Wayfair is very efficient and prompt with delivery. This product was packaged well and the quality is decent. The color and lavender aroma were pleasant. I followed the instructions allowing the topper to air out on a flat surface for 48 hours. The Lucid mattress topper was somewhat uncomfortable and I didn't sleep well the first night I used it - something I never experienced with my previous mattress topper. The second night I flipped the topper over and tried sleeping on it that way. It was a bit better but still not what I was expecting. FYI - I purchased a new mattress and box springs about two weeks before purchasing the topper. I have no issues with the new bed and sleep very well. Very happy!I just got it this morning. Decided to write a review now and update later, as I really rely on reviews when about to purchase an important item.Got here very well packaged and almost 1 week early!Took it out of the box, it s heavier than my previous topper from another brand. I did notice a smell initially, but it was gone within minutes. It is now on my bed taking shape. No rips as others commented. Cotton bamboo cover nice and thick and very soft to touch. Will update in a couple days.

Not at all bad! I originally wanted to get the thicker one but it was out of stock so I settled for this one. It has exceeded my expectations. I bought it for the sole purpose of reducing the heat my memory foam mattress builds up underneath me and I can say it has definitely done that. It doesn't feel cool per se, but it is keeping down the heat level significantly. Do I still overheat a little sometimes? Yes, but not at all like before. An unexpected bonus was what it did for my comfort. My bed is now 10 years old It died at least 2 years ago. We paid so much for it though, we've been loath to buy a new one. The mattress that was supposed to have a 25 yr warranty, failed and in spite of faithful rotation has sink holes in it from our bodies. We NEED a new ... MoreNot at all bad! I bought this topper for my guest bedroom for my mom while she was visiting and staying with me after her knee surgery, and I am very happy that I did. My mom has a bad back and I know she needed to be in more comfort than just a regular bed so buying her something that she could have comfort for her back and knee was what I was looking for. Cheap, hot and non-returnable even in a sealed box

I had a 3" foam egg carton type on a previous queen bed and got this for a new split king on an adjustable frame. When I received the box it was delivered in I knew it was going to disappoint by how light it was. Any quality foam is relatively heavy and this was light as a feather. I opened one of the two boxes to try it out a few nights and both my wife and I hated it. Not only did the gel foam compress poorly, it was very hot compared to the regular foam egg carton type that we previously had. I tried to return the unopened one and it was rejected by the store saying these are not allowed to be returned "because of bed bugs". This is understandable for an open one but I had an unopened & sealed package. Fast & Affordable Comfort in MINUTES

I have been sleeping on a mattress which had been functional and tolerable for quite awhile but I'd really been having some issues with hip pain and some back pain. Plus temperature control has been an issue. I couldn't afford a brand-new softer mattress but how could I say no to an inexpensive alternative such as adding a mattress topper to my existing mattress? Well, I couldn't! I've rated this 'Lucid Comfort Collection 4 Inch Gel and Aloe Memory Foam Topper' 5-stars (excellent) based on the following factors. WHAT ARRIVED: The package arrived in a clear plastic wrap that is air-vacuumed. When opening this, be very careful to only cut the plastic and not the actual product. Since it is firmly packed it takes some firm pulling to get the mattress out but once it is, you can see that everything advertised has arrived. I've seen reviews where people complain of unusual/unpleasant odors associated with this type of product but I did NOT experience any scent issues. I didn't notice any Aloe fragrance either. I didn't take any photos but its white all over and the underneath portion has raised dots on it, probably to help with sliding issues but I haven't encountered any problem with topper movement out of place. INSTALLATION: As soon as the topper has been unwrapped it unfolds easily. The instructions advise to lay the topper flat for 48 hours and then it will be ready for use. I put it on top of my bed flat. It was exactly the same size as my existing mattress. I let the topper rest there just until bedtime at which point I used a flat sheet to cover it and went ahead and slept on the topper. The following day, I took off the fitted sheet and put the topper directly on the mattress; then put the fitted sheet over it. The fitted sheet still fit the bed fine and I haven't had any issues with the fitted sheet "popping off". USE: So first of all, it is a bit more difficult to climb onto the bed but the topper is foam so when you apply weight to it, it goes down. Additionally, any extra effort required to get on top of the bed is totally worth it! This topper makes the bed a much better resting experience while sitting and laying down. My tailbone doesn't hurt anymore. I have no over-heating issues either.

Gel Breather Back Reliever

Please read the instructions. It really does take "over" 48 hours for the gel to expand. I also had to help some areas to release its compacted state by gently stretching the gel. Also, we had a fan over the mattress and flipped it several times to get that air flow and smell release. Gel is kind of difficult to sleep on but it helps your body's rest experience if you can shift your body in a manner that there are no pressure points. My rest shifted immediately with the new topper. The online picture looks like 3in. The bed is TRULY 4ins! thick.

Not immediately comfortable, but will giving time.

Had only a week. Bounced up out of the box within 36 hours. Had on bed for only few days, but dissapointed there is no scent to this one. I really thought that would be a nice feature. I know the high points are 2", but some of the other places don't seem so. We're still adjusting. Have osteaArthritis and need softness/support to really rest. Hoping this will be that eventually. I'll review again in another couple weeks.

Quality has drastically declined. Won't buy again.

I had bought the same topper in 2018 and another a few years earlier. Both of those were soft and comfortable. This new one, however, is much firmer, which defeats the purpose of the mattress topper for me (to protect my joints as I sleep). Then, after I used the new topper for a few days, I sank into it to the same level as my now-five-year-old mattress topper—it was still firm, just sunken. Comparing my old topper with the new, the new seems to have a coarser consistency in its foam compared to the old, which is probably the problem. Unfortunately, I could not return it because I'd opened it. I went back to my five-year-old topper because it's better than this new one. Very disappointing, and I won't be buying Lucid toppers anymore.
