Mac Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara

This mascara surprised me! Mac actually has some very good mascaras, this one is definitely a lengthening mascara. This makes my eyelashes appear sooo long and curls them so well! I love the thin wand for coating every single lash precisely. The wand makes it so much more easier to apply and this mascara NEVER gets messy. It doesn’t smudge on me either. This mascara is super good on its own but I personally go in with a lengthening mascara and then a volumizing mascara afterwards. It so amazing how evenly it spreads across the eyelashes, my mother brought this from the Mac shop in Peterborough town centre and this was in December 2017 I love it so much..

I have tried countless waterproof mascaras and this is by far my favorite. I have always use mascara that is waterproof because I tend to rub my eyes throughout the day. I hate when mascara smears beneath my eyelids and this is the most gentle waterproof mascara I have ever found. The only problem with this mascara is it doesn’t last in a pool or ocean but it is absolutely amazing for every day use. I wear it everyday and love how natural it looks on my eyelashes! It never clumps or causes my lashes to stick together!

5 stars for lower lashes only

A beautiful mascara that lengthens and makes lashes appear super black! But there's a stipulation.... It is only great for the lower lashes. If I put it on my top lashes, which are short and straight, the formula pulls them down and makes them literally point downward. No amount of curling will prevent it. It gives no volume, which is a must for my top lashes. BUT it makes my bottom lashes look amazing and it can be built to two coats. It doesn't volumize, but it makes each individual lash look plump and thick. Because the formula does the opposite of curling (straightens and brings down with gravity) it makes my lower lashes appear longer than they actually are (pulls them down is the best way I can describe it) and is the very reason it works so well for lower ... MoreA beautiful mascara that lengthens and makes lashes appear super black! Seperates them beautifully. I use two coats per eye and it is perfect. Just don't expect much of you're using it on those top lashes. Only real con is the small size of the tube. Wish it came with more product. However, one tube can last about six to seven months with 2-3 times weekly use before it starts to dry out and become unusable. On my third tube and will be purchasing a fourth when it's time.

Better tuning mascaras out there - ok for bottom lashes but not even the best for that

That said, because of fall out, I need to use tubing mascaras particularly for my bottom lashes. Generally I will apply one coat of a non tubing mascara to my top lashes and use a second coat with a tubing mascara. In respect of tubing mascaras I’ve tried - Modelco, Rimmel, Kevin Aucoin curl and volume mascaras and now this one. I brush of this mascara is most similar to the Kevin Aucoin volume brush but the formula is a lot more wet. For this reason, it does not perform well when used as a second coat and I found it really clumped my lashes together in a way I have not experienced with other tubing mascaras. Re the bottom lashes- I found then Kevin Aucoin curl easier to use as the curled brush is still fine but helps to prevent transfer onto your under eye skin.As for long lasting tubing performance, it was as good as any other tubing mascara I’ve used. It does a pretty good job at lengthening lashes but no better than the Modelco tubing mascara and the clumping is not ideal. For those that like volume, possibly this is a good choice, it was just too much for me!!

I was expecting so much more

I normally order the Thrive tubing mascara, but I bought this one after reading some proming reviews. This product does not compare. Upon application it dried so fast that it was hard to build length in a single coat. Mandatory multiple coats. I have short lashes so this felt like a lot of effort. It comes off with water technically, but not in nice little tubes. There was smudging everywhere. It took way longer to remove. I would not buy this product again.

Long, natural lashes without clumpy-ness or panda eyes :)

I'm super picky in regards to mascaras but I love this one. This mascara has a similar consistency to the cliniques mascara (which is also super good). Its formula is quite thin and is effective in making lashes appear longer - not necessarily fuller/thicker. The mascara doesn't leave your lashes clumpy and nor does it smudge. This makes it super ideal for bottom lashes which I often use it for. However its fairly easy to remove with water/make up remover. Its a super nice, simplistic mascara that will make your lashes look much longer without looking as though you're wearing mascara. I highly recommend this mascara to anyone who wants to achieve longer but natural looking lashes.

Natural lengthening look

My eyes tend to be very sensitive to some of the big names for mascara and the reviews stated this was better for sensitive eyes. No burning. No redness. It's lovely. It definitely lengthens and separates beautifully and the wand is long and skinny to even get the hard to reach corners. If you want fullness, another brand would be better. But I've had 2 people comment in the last few weeks how long my eyelashes look and I love how It separates and defines the inner corners.

Separates and lengthens lashes beautifully

This mascara lifts and separates lashes and lasts. The carbon black is so flattering and makes my lashes look thicker and longer. It lifts my lashes and never clumps, it often looks like I have had eyelash extensions and I have had many compliments when I use this. It is waterproof so it’s great when I want a mascara that will last for a very long time. I will admit it’s a bit harder to remove than a normal mascara but a good micellar water on a pad makes the job much easier. I love that this doesn’t flake or smudge on my face, it’s a clean professional look. Love it

Stays All Day

I'm 45, I've tried a lot of mascaras and this is the ONLY one I will wear. Here's the deal. My lashes are light brown and and fairly long already, but I definitely need mascara. I want a mascara to darken and define my lashes, I don't want some crazy fake lash look. I want it to stay in place (I hate waterproof mascara). This stuff fits the bill. I am a former detective and had verrrrry long days....like in the 50 some hours and this mascara never budged. It didn't flake, smudge or move. Even when stuck outside on a scene in rain, snow or super humid days, this mascara stayed in place. I have tried numerous others and they just don't hold up. I wear it to the beach and after I get out of the water, its just kinda gone, not running down my face.
