Where do you even start when it comes to Lynx Africa What a classic scent this is, I dont think theres a single man or teenager who hasnt used this. And this has got to be a Christmas No. 1 in gift sets for men. Every man and teenager will receive at least one of these at Christmas and what a staple it is too. I dont think anyone could use any Lynx Africa and not like it, whether it be body spray, deodorant or shower gel. And when you get onto the limited edition 25th anniversary design on all 3, this is brilliant Makes it stand out so much more on the shelves too, everyone knows what Lynx looks like but this is new design will make more people buy it as the design is unique and unlike anything else that is on the shelves. Theres not a single thing that anyone could fault about these items as a whole, the brand is iconic, the scent is fantastic as always, and the design on all 3 of the products is unique and brings that extra special part to the 25th anniversary. It still smells great and lasts well, but Im not sure its right for me. The can looks good and the twist cap to spray is a nice feature. Gives it a quality feel whilst also being practical by preventing accidental spray when stored in luggage. The Africa symbol is iconic and unmistakable for any other brand or Lynx flavour. It lasts all day and the smell is the same as always, which is no bad thing. It aint broke so dont fix it, right Right It smells great and its distinctive everyone knows what Lynx Africa smells like. The fact that wearing it takes me back to this time in my life is nice and a welcome warm nostalgic bonus, but Id only wear it when Im staying in. I want to smell good all the time but, as a 26 year old professional that cares what others think, I wouldnt be caught dead at work, out with friends or on a date wearing Lynx Africa. Its popularity through its grownup transformational powers is also its undoing. I want to be sweat free so wear antiperspirant and smell like the current most popular expensive aftershave when Im around others, not hear OMG, are you wearing Lynx Africa Are you twelve. It may make you grown up as a preteen but has the opposite impact when youre postteen. All in all, I still adore it and gratefully receive a few new cans off relatives every year one Christmas my mum told everyone I loved it and I still recieve it as presents 14 years on. Would I go out and buy it myself, now No, I dont need to, but I wouldnt anyway. Im an aftershave kind of grown up now and not Lynx Africa aftershave at that.

This one surprised me if I’m honest, I’ve never bought Lynx anti-perspirant before as I have always had a go to anti-perspirant and never really changed. So if I’m honest I was sceptical about using this product to start off with. Although, the first day I tried it I just knew that I would be buying this from now on. It’s got that classic Lynx Africa scent which everyone loves and keeps you smelling fresh from first thing in the morning to late at night, no matter what activities you do and what the weather is like. Middle of the day summer heat running around in the garden with my siblings playing football and this anti-perspirant performed amazingly well, I wasn’t sweaty and still smelt as good as when I first put it on. Doesn’t leave any horrible white marks on dark clothing which is amazing as previous anti-perspirants that I have tried have left horrible white marks on dark coloured shirts and t-shirts, but with this there is no such thing as leaving white marks on dark coloured clothing - which is always a good thing! This is an amazing product which I have already started buying and stocking as this is now going to be my go to anti-perspirant. I couldn’t fault it in anyway shape or form. Absolutely love the limited edition 25th anniversary design - this stands out on the shelves from other anti-perspirants and when you see that iconic Lynx name you know this is a trustworthy and outstanding product straight away.

Lovely

I remember this deodorant from when I when I was younger, back in the 1990s. I have used it and loved it ever since. It brings back very fond memories of my more "carefree" days. I do also use other deodorants, but I always end up coming back to this one, time after time. It is one of my all-time favourites and I will never stop using it. It is lovely.

Like most men my age I have used a Lynx antiperspirant before, they are the ever present Christmas gift, or hastily grabbed can when needed most in the big shop. However this appears to be a relaunch of the white canned version, with a new spray, a larger can, and much improved properties. I decided to test-run this particular can with a trip to the gym, I chose a cardio heavy session, to really put it through it's paces. Now, you'll know that an antiperspirant does not actually stop you perspiring, it limits the amount and stops you smelling like you live in a swamp. I found with this particular can that I did sweat less from the targeted areas, and found I was sweating more from areas which had not received the cursory application prior to the trip. I did find that I smelt much better during and after exercising than I would have with my previous brand of antiperspirant, which was good. My one complaint with this can, the new spray nozzle seems to be backwards, in terms of the way you apply it. You twist the top and a lever rises, but seemingly the wrong way, and you end up pushing it away from you, which feels very alien. A minor complaint on an otherwise great product.

Make sure to look at the size

The image they show makes the can look like a standard size can. I would never have bought these if I'd noticed the size 35ml instead of the normal 150ml. They arrived and I couldn't help but laugh at how small they are. I suppose if you are going away somewhere and room is limited then one of these small sprays is ideal. The image is very misleading though.

Performed much better than I'd expected!

I have been using Lynx Africa Anti-Perspirant deodorant for the past month, having never tried the product before, although I have previously used several of the Lynx body sprays in the past. I usually use anti-perspirant deodorant products which are marketed as ‘high strength or ‘maximum protection’ and, to be honest, I was not very confident that this Lynx product would deliver the protection I require. However, I am pleased to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how well this Lynx anti-perspirant product performed, with it easily holding its own against other products currently on the market. I was most impressed with how dry and fresh the product kept me feeling throughout the day. As well as keeping me dry, the product also offered a ‘fresh’ feeling which lasted throughout the day. The ‘Africa’ fragrance is a classic scent, delivering a spicy, masculine fragrance which is pleasant without being too musky or over-powering. Another positive quality of this product is that I have not noticed any staining on my clothing after using it. No white marks on black shirts, or yellowing on my white shirts that so many other deodorant products leave behind. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. I had initially not had much hope that Lynx could deliver the same results as other anti-perspirant products that I had used before, but I was proved wrong! I will definitely continue to use Lynx for its dry, fresh-feeling protection and classic masculine fragrance.

From the moment that Lynx Africa was mentioned, I had horrible flashbacks to the overwhelming stench of secondary school changing rooms, where barely-pubescent boys would apply it liberally and to all areas of their body. Despite this, I have given the product a second chance but I think it has disappointed me even further. The current weather is almost unbearable, so the antiperspirant aspect of this product has been put to the test. I have found that to stop considerable sweating, a thick coat needs to be applied. Unfortunately, this makes the scent become way too overpowering, masking any other scented products effects (e.g. aftershave). The product description suggests that it is subtle and refined, yet the fragrance hits you like a herd of stampeding elephants - subtle is the last thing I would use to describe this product. In terms of the packaging, the bottle is quite sleek and the spray mechanism is one of the better ones I have used - however, I have found it to shoot a little lower than first expected which is something to look out for. Overall, I would not recommend this product. Above all else, I feel like it will never be able to shake the association of teenage boys and the air of childishness that comes attached with it - so much so that I have felt embarrassed using it in the changing rooms at the gym. That being said, this product will no doubt live on in the form of a gift set given at Christmas time from ill-advised Aunties. In my opinion, it is about time that it is retired.
