I decided to go for a top-of-the-line mouse since I spend so much time with one in my hand. This one is extremely comfortable -- probably the most comfortable one I've ever used. The real magic comes with the Logitech software. When used with this mouse you can customize EVERY button to function however you want. Additionally you can program each button to have a different function depending on the current software you are using. All these buttons also have tactile feeling. Perfect mouse for productivity. Go for it.

Let me tell you, I’ve used quite a bit of different mouses in my time working in the corporate world. I haven’t found the right one till now! It is amazing. The grip is super comfortable especially for someone with small hands like myself. I do not get fatigue wrist when I use this mouse for 8+ hours workday. The battery life can last relatively long as long as each use you turn off the mouse in the back of the device. Check it out if you need an ergonomic desk accessories.

I use this at work as a Receptionist/Admin and I do a lot of typing. This mouse is absolutely fantastic and the battery life is great- I only need to charge it about once every 3 weeks, and the grip is so comfortable and the mouse glides effortlessly over my mouse pad. We were looking for comfortable mouse products for the whole office, and since I bought mine, at least 6 others have too. I first thought it may be too big for my hand, but its so comfortable now- I wouldn't want to use any other model! There are so many customizable buttons on the top and left side, although I haven't had a need to program these yet. The Logitech MX Master 2S seemed to have it all. All the YouTube guys said it was the best mouse they had ever used. It was reviewed very highly, and I was just waiting for the price to come down so that I, too, could experience this excellent mouse when writing code, editing a video, or treading through a long Excel spreadsheet. So, when the price came down to $65, I bought it without a second thought. When I got home, I was excited to plug it in and try it out. So, when the price came down to $65, I bought it without a second thought. When I got home, I was excited to plug it in and try it out. After all, this mouse was rumored to be the best mouse Logitech made, and as a long-time user of Logitech peripherals, I was confident I would be more-than-satisfied with my purchase. This, unfortunately, was the peak of my excitement. After plugging it in, I installed the recommended Logitech Options software and programmed the buttons of the mouse to perform the functions I desired, specifically having the button beneath the thumb-rest to do a simple "show desktop".Then, it was time to test out the mouse. When it comes to the barebones functionality of it actually doing what it is supposed to do, this mouse checks all the boxes; my complaints, however, begin with the scroll wheel. This mouse has two settings for the scroll wheel, a traditional "ratchet" mode where you feel the simulated scroll through haptic feedback, and a freespin mode that allows the scroll wheel to scroll without any friction/feedback. The freespin mode seemed hard to use, as it never seemed to stop scrolling on the screen exactly when I stopped moving the wheel; therefore, I shifted to the ratchet mode, and overall, it seemed okay. The problem about the "overscrolling" however, still seemed to exist, as it always seemed to scroll a little bit further than I intended to (and no, it's not a software setting that I can fix). The second problem with this mouse is the positioning of the back/forward buttons. It is downright difficult to press the right button (especially if you have larger hands), as they are positioned on top of each other, instead of one being placed in front of the other (like all other mice I've used). This, however, is done because the all-important horizontal scroll wheel is placed directly in front of these buttons. And while I was expecting to use the horizontal scroll in Excel spreadsheets that expand horizontally instead of vertically, it seems like I can't make it actually scroll horizontally in Excel (this, may be a software issue that I could fix, but I haven't found that setting yet if it exists). So, as of now, it is useless to me, even though it was one of the biggest reasons I wanted the mouse to begin with. So, did I return it? No, I didn't, because I think I can make myself get used to its quirks, and if I can get the horizontal scroll to work right, it would be useful to me during video editing and horizontal scrolling on Excel spreadsheets. But, should you buy it? Absolutely not. Get the $20 Logitech mouse instead, because it is infinitely better overall and you won't regret your purchase. If I had paid $100 for this mouse, it would be going back to my local Best Buy store, but for $65, I'll keep it as a reminder that the guys on YouTube aren't always right, and that just because something is expensive doesn't make it better than the moderately-priced alternative.
Long battery life. 3x presets for bluetooth connection (great when moving from desktop to laptop on the go -- no more waiting to pairCan track on any surface. Ergonomic. I'm an editor, and switching from the magic mouse to this was a nice upgrade. The thumb side-scrolling wheel is wonderful when working in NLE's or other programs where horizontal scrolling is convenient. The mouse wheels are nicely weighted as well, and click in each selection -- so when shifting thru font or blending mode selections, you can be precise.
I've always used Logitech mice on my work computers and were happy with them, my latest one was Performance Mouse MX and I thought it's the ideal. When I've got this brand new MX Master 2S I realized it's a significant improvement! It feels very nicely in hand, I don't get tired after a whole workday with it. Tracking speed is perfect - mouse reacts to the slightest movement on any surface I've tried it on, including a glass table.Controls: 2 buttons on top for left/right click, wheel between them which acts like a middle button too, in addition to that - wheel has 2 modes - "free fly" is when you spin it - it will continue spinning (and scrolling) until you stop it is very handy for the long documents when you need to scroll fast, and the second mode - is when ... In the "click mode" - you could still spin the wheel real hard and it will continue spinning until you stop it by hand, and then switch back into the "click" mode. That makes switching between modes very easy.Left side of the mouse had horizontal scroll wheel which is handy while working with the wide documents (drawings, diagrams, large excel sheets), forward/back buttons for the easy browser navigation and an extra "gesture" button just under the thumb - holding that button and moving mouse in a certain direction would be considered as a "gesture" allowing you to have 4 extra actions to assign. For example - holding the gesture button and moving the mouse down - minimize all windows (show desktop). This makes mouse extremely functional!Connections - mouse would work with either PC or Mac and it's capable of using Logitech's Unifying receiver OR just the bluetooth connectivity. If you already have a Logitech keyborad for example - using Unifying receiver technology is a no brainer, but if you don't like a little USB dongle occupying a port on your laptop - bluetooth connectivity works about the same. This mouse is capable of pairing to 3 different receivers and there is a button at the bottom of the mouse to select the computer you need.Software - the new MX Master 2S mouse does not work with the SetPoint software that I used to but requires a brand new "Logitech Options" software to support all functions. You can certainly use it with no software at all - just as a basic mouse with the wheel.Couple negative points: battery inside of the mouse is not user replaceable, so when it dies (when it's unable to hold the charge anymore) - you would be stuck with using your mouse as "corded" or just replace the whole thing. Another minor thing - top buttons of the mouse seem to click real loud. Louder than any other mouse I had before.Overall - it's an ideal choice for me, feels great, allows me to do a lot more than just a regular mouse.
I got my first (and still functioning!) MX Master 2S when it first came out. I continue to love it. Back then it was $80-99. Now that the 3 has been released, the 2S can be had for half the price, but it's still an amazing mouse. While I would like to compare them side-by-side I can't imagine the 3 being more than an iterative improvement (if that). Now is definitely the time to pick up a 2S. Tons of speed and response, a nice heavy weight, high DPI... Tons of accuracy, response, and intuitive feedback. The ratcheting lock/free scroll is genius. Works great for productivity and gaming. Rechargeable AND it continues to work WHILE it's charging. There's really no downside and now for a much cheaper price. Do it.
The Logitech MX Master 2S is a wireless mouse that is a bit pricier but its features set makes it a joy to use for extended time. I used the options control panel for the Logitech mouse to hone in on my perfet settings which produced a mouse that tracked quickly, precisely and smoothly over any surface. The mouse wakes from sleep instantly and gives you a visual battery level via 3 green LEDs on the left side.Speaking of battery life, supposedly you get 70 days but unable to test that but so far using continuously for about 7 days, 4-6 hours a day and all 3 LED still lit. There is a micro-USB port on the front of the mouse to plug in the included USB cable, which lets you recharge while using it. The mouse is connectable by Bluetooth or via USB nano receiver. I connected via the USB nano receiver. The mouse features seven buttons (left, right, center, back, forward, gesture, and scroll mode shift) and two scroll wheels, and they work the same way. Each of the buttons is adjustable for functions including left click, volume control, brightness control, and zoom, among others. You can click the gesture button under your thumb, hold it, and move the mouse up, down, left, or right for additional commands. You can switch the default via the Logitech Options app. I found using the mouse became second nature after tweaking the Logitech Options control panel to adjust the scrolling and mouse behavior to settings that suited me.A button on the bottom of the mouse lets you pair with and switch between a combination of up to three Bluetooth computers or Logitech USB receivers. But when it comes to using the mouse on multiple computers it is smart to install the free Logitech Options software. You install the software on each machine, then set up the Logitech Flow feature. Once installed, you'll be able to switch control between the computers just by moving the cursor between the screens, as long as all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network. Just like if you had two or more displays connected side by side to one PC, if you move the cursor through the right side of one screen to the other, the cursor control will pass to the PC or Mac to the right.Again, as long as all computers are connected on the same network, you can copy text or files from one machine, move the cursor over to another, and paste them. File transfer can take some time if the size is large but much quicker than using a USB drive, relaying over a network drive or emailing it to yourself. The Logitech MX Master 2S is the perfect mouse for anyone who uses multiple computers on the same desk. It is comfortable to use all day, is responsive, seems to have a long battery life with quick charge ability. Connectivity is a snap. The Logitech Flow is a killer app and enables you to become more productive as you copy and paste from one computer to another on the fly.

The reviews that I read were correct in warning that this device is a bit heavy and at times tiring.I have no regrets, the MX Master 3S is a great mouse for my use. If I were moving this thing more continually all day long, I do believe that the weight would be a problem for me.In comparison, the weight of the Mocrosift mentioned above was perfect. It seemed almost weightless in use. But...fewer controls and...you know...the cord thing.

The scroll wheel in the middle is one of the standout features. As a Software Developer I spend a lot of time trawling through large log files looking for errors and issues and having the freewheel speed scroll feature makes life a lot easier. When the freewheel is slows down it locks back in to place itself. Directly behind the wheel is a Mode shift button which allows it to change between the click and freewheel mode. There are two additional triangular shaped buttons on the side of the Master 2S which are very easy to use despite being quite small and close to each other. By default, they work as forward and back buttons in most Web Browsers. There is an additional side scroll wheel beside these buttons which lets you side scroll by default if there is content which extends past your display. It claims to have a 70-day battery life between charges which means you won't have worry about it going dead in the middle of a game or when working. It has a micro-USB charging cable which is nice so you don't have to worry about replacing batteries. You can also use the mouse while charging it on the cable which is a very handy feature.Usually I would use a mouse mat due to working on shiny desks, but this mouse seems to have no problem with that which is due to the Darkfield sensor technology built in.There are some additional features which are quite cool such as Logitech Flow which allowed me to share the mouse between my laptop and desktop and even copy and paste files from one to the other. The buttons on the Master 2S can also be customised and profiles set up for different applications so you can have the buttons do different things depending on what application you have open.I think the Master 2S is one of the best mice I have ever used, and the ergonomic design means that you can use it comfortably for long periods of time. With a long battery life and a high precision sensor it can be used for a wide range of activities from gaming, drawing/design and day-to-day work.
