Excellent Compact Wireless Combo

I have enjoyed using the Logitech Pebble 2 Combo (Keyboard and Mouse) over the past week on a variety of devices. The keyboard is dark gray with primarily lighter gray keys with white lettering. It is compact sitting at 11 inches wide, 5.25 inches deep and about 3/8 inches at the tallest. It uses 2 AAA batteries that are included and are advertised to last three years. There is a sliding power toggle on/off located on the left side. It is a QWERTY style board with 12 function keys across the top and no ten key. The keys have a rounded design of either circles or ovals, and is practically silent to use unless your fingers really pound down on the keys. It can use Bluetooth or the included Logi Bolt USB receiver to connect to devices. The keyboard has 3 white buttons across the top that allows quick switching to other paired devices. The mouse is also compact and is shaped like an oval. It is about 4.5 inches long, 2 3/8 inches wide, and about an inch tall. It is the same dark gray as the keyboard except for a lighter 'logi' logo on top. It uses a single AA battery which is accessed by taking the top half of the mouse off. The Logi Bolt USB receiver is housed in there, too, and can be removed. The battery is advertised to last 2 years. The scroll wheel is smooth to the touch with a fairly light scroll bump indicator. The width of the scroll wheel is quite nice; it is wider than the scroll wheel of any other mouse I have but is located in such a way that it never gets in the way. Clicking the mouse is silent with slight resistance. It glides very nicely. There is a sliding power on/off toggle on the bottom and a push button which allows quick changing between three paired devices. I paired both the keyboard and mouse with my personal computer and my Steam Deck. For my computer, I used the Bolt receiver and for the Steam Deck I used Bluetooth. Once paired, I was able to assign my computer as Device 1 and the Steam Deck as Device 2 and use the white quick connect buttons to move between devices easily and flawlessly. There is optional software, Logi Options+, that allows some customization of the Function keys and firmware updates. There is no backlighting on the keyboard, and no RGB on either unit. I would say I have large hands and I was impressed with how easy it was to type. I held the Logi keyboard above my normal keyboard and the space from the left edge of the left-most keys to the right edge of the right-most keys is only half an inch shorter. The keys on the Logi keyboard are barely raised above the bezel so if you're used to key travel it can take some getting used to how little there is to push down to type. There are no legs but is slightly taller in the back and slants down at a slight angle which I appreciated. The mouse sits just slightly taller in the palm area but fit pretty well into my hands. There is not much click travel down for either left or right clicks. I was impressed that it worked with the Steam Deck. You could use the Logi Pebble 2 combo for any purpose but the compact size, portability, and quick connection really lend it to being used on the go or at least in alternative locations. As my Steam Deck docks to my living room TV, it is very convenient and inconspicuous to keep the combo on the coffee table in case they are needed. But it could easily be used for business and coffee shop meetings as it has that no frills look and understandably so. I typed with it quite easily and the mouse is perfect. I thought I would find some flaw in the design or limitation in usage, but the only thing I can say is that you can't use it in the dark. I would recommend the Logitech Pebble 2 combo wireless keyboard and mouse for all uses, all locations, and for any hand size.

Good on the go solution

A sweet spot solution when you need a keyboard and mouse on the go.I don't see this as something to use instead of a laptop or desktop keyboard although the form factor of the mouse is ideal for tossing in a backpack. The compact nature of the keyboard however would make me lean more towards using a standard laptop or desktop keyboard. If using for a desktop it there are probably better solutions out there... including many from Logitech. However if you only want to invests in a single keyboard/mouse combo then you could do much much worse than this economy offering by Logitech.What I would use this keyboard for is a great solution for tablets and smartphones. With the ability to pair to 3 different devices it's perfect for my use because I have an iPhone for my personal phone, an Android phone for work and an Android tablet. 3 devices and I can use the same keyboard and mouse!The combo does come with a 2.4mHz transmitter/receiver to connect to a USB-A port on your laptop or desktop. I haven't checked to see if that still counts towards your 3 device connectivity. The little adapter resides in the mouse next to the battery. A quick pop of the mouse cover and everything is neatly stowed away.Once you pair with up to 3 devices it's really easy to switch between them with the quick select keys (F1, F2, F3). I did have issues with pairing and finally found by accident the method to reset the keyboard so it would take pairing mode. To reset the keyboard press Esc and letter O, and then Esc and letter O, and then Esc and letter B. Info may be in the manual but who looks at a manual when you have Youtube videos :)The Logi Options+ software has some slick macros pre-loaded and you can create your own on the fly. By programming a "trigger" Options will load applications, like go to your email, start up Youtube or your favorite music app, or at work you may have a trigger open up Outlook and Teams and a spreadsheet. Pretty slick and have usually been done with macro software however Options+ makes it really easy to do so.The keyboard takes 2 AAA batteries while the M350s has a single AA battery... hmmm... why not the same? I know AA is pretty standard for wireless mice and the keyboard uses AAAs to keep the thickness down. It would have been more convenient to have them the same size battery so you don't need to lug around different size batteries.This actually might be a great solution for college or high school students that are space limited but need a solid performing input combo. It's small enough to toss in a backpack for on the go folks, especially if you are using a tablet. Some of the tablet keyboards can be pretty pricey so this combo would be a great fit.All in all the perfomance is good, the size is great for on the go and the Logi Options+ app adds a lot of convenience for PC (and assuming the Mac). I don't see Options+ for Android so maybe Logitech can make that happen.

I liked the keystroke and the circular slightly concave keys. The keyboard is very comfortable to type with, but it is a little small, small enough that I have to think to type. I have a few different laptops and only my 13" has a smaller keyboard than this. If you use a full size keyboard with any regularity I think you will notice the awkwardness of the smaller size. It is very responsive and smooth but ultimately I couldn't use it because it was just uncomfortable. For a compact mouse I still prefer vairiations on the logitech M317.Both mouse and keyboard feel premium, and its great to know that there is recycled materials in them.Ultimately I probably won't use the mouse owing to the discomfort but the keyboard has two great uses: use with pads or other tablets where its allows for faster typing and has more functionality than the on screen keys and for connecting to a smart tv to make it easier to find your favorite shows on streaming apps or reentering all the passwords.To sum up: they keyboard is comfortable, if small, and has great uses just not with laptops: forget about the mouse logitech has lots of better options.

Unfortunately, they're not compatible with each other, so you can't pair a "Unifying Receiver" device to a "Bolt" receiver or vice versa.## SummaryIf you're a hybrid worker who would like to transport their own keyboard and mouse between the office and home, and you want something that is compact and easy to pack, the Pebble 2 combo from Logitech should fit the bill. Just be aware that if you'll be switching between devices, you'll need to press the Easy Switch button on both the keyboard and mouse.

The biggest issue I have with it is its very small size and extremely low profile. It has the lowest profile of any mouse I’ve ever wrapped my hand around. The M350s wireless mouse does not fit the hand of an adult very well. I have to butt the back of the mouse up against the heel of my palm and then scrunch my fingers up just to click the mouse keys. To me, it seems like the M350s mouse is sized for a small child, definitely not an adult male. After trying to use it for a while I found it cramped my fingers.Another negative is it takes quite a bit more finger pressure to click the mouse keys than my other Logitech mice. When used for a long time this gets fatiguing on the fingers.One final negative comment about the mouse is that it is noisy on a metal mouse pad with a gaming control surface. I have other Logitech mice that slide very quietly on Best Buy’s metal gaming mouse pad. It looks like the sliders under the M350s are made from a different compound which is astoundingly noisy when the mouse is being moved around on the mouse pad. Very irritating to the ears after even just a few minutes of use.I was able to pair the mouse via Bluetooth to my Apple iPad Pro and my Dell Win 11 laptop. I was also able to connect it via the Logi Bolt dongle to my Win 10 desktop computer. I was then able to easily switch back and forth between the three devices using the button on the underside of the mouse.My use of the Logitech Pebble Keys 2 K380s Wireless Keyboard left me with a more favorable impression than the mouse. I was able to pair it via Bluetooth to my Apple iPad Pro and my Dell Win 11 laptop. I was also able to connect it via the Logi Bolt dongle to my Win 10 desktop computer. It was kind of interesting to be able to press a button and switch between three different devices.I quickly found that this is not a suitable keyboard for an Apple iPad as it lacks several of the necessary keys peculiar to an iPad. This was disappointing because I had hoped to use this keyboard with my iPad Pro. It is possible that I may be missing something and will have to do more research pertaining to using this keyboard with an iPad.If you are accustomed to using a full-size keyboard to run your desktop computer or larger laptop, then you will probably be frustrated by the much smaller size and key layout of the K380s keyboard. I’ve only used it for about a week but so far have yet to feel comfortable with it. I doubt that it will ever become the preferred keyboard for any of my tablet, laptop, and desktop devices.However, for someone who uses their smartphone as their main computing device for longer correspondence or document creation, will undoubtedly find this keyboard to be a welcome change from doing all their typing on a phone keypad. In that case it would be money well spent.Kudos to the Logitech engineers for designing the four nonslip rubber feet on the bottom of the keyboard. They work well and it doesn’t appear that they will ever fall off. I absolutely hate it when rubber feet fall off of the bottom of electronic devices and small kitchen appliances.Overall, I found the Logitech Pebble 2 Combo to be a well-made keyboard and mouse package suitable for a select demographic. It is not for everyone and is not suitable for all computing scenarios. If you’re not sure, then it would be best for you to check out this keyboard/mouse combo in-store where you can touch it and evaluate it for yourself. Each person would have to decide whether the smaller size of the keyboard and mouse is appropriate for them and their computing purposes. If you find it is suitable for you, then the build quality of the keyboard and mouse will not disappoint you. The keyboard and mouse are very well-made, especially considering their very reasonable price.

Now, however, I can leave this keyboard and mouse on the desk top, click a button on the keyboard and one on the mouse, and, voila, the keyboard and the mouse are ready to go on the next machine.It takes a second to figure out how it is going to work. Logtiech includes a little diagram inside the box that explains the procedure for setting up the multipoint and the logi-bolt. Honestly, a few more words might be nice. But, it does work and the Bluetooth switching is pretty simple, though again, a couple words in addition to a very minimal set of diagrams would help. Be aware, however, that the mouse and the keyboard are separate devices. So, I accidentally have one computer that sees the keyboard as device 1 and the mouse on its device 2 setting; and I have one computer that sees the keyboard as device 2 and the mouse on its device 1 setting. This is not a big deal, but it’s a little goofy on my part not to have them synced. Also, the little button on the back of the mouse (for switching between machines) is *VERY* small and it can be a little tricky to tap it just right. That’s especially because of the size and shape of the mouse, in my opinion, but it would never be perfect given the constraints of the size of the mouse and the need to keep the button from interfering with anything else.I LOVE that this keyboard works with mac and with pc and has the right keys and setup to make those both work properly. It's great not to have to “make do” with a keyboard that doesn’t quite work 100% with one of the machines. While it’s just a little alpha keyboard (no number pad), it works perfectly for the mac with the special command keys, and it works perfectly for the pc, switching to the standard windows functions for the special keys next to the spacebar. To me, these features really enhance my ability to get my work done as I split my emphasis between the two machines. It’s very easy to move the keyboard to wherever you need it to be and to get on the right Bluetooth page with the machine in question. I think this would work reasonably well as a travel keyboard, although it is fairly heavy for its size.Why only 4 stars? Because whether one loves or hates this setup may well depend on the feel and honestly, individual preferences of the user. While I like the feel and the action of the keys on the keyboard, and I have gotten pretty used to their size and shape after a few days, this is definitely a small keyboard and room is pretty tight. Someone with bigger hands than mine really might feel cramped. That seems odd to say, because side by side, the keyboard is really about the same as a 13” laptop keyboard. However, it does feel to me more cramped. When typing away, my thumbs are touching at the space bar. While this happens on my regular laptop keyboard too, I think I’m much more conscious of it while using the pebble keys. That might be because the pebbles have a little less area themselves, so maybe my fingers/hands are staying more in the same place. I don’t know. Maybe it’s just a mental thing—I think the keyboard is smaller so it feels smaller. Regardless, the shape and feel of the pebbles is great, and because they are isolated from each other, I think I am a more accurate typist using this keyboard. So—that said, for what it’s supposed to do, it works extremely well and has really good action on the keys.Full disclosure: I am not a fan of the mouse shape, either. This again is going to be about personal preference—this is a very compact, light, sensitive mouse. It does not cradle to your hand the way a standard mouse does, and it’s much smaller than some of the newer, side-oriented ergonomic mice. I have both a standard mouse and an ergo mouse, and I would probably choose either over the pebble if I could. However, it is a good, basic mouse and would probably work well for folks with quite small hands. It's also smaller and very portable because it's so light, thin, and unshaped. I also find it just a little slippery. It’s incredibly light, and that’s quite nice. But, because it doesn’t really fill your hand, I find that my third fourth and fifth fingers (ring and pinky finger) are just always sliding off the side of the mouse and feel like they are awkwardly dragging along.Bottom line: for the money, this is a really good setup. It might not be what one wants to work on all the time and in every situation for the aesthetics I mentioned. But it has great functionality and really solved a problem for me in making it very easy to go back and forth between my machines without have to hook or unhook bits of hardware.

The buttons on both devices are very absorbent and really make little to no sound while in use.Both devices are highly customizable using the Logi Options+ software. The software allows you to update the firmware of each of them. For the mouse, you can change the button actions including what happens when you press the scroller. For the keyboard, there are several buttons dedicated to various actions such as screen capture, dictation, play, pause, volumes, etc. The one other item within the software that comes in very handy are the smart actions. You can configure a specific button to trigger a set of actions, i.e., mute a zoom call, stop your camera, and change a status message to “Be Right Back” all at once or open certain applications in a specific order and other quick activities that you may do every day but in separate clicks or actions.Really good mouse and keyboard combo that you can really use anywhere.

The keys are round and are not square as traditional keyboards, but that doesn’t impact my typing with the Logitech keyboard. The keyboard has all the usual keys that a standard keyboard would have, minus the number keypad to the right side of the keyboard. The size is that of a standard 13” laptop keyboard, though my fingers sit comfortably on the keys and the f and J keys have the usual dimple to locate the proper position for your hands.When you download the Logitech windows app you can really dive into configuring your keyboard and mouse. On the keyboard you can manage your function button, wireless connectivity between devices and create short cuts for frequently used commands or apps. There is so much that you can configure on this keyboard, it is amazing.The Mouse fits nicely in my hand and is very configurable as well. Like the keyboard, the mouse can be connected to three different devices and the three buttons and scroll wheel can be configured to command different functions or launch applications.The Pebble 2 Combo is an excellent addition to anyone looking for a versatile keyboard that can be used with a variety of devices!

Very Portable, Great Battery, a Bit Small for me

I mostly work from home but occasionally I will travel to my local site or other sites to have in person meetings or participate in projects within my company. Also I use mainly a company laptop, but also tote my personal laptop and an iPad for quick notes, entertainment, and taking calls. What’s great is having a portable keyboard that works with them all just by pushing a button on the mouse and keyboard.What’s great about each of these is the size. You can throw these into a backpack or bag. They’re very slender and portable. They keyboard is tapered and without a number pad or any other non-necessary keys, it doesn’t take up much room lengthwise either. The keys being rounded doesn’t really change how I type and they still managed to get some additional functionality out of the keyboard by including secondary functions such as screenshots, volume control, and a search button.Also, I don’t have to mess with adapters or cables. Each device can connect up to 2 devices blue tooth and one device with an adapter. The adapter uses Logitech’s newer Bolt technology which advertises lower latency and higher compatibility. Based on the Bluetooth standard, the connection is encrypted so no chance someone is going to snag your keystrokes over the Bluetooth connection. The adapter can be kept under the mouse cover which is also used to access the battery.Each device does operate on disposable batteries. The keyboard uses two AAA batteries while the mouse uses a single AA battery. Even though there’s not a way to recharge them through the device, I recommend getting rechargeable AA and AAA batteries. I’m not sure how long you’ll have to wait to need them as it advertises 3 years of life on the keyboard and 2 years on the mouse. I think that pairs well with the portability of the device in that you don’t need to worry about taking additional cables with you and it’s not hard to find a battery when you need it as most hotels and gas stations carry them.The mouse has a slim design as well and is mostly flat, tapering from larger to smaller starting at the palm. It’s quite a bit small for my hands. I find that my fingers drag on the mouse pad and if I want my fingers on the clicker, I have to make a claw shape with my hand. It has nice drag with an on/off switch and mode button on the bottom that are both easy to get to and use. The cover pops off easily and is held in place magnetically. The cover also serves as the finger rests for the left and right click so don’t lose it, or you won’t be able to use the mouse properly.Overall this will be handy for travel and using with multiple devices. I would say that it is a bit subjective as whether or not you’ll find it comfortable to use. The keyboard being a bit smaller and the mouse being on the flat side, ergonomically it gets uncomfortable using after a while. I would have reservations about using this as my daily driver for that reason, but if you have smaller hands, you may find this is a non issue for you.
