Very dark design such that lettering of keys are invisible! unless backlight is on.Requires Logitech G Hub software to customize keyboard. Good: G Hub does Not require account login, so more likely to remaining functional for a long time, unlike lousy Razer software which breaks and make your KB unusable.E.g. of limited customizations: change back-lit away from default, distracting rainbow waves; Backlight setting Only takes effect when G Hub is running! Backloght settings stays when OS is locked, unlike Razer which reverts to default.Only Function keys are programmable; the rest are NOT.No right side Windows key; instead there are Fn key and context menu key. These can only be disabled by activating Game Mode by pressing Fn+F8.Comes with palm rest.

Pluses: The keyboard has a nice aluminum finish. This makes the keyboard feel very premium. Furthermore, the keyboard has RGB lighting, which can be set properly with the Logitech G HUB software. Also, the lighting can be set per application. This means that for specific games, you can have specific keys set up. Furthermore, a number of games are also configured by default. This makes the keyboard especially suitable for the gamer. Personally, I also used the keyboard for office purposes and with white lighting (adjustable via G HUB) it was nicely finished. The keyboard then has a neutral effect. Cons: The Logitech G Hub software often has bugs, making the lighting difficult to adjust. The various setting options per app then don't work. But this is quickly fixed ... MorePluses: The keyboard has a nice aluminum finish. This makes the keyboard feel very premium. Genuinely fantastic keyboard. Great high quality switches with the tactile keys very nice to press, without being exceptionally loud. RGB is great, super customisable using the GHUB software on your pc. Very sleek look and doesn’t look too much like a ‘gaming’ product - it strikes a nice balance. Highly recommend this to anyone - have had mine for 2+ years now.

Good Points: Have bought this after trying to hunt down a Corsair keyboard unsuccessfully. Read some posts about it having RGB problems, but a few weeks in I have noticed no RGB or switch problems what so ever. People get discouraged to buy different than Cherry MX switches (this has logitech's own GX switches (a knock off if you will), but I would advise you not to get discouraged by it since Cherry hasn't improved their switches for more than 50 years now they are extremely vulnerable to dust and moisture and provides no superiority. Logitech has been around for years and their stuff has always held up at least for me I have owned a G502 for about 5 years which is now in my friends hands and is still going very strong and I have a G Pro mouse for myself right now ... MoreGood Points: Have bought this after trying to hunt down a Corsair keyboard unsuccessfully. Logitech has been around for years and their stuff has always held up at least for me I have owned a G502 for about 5 years which is now in my friends hands and is still going very strong and I have a G Pro mouse for myself right now and I pretty much trust Logitech as they have been going on for decades now and I genuinely only swap Logitech stuff out cause I get bored of it and not because of a technical fault. Some strong points:Great wrist restRounded edges that won't poke youMetal constructionQuite compactBraided cableFeels very sturdy and of good quality and weighs quite a lot aswellImprovement Points: Would have liked to have a num lock light which this keyboard doesn't unfortunately have but overall a solid keyboard.
Same issues as the G512 Carbon, with the added malus that is double as pricey. I I bought the G512 when my old G810 (fantastic keyboard, was very happy with it!) stopped functioning. I was appalled by G512's defects, and then bought the G513 hoping that these problems were solved. No chance. Honestly, I am puzzled at the bad design of this keyboard. This is something one would expect from a small firm, not a giant company like Logitech. The extremely high price does not favor it; perhaps it would be worth buying if it were 90% cheaper.
Overall, this is a fantastic keyboard that I can't give enough credit to in design, cost, comfort, speed and reliability. Here's why:The keyboard arrives in neat and non-wasteful packing housing the keyboard itself, the wires (which are substantial) and wristboard. The packing is well laid out and matches the quality of the keyboard. This keyboard requires two USB connections, but contains an extra one for the mouse so you aren't really missing out on any precious USB ports. The cables are incredibly thick they are fabric coated which should protect the wire if it is tangled or bent. The connection to the keyboard is made from very thick rubber which will last a long time with little wear and tear. The first thing I noticed about the kayboard was the weight of ... MoreOverall, this is a fantastic keyboard that I can't give enough credit to in design, cost, comfort, speed and reliability. The cables are incredibly thick they are fabric coated which should protect the wire if it is tangled or bent. The connection to the keyboard is made from very thick rubber which will last a long time with little wear and tear. The first thing I noticed about the kayboard was the weight of it. It is a very heavy keyboard which is good because it won't move during gameplay and it feels solid and high quality. The finish behind the keys is brushed gunmetal grey which looks fantastic on it's own. The keys are simple and raised from the keyboard. Between the keys and the base of the unit, there are lights which glow when the keyboard is plugged in. The automatic setting for this keyboard is multicoloured and this shifts once booted. This looks amazing, but can be a bit distracting, so for day to day that can be changed using the software. What this does mean is that you can personalise the keyboard completely. You can assign colours to different keys and really make the keyboard what you want. If you want to light up just the WASD keys, you can. What makes this great is that if a game has an odd key for a task which becomes quite useful, then you can light up that key so you don't miss it during quick game play. This is just a suggestion, you can make the keyboard look however you want for function or for fashion, either way it looks great. One thing people worry about with the keys being so raised is the response time on the keys. I have noticed an improvement in response time using this keyboard compared to my unnanmed previous model. The keys are light, yet solid and quick to respond to any touch.I can't recommend this keyboard enough. It has the quality of a £/$300 keyboard for a much lower price.
Logitech has done a great job using materials of higher quality with their packaging and the pictures on the box really show off the aesthetics of the G513 Carbon. There is no wasted space on the keyboard and I would consider it to be slightly smaller than other gaming keyboards. The keys are lifted up on the keyboard instead of feeling embedded into it which gives it a rather futuristic feel to it.One of the drawbacks to having a keyboard like this however is that here are no media keys to control your volume, play/pause etc. something that many people have gotten used to having over the years.A plus is the included USB pass through location on the top right corner of the keyboard. This can be used to connect a mouse or memory stick or wireless adaptors. For some people who like to keep their computer tucked under their desk, this is certainly a useful thing to have so you can plug and play without bending over breaking your back every time. The wrist rest feels quite comfortable. I have used it while gaming for 2-3 hours straight and I would say it has made it a difference from having it and not having it. It is not attached to the keyboard which meant that sometimes it did move around when I am rigorously slamming the keys. I also really like the way the keys feel. They feel firm without too much resistance. It is great for gaming but I also enjoy regular typing on this keyboard.Overall the G513 is an enjoyable non-complicated keyboard. It is well built and responsive and I would recommend it if you do not need the media keys and fancy a sleek and small metal chassis.
