Comfort and stability Discover the fun and the benefits of riding with the Keo Classic 3 clipless pedal. Simple to use, it is impossible to adjustment the cleat entry/release tension too low for an easy clip out. Its large and wide contact surface provides excellent pedalling stability. Technologies Chromoly spindle for more reliability The Keo classic 3 spindle is made up of an oversized steel axle with miniature ball bearings (12 mm inside x 18 mm outside) and a needle bearing cartridge for improved wear resistance. A spacer is used to hold the needle bearing cartridge in place. A new method of fitting the spindle into the pedal body also ensures the prolonged reliability of our pedals. Look spindles are only approved after a rotational test of 2 million cycles at 100tr/min with a load of 90kg on the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (creating a shock on each rotation). Look axles are only approved after a rotational test of 2 million cycles at 100 rpm with a load of 90 kg on the centre of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (which creates stress on each revolution). This is equivalent to a sprint by andré greipel of 1700 watts at 100 rpm for 333 hours! This test is much more demanding than the current standard, the iso 4210.

Good budget pedals

The pedals are a great price and look good too particularly the colourful nature of the rear section. Nice to be able to customise to suit your bike. When they first arrived one spindle was a little tight so the pedal didnt have the regular swing of the other side but a bit of use should sort that. They feel like they will last, modern plastic is pretty durable but some of the finer details like the metal plate could be more refined. It sticks out the side of the pedal about 2 mm and i have already cut myself on it which hurt esp considering i was pushing the bike along a path. Would be better if it was flush with the body of the pedal like you would expect. Otherwise all good so far.

Good, not Great.

I bought these for a second bike I own, and after about 12 rides, have found they deliver wildly inconsistent release action, even with the tension screw set to the max (8 full turns clockwise). They seem to require a different degree of 'twist' every time I dis-engage. At first I thought it might be my due to slightly worn cleats, as I used my existing KEO cleats from my other bike, but even installing the cleats that came with the Look Keo Classic 3s, I found either it took too much effort to get out, or not enough and accidental releases were frequent.I also have the Look Keo 2 Max pedals which I have used for years on my primary bike. Great pedals for all cycling levels
10 July 2022

I'm fairly new to road cycling and have been using these pedals for about a month and really like them. Takes some practice when it comes to getting used to clipping in and clipping out, but they are easy to adjust the binding based on how much effort you prefer to unclip. They're been quite durable so far and I anticipate they will last me a long time! Would recommend, high quality product at an affordable price.

Great value for the best pedal system
19 March 2021

I only use LOOK Cycle Keo pedals in my bikes. I have a Keo Blade Carbon Ceramic TI installed on my Specialized S-Works Tarmac SL6 but when I was looking for pedals for my Specialized Allez E5 Elite, which is the bike I use for bad weather, winter and on the trainer, the LOOK Cycle Keo Classic was the perfect choice - it has the same system as its higher end version for a fraction of the price. I would say that it is the best choice for 99% of the bikes and amateur cyclists out there that just need a great system at a great price. 5 stars!

Look Peddles

I wanted to switch from Shimano SPD to something else on my road bike. All my friends used Looks. So, I ordered a set and found one at a reasonable price on Bay. Bought it, set it up and now using it. Works as expected.

Not the lightest, but functionnal
5 August 2022

Although still a lightweight pedal, it's obviously not the lighest. But for my superbe "parade" classic steel road bike, or your second steed, it's perfect. For what they are, you can't get any better: a lower mileage pedal pair. Why? because the contact surface is plastic and will wear out way before the bearing will. So be advised this is not the hardcore long lasting Look pedal. Look (!) for the metal contact surface models for the durability. Otherwise, as a second pair every one should have in the parts bin, or, in my case, on my second occasionnal ready to roll bike, it's perfect. Metal contact plate would give those a 5 stars.

The pedal that lasts
6 May 2023

I’ve used Look Keos for 15 years. They are comfortable with a big enough platform. The only caveat is that the plastic cleats for these pedals wear out in 800 miles . You’ll see little white wear indicator dots on the cleats when it’s time to replace them. At that point the cleat can crack off and your foot might slip off the pedal- can be hazardous . Also the plastic cleats are slippery to walk in . Still, I won’t use any other pedal than these.Learn to replace cleats yourself and you’ll be on your way.

Tremendous pedal upgrade - and help from Erik's!
3 August 2021

I came in to get replacement pedal clips for my shoes. This is an older design and no longer carried by Erik's. Told me that if I wanted those, where I could find them at a competitor. Discussed pros and cons of newer pedals - no sales pressure, just responsive information and help. Decided to purchase new road bike pedals and clips, and they told me how to install them. Great product and a noticeably better riding experience with these new and easier to click in/out pedals. Very pleased with the improved rising experience - and with the help I received.

Yes, They ARE great!
12 October 2021

These pedals ARE great, I've put a few thousand kilometers on them, bike-packing on rough gravel and road, daily cycling, and on indoor my trainer bike. I love them! They are holding up really well and clipping in and out is a breeze. They are also nice and light and can be used with regular shoes in a pinch without too much trouble. Buy them!
