I have 9 cameras that have worked absolutely flawless for two years. One of the cameras took a side blast from a 12 gauge shotgun and still works like new. Tropical storm Hilary on the west coast took out 2 of my 720p cameras. I could only find 4k replacements for my system. I bought 1 to see if it would work with my old DVR. It provided a crisp and clear picture with a wider field of view. I ordered 6 more cameras and replaced all of my old external 720p cameras. Garage camera is 720p compared to backyard 4k camera.

I have several of these cameras and just added another one. So simple to install (other than the crazy crawling through my attic part), the connection and setup on my DVR was quick and the video quality was super good - which is what I needed for this location. I highly recommend.

The new 4K cameras provide a much clearer video for my surveillance system. I now can get a clear facial recording of intruders and visitors. When someone recently attempted a break-in of my vehicle, the police were not able to identify the perp from my 2K cameras.The cameras were a little more difficult to install than I anticipated and the mounting orientations were a little tricky because of limitations in the ability to rotate the cameras. Otherwise I would rate them 5 stars. My older 2K cameras had 3 mounting holes arranged in a triangular pattern. The new 4K cameras have 4 mounting holes arranged in a rectangular pattern. If the "slot" in the base could be rotated it would provide a much more flexible installation.
Wow, what more can I say. Not sure why the original camera stopped working, it was 1 of 6, after 4 years all the rest are still working fine. Called customer service because apparently they no longer make that particular camera, but I was helped in finding another compatible camera. It arrived in just a few days, plugged it in, and before I finished mounting it, it was broadcasting pictures live to my phone. Didn’t have to do anything else with the system. Very happy with both the product and the service.
Bought these since the older cameras that came with my system were discontinued and I needed more coverage. These worked with my DVR for about a week and after connecting the system to an Ethernet switch to provide the required power. Then, they just stopped providing video. The support on the website is trash. Next system will not be Lorex.
The cameras are wonderful, they are crystal clear and we are still installing the 5th camera on the garage. My Sons best friend is installing and it so far has taken a day and a half. We have our fence lines set up but need to do all the fine tuning on the rest of the settings. But we have had prowlers so being able to be alerted and see will be amazing. I will update when finished.
Camera works as expected. The incredible new technology is the smart detection. I enabled it for vehicles and people. Used the default settings and pointed it out my window. It appears to be very very accurate in detecting those objects. Very few false alarms. Now I can use notifications. Never did before because a leaf falling triggered motion recordings.
These cameras are pretty darn good. Great night vision too. One thing that must be done is to make sure that no moisture can get in the connector. They are water resistant but not waterproof. Every camera failure I've had over the past few years has been from moisture in the connector and I have tried many different ways to combat this issue. My cameras under the overhang of my roof have been problem free. I installed four of these on my property along with there 16ch nvr, I found these things have some weight to them and feel quite durable, strong mounts that hold well, I would throw out the mounting kit and pick up mounting hardware for your application as supplied mounting kit is cheap and not super useful.The supplied category 5e cables on these camaras do work but seem leave a bit to be desired in quality of cabling, that being said I don't think most people looking into an IP system are looking to use supplied cables anyways.Would recommend lorex ip camaras to anyone who wants steller video quality and for ease of future upgrades do to the ethernet based camara arnt going away anytime soon.
