If you know me you know I've streamed on YouTube, twitch, kick, and even Facebook live and have used a plethora of webcams over the years and the one brand I always come back to is Logitech and for good reason. Logitech is the best webcam manufacturer out there bar none. Admittedly this cam does have its flaws including being at 720p which considering it's 2023 shouldn't be a resolution for even budget webcams and it has some issues with dark and color accuracy. That being said even with the aforementioned issues it works well both on pc and my Xbox Series S. I absolutely love this webcam, also for whatever reason my cats don't want to touch the cables which is also a win because my cats love chewing wires so that they don't want to eat this is a massive dub.

I've been using the Logitech C270 Webcam for my online meetings and video calls, and it has been a brilliant addition to my home office setup. The image quality is impressive for a webcam in this price range, delivering clear 720p HD video. These C270 webcams have a flaw where the surface mounted image sensor becomes detached from the circuit board from heat over time. Once this happens, the screen is white (no image). You can tighten the bezel inside over the sensor to buy some time, but once this happens, there is no way to fix it concretely unless you have a surface mount soldering station, which virtually no one will. So, beware. This is a planned obsolescence product with a short timeline of a year or two of heavy use. Google reddit for it. There are plenty of cases out there.
I bought this webcam for online meetings. The picture quality is decent, and the microphone sounds good. Connecting the webcam is quick and easy. I only had to plug it in and I can use the webcam immediately. It can be placed easily on top of a monitor or laptop screen and it is very sturdy and stays in place. The quality and material of the webcam itself is great.While it's good for general video calls, the webcam does not really have an autofocus function when I place an object in front of the webcam or when I show documents close to the table.Overall, I think this is a great webcam for the price for meetings or online classes.
I've bought it for $20 in a deal, so I thought it's definitely worth the price. Well it is kind of, but there are issues with my camera everytime I turn off and turn on my laptop.I use this as my mic rather than my laptop's in built, and everytime I talk in the meetings, the mic and camera won't work until I replug the USB power for the camera. It once suddenly stopped working, and I had to replace it with a new one (claimed the warranty)And a very few times, I had told by the other person in the meeting that they are hearing a very disturbing ticking sound continuously and repeatedly, but there's nothing on my end that is making that noise.Also it's a little bulgy and covers a little part of my screen on the top. Just what I needed and at a sale price. I have had problmes with some webcams as of late. They were of a higher resoltuion than this camera, but the higher resolution requires more lighting or the image appears grainy. These cameras have a rather small photo active surface. So the more pixels you have on that surface the less light each pixel receives. So a 720 is a good trade off. Picture still looks sharp and is not dark or grainy. People on the other end of the connection notice a well. They now ask about pictures on the wall behind me, which were not noticed with 1080 and 1440 webcams.
