Great webcam, owned for about 6 months so far - HD with decent FPS for the price range. Performs effectively the same functions (excluding a few) to the C922, but is more cost effective. The microphone is decent quality - perfectly fine to use for work meetings.Minor issue (that might be specific to my device) is that occasionally when restarting my computer, it doesn't recognize the webcam. If this happens to you, all you need to do it take the USB out and plug it back in - takes about 10 seconds. Other than that I have encountered no issues.

My camera looks identical to the one in the photo except it does not have the writing "Carl Zeiss Lens" on it. The model I have and that you're buying today is the C930e. It does not have a Carl Zeiss lens. It is not 15 megapixels. It does not have an optical zoom. It's build quality is excellent and it sits very securely and at a nice height on my 24" monitor. It has full HD 1080p at 30 FPS. It is rated at 2 megapixels. It has a 90 degree field of view (most personal webcams are 70 degrees). It has two omnidirectional microphones. With a slightly larger field of view, it can be used as either a personal web cam with more capture area or for a small group of people in a conference room. What I liked best is its true color matching overall, especially skin tones of the immediate subject - that sold it for me. What also sold it for me is that it has two omnidirectional microphones which produce better, clearer, and truer audio quality. On recordings, my voice is picked up better and sounds louder and clearer. For these tests, I put both cameras in an identical position and with the same mic level. I only use it as a personal webcam for videoconferencing currently. It comes in the box with a privacy shutter and instructions. It is completely plug and play, but you can find site firmware updates and software downloads on the Logitech web site. This includes a proprietary Logitech software which you can use to pan, tilt, and zoom - just know it is somewhat system resource intensive and might slow your video if your system is older. Otherwise, I just use Skype zoom settings and switch between other videoconferencing programs that don't have zoom controls to narrow the field of view. It was a close call and I could've gone for either camera, but opted to choose this one due to its truer color matching for skin tones, overall image, and better audio quality.

Excellent for zoom calls
12 August 2023

I purchased my Logitech C930s Pro HD on July 8th, 2023. That afternoon I connected my c390 to my PC with windows 10 installed on it. Windows 10 found the drivers instantly. This camera works with the zoom windows app flawlessly. I like the two light bars on either side of the Lens. These light bars give just enough light to illuminate your face with while on a zoom call. I have one complaint that may or may not be a Logitech issue. The sound is not loud enough in Google voice, but zoom it just fine. This is likely just a setting in the windows sound mixer.

Good for beginner streamers!
18 August 2023

I bought this camera for streaming purposes. The good thing is it connects right to your xbox or playstation and you can stream directly from console, i’m also assuming if you’re streaming from your console you’re on a budget. this camera is extremely budget but i will honest the quality is pretty grainy. ive seen way worse cameras but this is definitely a camera to be used in really good lighting. the darker the room the worse the camera quality is. Also the USB cord attached to it isnt that long. OVERALL ITS GOOD IF YOU ARE ON A BUDGET! as someone who knows 0 about technology, this was the easiest set up i literally plugged it right into my xbox and started my stream.

I'm rating this on the understanding that a clip-on web camera (and it's microphone) have a certain expectation of good quality, but not studio quality.Video is very good, although if you're Zooming in the early morning hours when it's still dark outside, you might need to add some 5K-6K color lighting to look good, even though the spec sheet for this says good in low-lighting. It's certainly better than your laptop's built-in camera, but CMOS sensors still need light.I've tried most Logitech cameras now, and this is so much better then the cheaper C270 (& similar C505), although the video quality is similar to the C920 and C925e. This has auto-focus, 90 degree range of view, 4x digital zoom, and two microphones. In actual use, it may or may not be for your case, and only you can decide if the extra zoom power or 90 degree field is something that justifies the extra expense. Frankly, I'm not sure, but it's nice to have this one now. Keep in mind, if you've set-up your background for the 78 degree field, changing to 90 degree will include more view, possibly requiring an adjustment to your room or green screen. Also, while the microphones on all of these C9xx are pretty good, a proper USB desk mike is so much better. It may make you feel like Larry King at first, but honestly the audio is night and day. If you're presenting or recording, get a proper microphone...your viewers will appreciate it, for both sound clarify, frequency response, and much less distortion. They also usually remove background noises better with a proper cardioid pattern. Still, if you're just joining a meeting from home, the built-in mic is quite adequate.

If you want a webcam that'll do the job well for years, get a C920.

Logitech has released follow-ups to the C920 in the last few years, but it's a tough model to improve upon. Unless you really need 4k capture, or 1080p @ 60 fps (C920 tops out at 1080p @ 30fps, or 720p @ 60 fps), this is about the best model out there from any manufacturer. Since C920's have been out for years, they can be had pretty cheap (new or used), and with a Windows machine they're plug-and-play. I have no experience with MacOS (nor do I ever hope to). I have 2 of these; one that is a Carl Zeiss model and one that's a standard C920. I've never compared them, but I can tell you both work great. Review of LOGITECH Pro C920 Full HD Webcam
22 November 2022

Good Points: Works as expected, nice weight and feel but still holds well onto my monitor. The cable is a sensible length. The camera quality and audio quality are perfectly good especially at the price point.Improvement Points: The Logitech "G-Hub" software is not great, it works ok for the camera but it's not much good for the other Logitech hardware I have (I have a wheel, a keyboard and a MX master mouse, all three require different software)The front face of the clip (holding the thing onto my monitor bezel) is a little large and if you have a very small bezel around your monitor, you will find that it covers a small amount of your screen. I solved this by putting a small bit of bluetak inside the monitor clip recess to pack the camera up slightly. B

Same As C922, With Wider FOV
18 August 2023

In use as a hand-view cam, since it has a pretty wide field of view. Costs you less than the C922, looks nicer, and retains the 720p60 / 1080p30 modes, with no visual difference in quality or color. Only issue is that it forgets the cam settings (focus, low-light mode) in OBS after restarting your PC, but it seems that all Logi cams do that, even the C922; not much of a big deal though. Make sure you set it up right in your streaming software (OBS, SLOBS) if you want to obtain the smooth framerates. There are plenty of tutorials on YT for that. Overall, an excellent webcam choice for streamers and all, with a long cord and very smooth FPS rate.

Still Sets a High Bar for Quality in 2021

Recently, we bought the C920 for me, and moved our older C910 to the GF's laptop so she can do telemedicine video calls with a clearer image and better color than her laptop's built-in webcam. Been testing the C920 on my ACER laptop (with an Intel Core i5 dual-core cpu) and on our main PC (with an Intel Core i5 quad-core cpu). Happy to report it works equally well on both. The camera seems to have a chip inside which processes the video in H.264 format, so your computer's processor doesn't have to work hard to handle it. Good lighting is always the way to go with any webcam, yet the C920 can produce very acceptable results with less than ideal lighting. The camera seems to have a chip inside which processes the video in H.264 format, so your computer's processor doesn't have to work hard to handle it. Good lighting is always the way to go with any webcam, yet the C920 can produce very acceptable results with less than ideal lighting. HINT: Set the background on your monitor screen to use it for lighting. In Windows, right-click on an empty area of the screen and select "Personalize". In the new window select "Solid Color" and choose White or maybe amber if you want a warmer tint on your skin. Keep your video chat or other window fairly small so you're getting a lot of that screen lighting on your face. This is useful anytime, but especially at night, for example.Getting enough light on your face ensures that the webcam's auto-focus works properly. If you're sitting in poor light with a lamp somewhere behind you it makes auto-focus less effective. Remember, low light always reduces the webcam's frame rate so if you don't want jerky video put on some light!Regarding privacy, covering the lens is fine, but what about the microphones? If someone is hacking your camera they can still hear every word you say even if the lens is covered. There are a couple of options: 1. Unplug the webcam when it's not in use. 2. Disable the webcam and, separately, the microphone, in Device Manager.Just a word about Logitech's overall quality. Over the last 8 or 10 years we've owned a Quickcam Ultra Vision, a C270, a C525, and a C910. They're all still in good working order. Even the ancient little low-res ball shaped Quickcam still works. The point is Logitech quality is reliably good. The C910 has the Zeiss glass lens + stereo mics and produces high quality results in any decent lighting situation. The current C920 is very similar and uses H.264 format for quality and acceptable file size. The C920 also has a wider field of view. What about their Logitech Capture software app? It has all the usual adjustments plus picture-in-picture controls, chroma key, and more. Definitely worth a look if you're not quite ready for OBS or others. If you have a special need there are more expensive webcams that offer 60 frames-per-second or even 4K resolution (Logitech Brio springs to mind here). If that's you, be prepared to optimize your system with some pro-quality lighting, microphone, background, etc.Ultimately, Logitech C920 remains the most popular choice in high quality webcams even after eight years on the market. Time tested and approved.
