I purchased this for my son but felt it wasn’t really user friendly when having to do overnight nappy changes. Because it zips at the front and doesn’t really go all the way down you have to pull the child’s legs out which causes them to wake more than usual. So I opted for another brand that zips on the side and causes less disruption for the child. Overall the fabric quality is fantastic and I would have continued to use if I didn’t find another alternative.

This is our swaddle of choice for nap time. My little one loves to sleep with his arms over his head and this allows him to do that without startling himself awake. The quality is impressive compared to other brands I have tried- the Jersey fabric is thick but stretchy, the zippers are good quality, and these fit in all of the right places so I am not at all concerned about the swaddle shifting and becoming a hazard. A boy who refuses naps, loves to nap in his Love to Dream! My little one is 6 weeks old and in the 97th percentile for height/length. We recently switched from the Stage 1 swaddle to this Stage 2.

My baby has always been an arms up sleeper. He hated traditional swaddles and constantly broke out of them. We started using the basic arms up swaddle but now we’re starting to roll over so we have transitioned to this one. So far so good! My baby is still sleeping well and I’m sleeping good knowing my baby is safe! Win win.

Great but not for tall skinny babies
26 February 2024

I love how easy it is to swaddle my baby in this. I bought the medium, but at now 2 months old, 5.3kg and 63cm long my baby doesn't fit the swaddle very well. She is outgrowing the length as the sack is surprisingly short, and it doesn't fit snug enough as she's still too skinny. I've only used the zip off option on the wing once as I'm now trying to quickly teach her to sleep with her arms out before she outgrows the swaddle completely, but she doesn't seem ready for the transition yet. It would be great if they came with a longer sack as buying the larger size won't work with her weight.

Hazard

The fabric of this transition sleep sack is great but the design is terrible. The area around my babies neck pushes back way too much and the further he lifts his arms the worse it gets. The arm area is also extremely small and doesn’t look comfortable at all. I personally don’t think these should be sold until this is fixed it’s dangerous.

Hello, I love the transition
20 September 2021

Hello,I love the transition bag and so does my baby. We have the sleeves still on as she's not quite rolling over yet. I do have one issue to pass on though- as many baby's do, my bub puts her hands in her mouth to settle herself when she's sleeping. Therefor after using the transition suit for about 3 weeks she has made holes where her hands are going in her mouth. So the past few nights she has woken up needing help due to her finger being though the hole and stuck, she's not able to pull it back inside the suit so she's waking up and is unsettled. My feedback is for the price point of the sleep suit, I would suggest reinforcing the hand section to prevent this. After speaking to other parents anecdotally I have heard that this is a common issue. In my instance I wont be buying any more transition suits due to my baby's age/development, the next suit I buy wont need the hands to be covered, so this issue wont effect me again. But I also cannot use my transition bags for any subsequent children as they will be too worn out and no longer functional.

Neck line pushes back into neck
5 April 2024

Trying to find the next alternative to a swaddle now my son can break out of those and is 4 months old but unfortunately I do not like this sleep sack. The neck area/zipper pushed into my baby’s neck. I have the correct size sack as my baby fits nicely inside it, but once my baby lies down and his arms are up in the arm holders, it naturally slides up and pushes too much into his neck for me to feel comfortable allowing him to sleep like that safely. I wanted to like it but I unfortunately did not like this sleep sack.

Neckline is choking hazard
30 April 2023

I’m not sure why there aren’t more reviews mentioning the terrible neckline design. I feel like it should be a choking hazard. I bought the correct size for my baby based on the size chart but the neckline is so tiny that it digs into the back of his neck. For reference, my baby is 14 lbs and 24.5”. There is no pull to the neckline and I can’t even fit one finger between the neckline and my baby’s neck. If he pulls his hands to his mouth to soothe, it is even much worse. I do not recommend this product at all.

Not the best for transition.
7 June 2024

I liked the regular love to dream swaddle but as a transition product this one didn’t do the job for my baby. Once she started wanting to move her arms more to soothe it just frustrated her to not be able to get her hands. Then if I let her hands fully out she would startle reflex too much still. The Merlin Sleep Suit ended up working much better for us for those reasons. Helped the startle reflex while allowing her full access to her hands.

Our Bub was small AND
4 February 2023

Our Bub was small AND an early roller! We needed something that was safe for her to be in now that she was rolling, but something that was safe for her being on the smaller side. Highly recommend this great product! Not many swaddles cater for small and early rolling babies, so we are grateful we found these, especially with the cooler months coming…Will definetly be recommending these to other parents, and certainly will be getting transition swaddles in the next size up!
