This was overcome by using a USB extension cord Overall: This is a great wheel and pedal set for anyone who isnt wanting to pay $500 plus for a top-tier set. I tested the Thrustmaster kit in a different store and found it lacking. I definitely recommend this for anyone who likes racing ganes and wants a more realistic experience.

I work as an auto tech for big 3 US dealer, and I will say the fit and finish of this wheel is just about on par with a generic sports car (camaro, mustang, etc.). I work as an auto tech for big 3 US dealer, and I will say the fit and finish of this wheel is just about on par with a generic sports car (camaro, mustang, etc.). Not Porsche or Lambo quality, but for sure nicer than I was expecting. The leather (not sure if its real, probably fake) feels very nice during long, sweaty handed play sessions, and after 2 weeks of use hasn't rubbed off or gotten marked in any discernable way (will update if and when it does). I drive a WRX IRL, and the pedals honestly feel extremely similar to it. They're sporty and firm feeling, not squishy like a manual Cruze or something, but not track car hard either. I feel the brake pedal could have a little more travel, but it's nothing major and may just be a personal preference. I'm pretty sure they don't change their feel based on vehicle being driven, but games like Forza will change the clutch "bite" point depending on the car. It can be a little akward, simply because you can't actually physically feel it like you would in a real car, but I imagine that would be a very difficult and expensive thing to emulate from game to real life. But honestly, once you dial in your settings, it feels just like driving a real vehicle within about 10 min. The force actuation is extremely accurate and MUCH stronger than you think it would be for its size. (it will shake desks, especially if they're not super sturdy) Most games default to the strength of it being perfectly in the middle, but I find it best to use it at maybe 35-40%, but yrmv. The whole setup is very heavy and sturdy, without being too cumbersome. The clamps feel very strong and easy to adjust. it can be a bit akward to route the wiring for the pedals, shifter(not included but highly recommended), power, and main USB connection, especially if your desk is like mine with already terrible cable managment, but there is a slot underneath that does a decent job of keeping things from tangling as the exit the main connection point (directly under the wheel). The shifter paddles are either mechanically actuated or very good at imitating it. They're solid metal and feel great to use, but they aren't self centered, meaning they travel with the wheel. It can be kind of disorienting when trying to turn and shift at the same time, so it will require focus to remember where the upshift vs. downshift paddles are at any given time. The standard abxy buttons feel fine, not any better or worse than a standard xbox controller. d-pad is about the same. The start and select buttons are a little soft, but nothing terrible. The only flaw I can find on it is that it doesn't have a small joystick on it to use in menus or map screens. I play on PC, so i just grab the mouse for those times, but console users may find it difficult to scroll through things like maps or certain menus when only having access to the d-pad. Thats a small QOL improvement I'd like to see on the next iteration of this thing, There are LS and RS buttons, but they're not very stable and almost feel like they should click in multiple ways. That being said, I don't really find a need for those extra buttons. One thing to note is that if you have it plugged into your computer/console, every time you start or reboot the device, the wheel will self calibrate by turning all the way right and then all the way left. So if you leave it on the floor or on a shelf when not in use but still plugged in, be sure that the wheel can rotate freely or else youll have to recalibrate the device when you go to use it, and if its in a position where it cant move at all, you may risk burning out one of the motors. I will note, on PC, even though the buttons are labeled with the xbox layout, many games (even xbox gamepass games like FORZA), will still refer to them as generic pc game controller buttons ie 1-10. Not at all a dealbreaker, but does require some getting used to sometimes. Overall, its an easy 5 star for me. 98/100, simply because nothing is perfect, and at this price point, the minor features missing are completely acceptable.

Fantastic quality and great fun

I bought this specifically to play F1 2022 on the Xbox Series X. Before getting this wheel and pedal setup I was racing using the standard controller, every bend was a constant wiggle of the stick with the car jerking in to position. With the Logitech wheel you can accurately place the car where you want it round the corners, the force feedback is great as it has a good feel of weight as you corner. It also vibrates as you speed down the straights and corner when the track is bumpy. I read some reviews that said the brake pedal is very hard, perhaps too hard. It is definitely hard, but you can calibrate it inside the game so it's not an issue. It is definitely hard, but you can calibrate it inside the game so it's not an issue. Personally I found that the accelerator and the brake were a little too close together for for normal trainers and I found that they could catch on each other. Perhaps if you wore racing boots it would be fine, I don't go that for so I set the clutch to be the break and this solves the issue, also gives you a brake that's not a stiff. For F1 2022 on the Xbox there are a lot of tweaks you can make to how the wheel and pedals perform so it feels good for you specifically. Overall I find it very immersive and really great fun, wouldn't be without it now and well worth the money! Next temptation is to move to a PC with VR but that will cost 😁. Don't hesitate on any so so reviews, if there are any, this is a great purchase. Two year John Lewis guarantee as well so gives you a peace of mind.

A first word of caution if you're deciding to buy this item open box....a common issue with these racing wheels is a failure to sync with the xbox system. You'll know right away when you hook it up because if the wheel syncs it will automatically turn left and right before centering itself. If it doesn't, it will never sync - trust me. I purchased two open box of these and both did not sync properly. Im sure it's because whomever returned them didn't tell the store why and they just repackaged it. I ended up buying a new one and it worked flawlessly. The wheel gives good feedback, has a bit of a learning curve with games like forza but all in all it adds a lot of fun to the experience. Great unit but unusually difficult to install

Whilst this system is specifically designed for use with the Xbox family of consoles, I had struggles getting both the console and some games to recognise it. Unboxing and setup of the controller was relatively easy though the arrangement to clamp the wheel to a table/desk was very awkward in my particular environment and the furniture I have. I later decided to purchase a frame/stand to suit this controller and that has resolved the issue. As mentioned, the biggest struggle I had was getting the controller to be recognised. The USB cable for the controller was a bit too short for easy use with the console and TV (I wish I was wireless and simply required the power cable) so I needed an extension cable which on reflection may have contributed to the problem. Despite ... MoreWhilst this system is specifically designed for use with the Xbox family of consoles, I had struggles getting both the console and some games to recognise it. Despite all the guides to perform initialisations of the controller (which it happily did - rotating the wheel from one lock to the other by itself) I found I needed to reboot the console after plugging the controller in to have one game (Forza) recognise it, and even then, the game didn't reflect the buttons of the controller accurately... On the Xbox One I have; the controller wasn't showing in the accessories list until I disconnected and reconnected one of my standard wireless controllers (don't ask me why that should influence it) and magically it appeared and became available. Once I finally got it working, the controller is great. The brake pedal seems to require a very high pressure to get to the 100% mark (when doing the calibration), and this might cause slippage on a non-carpeted floor, but the built-in pedal unit grips work great with carpet to stop that (in contrast, the pedal unit is now installed in the frame/bracket - which doesn't have adequate grips - and now both the pedal unit and steering wheel retreat from the driver when attempting to apply brakes (the frame/bracket doesn't have the attached seat).

Its meh

It looks good but keep in mind if you dont play pc that this wheel is largely not integrated or even fully supported for use on xbox despite how its marketed on the box by Logitech. The lsb and rsb buttons, which are meant to represent the left and right stick buttons respectively, dont work on xbox at all. The brake pedal features a rubber pad by its sensor to simulate realism, but it ultimately fails at this as it makes the braking far too stiff and unresponsive. Which the renders even using the wheel pointless if theres no option to calibrate the pedals (neither one of the assetto corsa games do not have the calibration feature). What i do like about this wheel is it feels comfortable to use, it looks good, the force feedback feels great, and on games where you cam calibrate the pedals, it works decently. However its lack of support on the consoles make this a wheel aimed primarily at the pc market with marginal xbox compatibility at best. The G920, however, does shine on Project Cars 2. It was compatible with it right out of the box, which wasnt something any other game could pull off. All i had to do was recalibrate the pedals to compensate for the poorly designed brake pedal, which took all of 5 seconds to do. If you have this wheel or are getting this wheel, itll work best with PCars. It wont really work very well at all on any other game aside from forza. The settings do have to be meticulously adjusted for Forza however. For me, the lack of compatibility and support for console makes this wheel severely overpriced for what i got since i can only race comfortably on one game and the game i bought it for isnt even compatible with it. A major step back from the G29.

Product works great and sets up quickly

When I returned home I was able to have this product up and running withing 45 minutes and thats including downloading the software for it, it's super straight forward to setup, plus the fact that it has the clamps built in is really nice. Honestly if I had to choose 2 things to complain about (and this is really genuinely nitpicking) is that if your desk is super thin, like card table thin, you will have issues clamping to the desk. 2 it doesn't specifically state that you have to download software in the instructions, and the wheel appears to function without the software it just appears like it has a software issue. But you download the software from their website and bam perfectly working wheel setup 10/10 I would recommend to anyone who is genuinely interested ... MoreWhen I returned home I was able to have this product up and running withing 45 minutes and thats including downloading the software for it, it's super straight forward to setup, plus the fact that it has the clamps built in is really nice. And the wheel is an investment so really think about if you want it or not. I recommend trying a buddies if they have one or go to a local arcade and try some wheel racing games and see If you could do that but with every time you play.

Turned me on!

I love racing games - but rarely play them as I don't find controllers - or mouse and keyboard - feel 'right' but I finally couldn't resist and bought the G920. And boy! am I glad I did! Everything about it is far better than I was expecting, if I'm honest. The quality is really nice, both the wheel and the pedals are sturdy, and firm and best of all, the cables are really really long - so I can leave the pedals under the desk, and the wheel to one side, when I do other things on the computer. In game it feels realistic and responsive - I can honestly forget I'm playing a game at times. My son borrowed it to play a drifting game - and I can't get it back, now! So, what are the down-sides? Not really the wheel's fault, but setting it up for each game can be painful - ... MoreI love racing games - but rarely play them as I don't find controllers - or mouse and keyboard - feel 'right' but I finally couldn't resist and bought the G920. Not really the wheel's fault, but setting it up for each game can be painful - I noticed more than one driving game defaulted so the pedals were reversed (like, pushing down on the accelerator slowed you down!). More a fault of the software developers, really - if it was easy to change in game, it wouldn't be too ,much bother - but it isn't, and it is. Clamping to the desk is a bit of a mixed bag - it just depends on your desk as to how well it will hold. My desk is hard wood, and quite thick, and I ended up putting some rubber mats between the desk and the clamps as it would work loose however hard I screwed the clamps. On my son's desk, on the other hand, it grips like a newborn koala! For the price I don't think it can be beaten - in fact I checked and I have spent more on racing games than I did on the wheel! What to know before buying!
27 December 2022

Don’t usually leave reviews but after purchasing this for my sons Christmas present and not being able to use it until 10pm on 27.12.22 I thought I would! Wheel worked in the Xbox menu and in demo games, we had upgraded my sons subscription to Game Pass so he could have access to all games yet would not work in the actual game. Had numerous emails with Logitech who kept referring to upgrading which involved plugging in to laptop which I didn’t have. Went to the store I purchased it from, to which the manager was rude and told me it was my responsibility to check compatibility, I think the fact I was using on Xbox s and the games he wanted to play were listed as compatible I had done what I could, he tested the Xbox in store which worked so it was not faulty, the ... MoreDon’t usually leave reviews but after purchasing this for my sons Christmas present and not being able to use it until 10pm on 27.12.22 I thought I would! Went home feeling really disappointed that £200 had been spent and still it was no use! Numerous hours searching forums etc still no luck, decided to download from the cloud on games pass a smaller GB game that was compatible with the wheel and BOOM it worked, so downloaded forza 5 and BOOM it worked! So basically don’t expect to use the wheel using games on the cloud! No-one could tell me this!!
