/LS awesome mice in the first place.
