The sound quality is really good for an old iPod. The battery life is strong it will last a long time. I love how they come in different designs. The best thing the iPod is for is to show little kids or teenagers real responsibility and also having them enjoy listening to music and so whatever they please on it.

The iPod nano 16GB in blue is a stylish and portable music player perfect for music lovers on the move. With its user-friendly interface and ample storage, it's great for carrying your favorite tunes wherever you go. However, it may lack some features compared to smartphones. Still, if you prioritize simplicity and dedicated music playback, it's a solid choice.

Apple really did incredible with this one. Although all iPod Nanos are discontinued, the 7th Generation is definitely the best one they made. The touchscreen is incredible as far as responsiveness, and it's decently bright when tuned up to the max. Also, the screen quality is super amazing, something Apple seems to never forget when creating these things. I got a refurbished one about a year ago, and it's still just like new. Music is great on it, but I wouldn't recommend putting videos on it, because watching them is like trying to watch a movie half a mile from the screen. Music videos are alright, though, as long as you don't watch them all the time. I personally don't use it for fitness, but if I did it probably would work just fine. It comes with Nike+, but you have to buy the accessories separately for it, like the foot sensor, heart rate sensor, etc. I'm amazed at how thin this device is. Apple said, "Our thinnest iPod ever". I believe it. It's about the same thinness as several pieces of paper, which is pretty incredible. The UI (User Interface) is similar to iOS (for those of you who don't know what iOS is, it's the iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch software), but it's lacking in the real feel because the apps aren't like Safari, Messages, iTunes, etc. In fact, they aren't really apps, they're just part of the software. Also, the most recent version of the software is 1.1.2. Apple won't update it further, but there aren't many bugs in the software currently, so it should be pretty stable. Overall, it's like having a mini-iPhone without the main features of a real iPhone. It sort of feels like one when you carry it around. I love love love it, even though I've had it for a long time, but it works really well. It's fast, dependable, and the battery life is ok, though Apple could have done better, but other than that, it's amazing. I fully recommend this if you can afford it.

Best Nano yet!

Apple really got it right with the Gen 7 Nano! This is actually my 2nd one. I received a purple one as a gift in 2015. Love, love, LOVE it!! Really love the radio function. Like that better than being able to download a bunch of apps. Easy to use, sound is great. Would like WiFi, but not a deal breaker. Unit is Bluetooth enabled, so you can pair it with wireless headphones, a TV, your car's audio system (if so equipped) & auxiliary speakers. In my case, I have a Vizio sound bar connected to my TV. I pair my Nano with that and get Hi def stereo quality sound without having to purchase a stand alone sound system. Way too cool! I pair my Nano with that and get Hi def stereo quality sound without having to purchase a stand alone sound system. Way too cool! The only complaint (if you can call it a complaint) is that Apple changed the purple tone on this generation vs older Nanos. My 2 prior Nanos (Gen 2 & Gen 4)were purple that was a rich, deep Royal purple color. This one is more of a metallic pinkish lavender, just on the back plate, which is very pretty. The front of the Gen 7 is white...would like to see the purple continued on the front. Having said all that, my first Gen 7 in purple was stolen. I wanted to replace it with the exact same model as I did not want the person who gifted me the iPod to know it was stolen. Originally tried to purchase new one from Apple, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, etc, but no one had them in stock. Now, Apple does not even offer this generation in purple. Have spoken to several support reps at Apple. No one seems to know why. As a result, I was forced to buy a used or refurbished unit, so I came to eBay. Unit I bought is in perfect cosmetic condition. It does have engraving on the back, but a $2 silicone skin purchased on Amazon takes care of that issue quite nicely. My only genuine concern is the battery seems to drain faster than the one I had for almost 2 years. I think that is more an issue of the prior owner not conditioning the battery correctly. I used to have a Generation 1 iPod touch that I could download games && apps before I purchased my first tablet. My entire music library is in iTunes, which is not easy to convert to Android to play on my tablet or smartphone. I just wanted a no frills, good quality MP3 player that I could access my extensive iTunes library on. This is perfect for that. If I want to ay a game, take a picture, surf the web, etc, I can use my tablet or smartphone. For music playback, you just can't beat the Nano. All in all, I am thrilled at the performance and cosmetic appearance f my used iPod for just over half the price of a new Nano that isn't even available in purple any longer.

Great still can find it on eBay, best item in the world. Dont know why Apply discontinued it.

I take care of a friends baby, and she uses iPod Nano 7th for baby sleeping music. Thats I first time know this item. (I am an Apple fan, but I probably some reason miss it.) Then, I search on line, know this item is ten-years-old!!! I found mine in a pawn shop seller on eBay (I trust pawn shop than seller from China). A brand new one. Surprise me that, the ten years old battery is still working well. However, I bought a battery pack dock to keep the battery life. Long story short, I love it. It is very very light weight (even with external battery pack) than my iPhone 12, and I can bring it to fitness without heavy weight iPhone. I link to my speaker to listen radio when I work on my desk. (It is not necessary to use headphone for radio if you use aux cable link to your speaker. It still can work this way.) I really hope Apple can continue this item, because iPod touch or iPhone are so heavy like brick when workout. I am glad I bought one while eBay still has it.

Ideal for Small-fingered Listeners (Red 7th Gen)
3 February 2021

Does exactly what it should - plays music and is very easily portable. The fitness feature is great for step counting when out walking. I use it a lot as it stores music for teaching dance and drama classes as well as just for personal use, so it has to be sturdy enough for going to dance studios and being played via various systems. This is my 4th iPod Nano over a period of 16 years - would only be my 3rd but I lost one recently and this is a like for like replacement. Doing the sums, an iPod lasts me for about 5 years of hammering! Controls may be a bit fiddly if you don't have wee fingers, but that's not an issue for me. As good as new, although it was a refurbished unit. .Recommended.

Nice
23 January 2024

Have had a lot of trouble setting up and still am but not Nano’s fault. Nice, super compact, beautiful color. Even came with a clear plastic protector to keep from getting scratched. I still think I prefer my Walkman but this works. Holds a lot of tunes. I have it plugged into my little Sony speaker as I can’t get it to pair with Bluetooth. Again, not Nano’s fault. Just user is not tech savvy. If you like your tunes and don’t want to keep draining your phone battery, this little guy is great. Even came with earphones. Everything like it was new.

I love my new iPod Nano 7th Generation, though I have to learn a few tricks for fast-forwarding to the next song more easily while working out and unable to see the display properly (because I need my reading glasses). The sound and controls are far superior to my previous iPod Nano, 5th Generation, though I don't like the Apple headphones that came with the device and purchased a new pair that fit my ears better. I give this product 4 stars instead of 5 because I did have to contact Apple Support and get transferred to a supervisor who was able to walk me through some technical issues: although this is a 7th Generation iPod with a genuine serial number, apparently this particular device is over six yeas old and not entirely compatible with iCloud technology. Songs must be downloaded on my desktop computer and hard-synced through a cable to the iPod. However, once downloaded, those songs transfer wirelessly to my iPad Air2, which was a pleasant surprise; unfortunately, I cannot download songs on my iPad and sync them to the iPod (wirelessly or with a cable) because the iPod is so old. But I can download music to my iPad Air2 and hard-sync them to my desktop computer, I believe. Then, I can hard-sync those downloads to the iPod--a little awkward, but I can make it work. Overall,I'm very happy with this purchase and hope that the device will last for quite a while. I hope this review is helpful....

Streaming music is for the birds!
1 February 2024

When you pay someone to stream music you will hear songs that they think you will like. If you have your own IPod, you only have to listen to songs that you DO like! It's why I don't understand music streaming. I have two IPod Nanos. One will be in my car playing whenever I drive while the other one gets recharged and is ready to play instantly when the battery on the first one finally needs recharging. I can't be without my music. And I mean MY music!

The good:I am glad to finally have Bluetooth on this. It works great and the sound is AMAZING with their matchless mixing and EQ quality! The mono audio feature (see: Settings>General>Accessability>Mono Audio On) is also great to use when you are listening in only one ear but don't want to lose the stereo quality sound of both ears (make sure to switch back when plugged into your car or listening to more than one speaker). All in all this is a great device with easy song transfer "drag and drop" and incredible sound quality. It also has a mic recorder if you have headphones plugged in with a mic built in. The podcasts are also great if you wanna hear a sermon or lecture without worrying about losing signal like you would with a phone. The bad:You can add songs to a new playlist, but you cannot name the playlist from the device itself, it has to be through iTunes plugged in (not convenient while in town or out and about), AND, if you are hearing a song you like and want to add it to a playlist (which you can't make up titled on the spot), you have to go out of the song back to playlists, scroll up and click "add", then go find the song and add it, instead of just being able to hold over the song you are currently listening to and click "add" to a playlist or make up one right there. This is something smartphones and other mp3's have been able to do for YEARS but Apple has ignored this convenience for all this time and acts like making it more complicated is somehow better and "different". That or, creating problems now and fixing them later on the next generation makes the next one look better? A simple download update could fix this today for all these Apple devices. To Apple I say, "update it to allow us to add>edit>title playlists right on the device and hold over the song to instantly add it to a current playlist or create a new playlist. That was my biggest complaint, my other 2 minor complaints is there is no physical 'song skip' buttons which come in handy while driving if plugged into car, to keep eyes on road or avoid having to turn screen on ( to skip songs without looking, you can hook it to Bluetooth device at same time it is physically plugged into car and use the skip button on your Bluetooth device, but it acts kinda buggy sometimes if you do). Also, I don't know why but when physically plugged into car sometimes it'll randomly skip a song in the middle of one, right when the awesome solo is about to start....lol.The verdict:As a musician, I am a sucker for great tone. Because the sound is so well mixed and it's so portable and light while running, it is still worth the inconvenient things mentioned above. Great battery life as well, so its awesome for parties through a sound system (having cell plugged in during party for music is inconvenient if it starts ringing! lol...) This is portable but also easily loseable, so I Velcroed this to my phone because I prefer it's tone and it's so tiny I don't notice it being attached lol. With an update for playlists and a physical skip button, this easily would've gotten 5 stars.*If you want the freedom of Bluetooth, but also great tone, a great complimentary headset for these I'd recommend is the LG HBS-800. The tone is really great, you hear all the highs and lows and background instruments you didn't know were there! There are many FAKES so buy from a store like Best Buy or Walmart (if online make sure they are the seller, not a 3rd party), I have tried two fakes and realized I wasted time and money and got the real thing and it was worth it! I use the "rock" EQ setting on the iPod Nano with these and it's a great combination!
