I have been searching for a red lipstick for ages and I thought i should try the famous mac ones. The packaging is totally what convinced me to buy it because it looks so chic and luxurious. I really like the scent It's kind of sweet compared to all the other lipstick that smell like expired wax crayons. Only thing I'm not so fond of is that it kinda has a pinkish hue to it and it's not a deep scarlet red like I thought it would be. Also, the durability is not great but not bad either just make sure to apply a coat, let it dry, than apply another coat to make sure everything stays in place and that is doesn't move as it's a velvety and not matte lipstick. This technique I swear by will also help deepen the color of your red and make it less pink.

If anyone asks for a nude lipstick recommendation from me, my go to, ride or die lipstick, is always Mac faux satin. It is the perfect nude for any occasion and works on so many skin tones as well! The perfect shade for brunch or for a night out! This lipstick works for anything. It is a satin formula but is still super creamy so doesn't feel drying on the lips. It also has really good staying power so only needs topping up after a meal or drink. I think this is the fourth stick of this colour I have now and I will never tire of it! The packaging is standard but not to be mistaken for another.

I mostly use matte color lipsticks because it tends to stay put through out the day. I decided to try the ultra sheer lipsticks. I liked the velvety snd luxury kind of feel on my lips as I applied the sheer lipstick. It gave my full lips a more hydrated snd moisturized kind of look. Giving it a more sexier appeal to my lips. I am totally not a lipstick expert, and of all the lipsticks I have accumulated over the years that I've either purchased on my own or gotten free with a purchase, I haven't been a fan of a single one, for various reasons. M.A.C cosmetics have always been my choice for makeup products. The lip colors are vibrant and nice. The consistency is very smooth and creamy. It is not very expensive as compare to other name brand makeup. M.A.C cosmetics is in many of the mall locations i dont think it is as accessiable as compare to other. It doesnt have rosy smell like chanel but it is not chemical like other. The packaging is very nice and neat. I can easily fit a phone, wallet, and lipstick in my mini bag without problem. I tried the matte finish before and my lip chapped so much but this doesnt have the same problem. I would recommend this product due to the color variety, and price. Overall this product is easy to use.

Absolutely Upset

I purchased this item online thinking I'd finally found something very similar to the Candy Yum Yum shade of lipstick only to discover the picture advertised was not the product I received. The lipstick I was sent is a completely different shade with a fuchsia hue(705 Flat Out Fabulous), not the bright pink shade advertised. I saved this lipstick for a special occasion and finally when I opened up the package I was quite disappointed to find this was not what was advertised online. As soon as I discovered this was not what I ordered I went in to Macy's and unfortunately, because I was saving this lipstick for a special occasion I'd just missed the return/exchange date by 2 days. MAC, get a colour analyst!!!

I wish Mac had more of a focus on curating a more flattering collection of lipstick colours. I think it would be worthwhile to have a professional colour analyst on their team that helps develop colours and categorize them by season (i.e. true summer, dark winter, etc.). The colours on their own are pretty but that doesn't mean anything if they're not flattering on peoples complexions. I feel like I never see a MAC lipstick on anyone and think « That looks amazing and wakes their whole face up ». They are always just OK. There's a huge market and surge in popularity for colour analysis nowadays and I think it would help tremendously in creating colours that actually flatter everyone. I think it would start to set the brand apart.
