Lucas Oil 10005 Red 'n' Tacky Grease - 14 oz.

Used on mower wheel bearings and self propel gear. Saw product recommended on a YouTube video. They recommended the 16 ounce tub but no one carries it locally. This seems to have worked fine. Squeak is gone and rolls easily now. It was a new product at Home Depot. It wasn’t shelved yet but staff located it stored up top and retrieved it for me. I greatly appreciated the help.

3oz tube is needed, 14oz is too big to use

Technician said to used Lucas Red “N” Tacky to repack boat trailer bearings and to add grease to the Bearing Buddies as well as the fittings on my boat’s out drive. However the Lucas was not available in the 3oz tube so I had to fill an empty tube with the Lucas. I do have a 14oz grease gun, but the smaller 3oz pistol style grease gun is more practical for home use. Otherwise the product is 5 stars.

Another great Lucas product

This is the good stuff. I feel this product protects my bearings better than any other on the market. Sticks well to bearings for good heat protection and should last longer than the generic grease. I even use this in my grease gun for chassis lube. Good stuff !

Great grease

I like this grease for many reasons. Being red helps when you use it, you can see when this new grease comes out unlike black grease. Lucas also makes some of the best oil/grease products around. I've been using this for years and would never change.

Stains paint red

First off I've always loved using your product it's always been worth the money. Now this stuff Lucas 11 oz. Red N Tacky Spray Grease is garbage, what good is it if it stains your paint. I recently purchased this because the idea is great. However what is the dye, it permanently stain the paint on my 1967 chevelle and my boat! Now every where there was any over spray I have red blotches.

Exactly as it says, sticks to anything and stays there. Had a steering wheel that was annoying as anything I've heard, squeeked so bad, nobody wanted to ride in the car. Sprayed this stuff on every piece of steering gear the car had, and wow! What a fantastic job it did.

This is both super sticky for adhering to surfaces while also very slick for lubrication.You don't have to apply a lot as it spreads itself out well.I use this on the slide plate on my 5th wheel to help move it on my truck. It lasts about 6 weeks before I need to apply more (I slide the 5th wheel 2-3 times daily). I only apply a single line to each side to avoid build-up.Use care not to get this on you, it's stringy and gets everywhere! Citrus cleaning wipes worked well in cleaning up what I got on me. Brake parts cleaner works well cleaning it off metal surfaces.

This Lucas grease is the best grease for a grease gun that I have found.It actually stays put in the bearing and when it gets hot and doesn't turn into a oily mess. All the other grease gun cartridges seem to get runny when they get warm and it makes a mess of the grease gun.This stuff has a NLGI rating of #2 and is thick and heavy and stays put. I use it in the lawn mower deck blade spindles, and it is the only grease that can stand up to the heat and the spinning of the blades without turning to liquid and running out of the spindles.It might cost a little more than other grease tubes, but if you have something that is under high load or high heat, this is the grease you want. All the other stuff turns into nothing more than motor oil, then your bearing fail.

This is an innovative and superior product for several reasons. First, it comes out of the can as a foam that sticks to the area I want lubricated and does not run to surrounding areas at all. I can either spray directly out of the can for larger areas or use the small plastic concentrating tube taped to the can for smaller areas. The bright red color makes it very obvious what I have sprayed, (or over sprayed). Once on, the foam quickly concentrates into a high performance lubricant, keeping its red color so I can tell if the work area got properly lubricated. I am now using this on my garage door slides and hinges as well as the hinges in my car and house. Really takes out squeaks and makes hinges smoother. The textured can is just an added plus.
