L'Oreal Paris Elvive Bond Repair Conditioner 150ml

Okay so I don’t usually review but it is so beyond mid and whilst it is cheap, I actually don’t think it’s worth the price. I got this because it’s meant to be a dupe of the kerastase bond repair which I use at my salon. I’m bleached balayage, thick hair. This is not it. The conditioner barely coats my ends I feel like I have to use a substantial amount of the bottle- so unless you have short hair don’t bother or you’ll be flying through it. The shampoo smells really good to be fair but I have seen zero results. My hair doesn’t feel any smoother or less frizzy. If anything I’ve noticed it’s way greasier than usual. Usually my hair gets greasy anyways after 2-3 days. But with this it’s been after 1 day and so I’m almost out of the stuff. Take this as your sign to just get the olaplex/kerastase because I wish I had.

So some background… I’m 45, in perimenopause, have a toddler and a teenager and all of sudden my hair and skin are starting to reflect how exhausted I am inside. I have just below chin length, highlighted hair which until recently I thought was in good condition. A couple of weeks ago I’ve noticed that the top layer of my hair has literally snapped off to about 6 inches long. Other people can’t notice, but of course I do. So I’ve been looking for something reasonably priced to try and this popped up. I can say it has made a real difference to my hair, of course the broken bits are still broken but overall it looks in great condition. It looks fuller, healthier and this is only after 2 washes. So yes I 100% recommend. Go ahead and buy while it’s half price!

So my 16 year daughter who was blessed with daddy’s luscious French black hair and not my Nordic blonde hair fried her hair in an attempt to go blonde with various sessions of 30% bleach. The week before Christmas she came to me with handfuls of it falling out. Cue me doing a mega LF order including the L’Oréal bond repair kit, making lots of hot chocolate, providing lots of hugs and promising I’d do everything possible to make it ok. One day later the bundle arrives and we do the first session and see improvement immediately. Two weeks later and the improvement is remarkable! I did use Olaplex on her the first night she came to me, but she has used this L’Oréal On it ever since. She is also using grow gorgeous split end treatment as well.
