Mac in A Sac Origin 2 Waterproof Unisex Overtrousers - Khaki

This product and the matching jacket are excellent. I am currently doing winter pruning on grapevines in a vineyard and we have just had the wettest day of the year. I spent 8 hours pruning the vines and when I returned my clothes were completely dry underneath the jacket and trousers.

Super light! (and therefore a bit frail)Waterproof to a point: when it's raining (while backpacking) the whole day everything will get wet at a point.It's my third pair -> so I'm happy with them!!!

Brilliant, comfortable lightweight waterproofs

Really impressed by these. I bought them together with the jacket. I haven't been out in the rain with them for hours yet, but on shorter trips of an hour they've kept me completely dry in the lashing rain of the Hebrides. They are so light and packable, but also very comfortable. They fit well as overtrousers, they're a little baggy, but not too much. They keep the wind and rain out, but despite being so thin keep in the warmth just enough, but not too much. Despite elasticated waist and velcro ankles there was no condensation at all so they seem to breath well. I'm 177cm tall, a bit round at waist and quite short legs, so it's always difficult to get trousers to fit my waist that aren't too long! I'm too short not too fat! I went for XL. They are exactly as described and the fit on me is OK, but with the flexibility of the elasticated waist I could have gotten away with L and these may have been slightly shorter and slightly less baggy. But despite that they are super comfortable, with really good ease of movement. They are single layered and thin, but that's why they're light - time will tell if they're durable enough. You can get lighter from brands like OMM but at a far higher price, and will anything be durable that is that thin? I highly recommend these, and will be buying a set for my wife, and maybe a size L pair for me.

Delighted

I came across New Forest Clothing whilst searching on-line for a waterproof coat. I ordered a long coat and pair of waterproof over trousers. Everything about this transaction was brilliant. The order arrived very quickly and I was kept informed at all times. I am absolutely delighted with my purchases. The coat is lovely, and fits perfectly with a little room for a jumper underneath if I require a bit of extra warmth. I chose the colour blue and it’s a lovely shade. All in all, I cannot fault this company at all. Very impressed with them and I am now looking at their woolly hats.

Fabulous over trousers

My waterproof trousers are fantastic. They are light weight and very breathable. Perfect for keeping me warm and dry. No overheating if the weather changes mid dogwalk. Also, little or no swishing noise, when walking.

First downpour whilst cycling

Very soft and effective.I've put off buying wet weather trousers in the ten years I have cycled on commutes.I should have ordered sooner, these are great and they experienced their first downpour last week. I was completely dry by the time I got to the office. They were easy to pull on over leggings mid cycle on the road side and they dried quickly and packed away easily.

Great Overtrousers!

So relieved to have the overtrousers along with my poncho to get me through these really windy, wet days driving in open Landrovers and trucks. Give me extra warmth from the cold too, and thin enough to additionally have overalls on top of I’m doing outside maintenance.Please let me know when the ones with full length side zips come in stock, in khaki. These would save me taking muddy boots off when changing.

Inexpensive and do the job

Simple and do the job. In hindsight, I would have bought the ones with zips - it is a bit of a pain having to take your shoes/boots off . Also a simple elasticated waist - I think I’d have preferred a drawstring as well. Not saying the trousers aren’t worth it, just that I probably made the wrong decision for me.

Overall good but not sized properly

I got a size L, I am petite and slim, and I am not able to wear these as the elastic at the waist is painfully pushing against my stomach / body. Absolutely unable to wear and have to return. Otherwise, the product is well thought-through and while it's a little too baggy it's probably perfect to wear over other trousers (as it should be!). It'd be fantastic if the waist was much bigger, to accomodate all bodies. I'm usually a size M, but I feel like I'd need an XXL for these trousers.

Packable Waterproof Overtrousers

The lightweight, packable nature of these waterproof trousers is great. They have performed well in some heavy showers, so far. Good level of breathability.The big downside to the design is the lack of any side zips on the lower legs, this means having to take one's shoes / boots off to get the trousers on, standing on one foot at a time - trying not to get wet feet whilst getting the trousers on outdoors, as it starts to rain. Or pre-empting rain by putting my waterproof trousers on before going out for a walk or a bike ride.A tweak to the design by having a zip running down the side of each leg, covered by a seam-sealed flap would make it possible to get the trousers on quickly over walking shoes, hiking boots, trainers, etc
