I didn’t want to buy this because it seemed unnecessary and tacky, but my daughter would scream if i zipped her arms into an arms down style swaddle, yet she was startling herself awake over and over. Tried this and she slept significantly better. We used this until she showed signs of rolling. Transition process out of it really was no problem, did one arm in and one out for a few nights and she sleeps alriiiiiggghhhttt but I sure wish it were safe just to keep her arms in! She’s definitely more agitated in her sleep without it. Ended up buying a second one early on in case the original was dirty. Hopefully that makes sense.

First of all I want to say thesleepstore has amazing service and product range, I cannot fault... love them!I don’t normally like to post negative reviews of products, but this transition swaddle has really disappointed me. I thought it was going to be perfect for transitioning to arms out after using the swaddle up bags. I carefully chose the size, when I bought the medium, my son was still 5kgs. The medium is specified for 6-8kg. My son is 4 months and he’s very little weight and length, yet we have now outgrown these within just weeks because of shrinkage of the fabric when washed. I followed the care instructions to a tee, and they seem to shrink a bit more with each wash. I’m a bit stuck about what to do as this was a pricey mistake. Also they are supposed to be 3.5 tog but the white material and sleeves are both then thin summer weight. So on a cold night across his chest is too thin. I’m not sure why is was designed this way.

I got this for my nephew, and my sister-in-law was so incredibly pleased! They've recently had their fourth child, and are veteran swaddlers, so I had my reservations. I've only been a parent for two years, so my experience with products is so much more limited than theirs, and I know at that point in parenthood, most people have a pretty good groove and have found their favorite products. It turns out, though, I worried over nothing! The Love to Dream Transition Bag was something they had been eyeing, but just had not pulled the trigger on making the investment, as the price is a bit more than the sleep sacks they use currently. But, she told me that it's an absolute MUST whenever we have our next child. But, she told me that it's an absolute MUST whenever we have our next child. Some key things she mentioned to me about it were that it's so soft--like your favorite shirt. It's loose enough that it can accommodate a blanket around the child's lower half during cold times, but still fits snugly enough that it is comforting for my nephew. She said the material is perfect for year-round use, which is something that's hard to find in swaddles, since most are either very thin or very heavy. She really liked that it's gender neutral and can unzip at the sleeves so it will continue to be useful as my nephew grows, for first-time parents, it's a great item to have, as it would accommodate any future children, as well. She really liked that, unlike other sacks they've tried, it's not like a straight-jacket and he is able to still move his hands toward his mouth to comfort himself, but it's still snug enough to prevent the dreaded sleep-flail. She recommends having it ready to use around the two-month mark if you have a long baby.I'm pretty impressed with the impression this swaddle bag has left with my family, so I highly recommend it! (:

We got this swaddle because our others were getting to be too small and didn't work. This one was nice because it still kept her nice and snug. But it also gave her her the change to kinda get to her hands with you have them zipped up. When she started to roll from her front to her back, we removed the capped sleeves to have her arms out. This still keeps her nice and snug, but now she can be save with her arms out. The warp is a nice lightweight sack for her. All she really needs under this is a long sleeve bodysuit at night. She has also spit up on this a few times, and it washes really easy and doesn't seem to hold and stains at all. This a parent must have for bedtime.
We purchased this swaddle when my son was about 2.5 months old… he was Houdini and would get out of ALL his swaddles and would constantly wake up in the middle of the night and be frustrated. This took only a day or two for him to get used to but after that transition phrase from swaddle blankets to LTD sack, it’s night and day difference! Highly recommend this; so much so we bought a second one for when he starts daycare! Pros: Keeps baby warm at night and during naps Allows his arms to be up like he wants Minimized his startle reflex Stretchy center and loose foot area allows him to lay his legs like he wants Double zipper allows sleepy diaper changes to be easier The zipper arms will allow us to free his arms as he gets older Cons: I can’t find any at this time
My baby had an amazing skill of breaking out of her swaddles, so we wanted to slowly transition her out of them, but the Love to Dream swaddle made her scream bloody murder. It is well designed with comfortable fabric and is good quality, but the sleeves were a little bit difficult to put back on once they were unzipped. We ended up quitting swaddles cold turkey and she did great, much to my relief. This didn't work for us but I'm glad we could at least continue use of this as a sleep sack. Even though it didn't work for us, it is still a good product and I could see how it would be helpful for some babies to transition from a swaddle.
Unless your baby is ready to have their arms unzipped do not get this swaddle. The arm sleeves are so small that when your baby stretches their arms above their head it pulls the swaddle up into their neck. The wings do not go high enough for your baby to sleep comfortably with their hands by their head. We used the non-transition one and the sleeves were much bigger and we liked that one. This one just doesn’t work well.
My baby is getting too long for his traditional arms-down swaddle. Initially I’ve viewed these types with the arms up and thought they didn’t really make sense. To me, it seemed like the equivalent of not using a swaddle at all, but there were so many good reviews I tried it anyways. This did not work at all. It does nothing for the startle reflex and my baby fought and fussed so long each time I tried to lay him down. I put my old swaddle back on him. I gives full range of the upper limbs.
My baby was 2 1/2 months when I bought it, she is now 3 1/2 months. So now that I have used it for a month I think I can give a good review. So she was previously being swaddled in the traditional swaddle, but would escape, startled herself, and then wake herself up. So I bought this and she has been able to sleep peacefully for most of the time. She is BF so she wakes up more often to feed but she doesn’t wake herself up because she is startled. I love it. I bought her a size medium when she was 2 1/2 months and it still fits her. When she is ready to have her arms out I can just remove the wings and continue to use.
I can’t recommend enough! Yes every baby is different so I’m not sure if it’ll work for everyone but it worked instantly for us! Our baby is 3 months old and has been breaking out of his halo swaddle for quite a while now. I kinda just suffered through having to reswaddle him multiple times a night because he didn’t take to the other options we had on hand. We tried the Merlin suit, the zipadee zip, and the halo swaddle (using the transition instructions for that) and he just wasn’t doing well with any of them. I saw good things about this and figured I’d give it a try since I was getting so frustrated waking up three or more times a night just to reswaddle. We used it last night and he slept through with no issues, and I was able to sleep solidly as well!! Im also ... MoreI can’t recommend enough!
